Behind the five Grimm Grand Lords, there are over a hundred High-Grandmasters, over a thousand Grandmasters, and around fifteen thousand Masters.
People behind me saw these numbers with sheer horror; they were not fearing it but thinking about what would have happened. If they didn’t have the powerhouses match them, the answer is clear, total destruction.
Forget the decade; if they had attacked us with these numbers two years ago, we would have been defeated in a matter of days.
Thousand Grandmasters and a hundred Grand Lords are enough for that, and the thing is, it is not their real numbers. Like us, a certain number of their forces had stayed back, and it might attack us the moment we enter inside the thing; it has happened many times in the past.
Within a second of my appearance, I felt the gazes of Grimms on me, especially of the old snake, which made me shudder all over.
“They are looking at you like they want to eat you alive,” said Ellen, “They would be given half a chance,” I said; Grimm eat humans, and if they get the chance, I am sure they will waste a chance to eat me alive; the price they have kept on my head would entice even a Grand Lord.
The reward on my head had now become even greater than the Grand Lord itself.
“That thing is really different,” said Ellen after some time, “Yes, it is,” I said as I cast another glance at the yellow frothy squirming thing pouring out of the ground; it did not look like a thing that would take us to the realm of danger and rewards.
A few minutes passed, and when a teleportation formation flashed in the air and brought the professor, Elina, and a few other people.
Both of them were sent to the emergency mission by Pyramid a few hours ago, and I feared they might not be able to return on my time, but they have returned, and it couldn’t make me sad and relieved at the same time.
One part of me was hoping that they would not come in time as the place we are going is extremly dangerous, and they might not be able to return, and I don’t want to lose a good friend and mentor; most importantly, Marina would be heartbroken, if something were to happen either of them.
The other part of me was hoping they would return on time, so they would be able to enter inside and take advantage of the biggest opportunity the world has to offer.
I nodded at them before turning back; the place of each one was decided, or I would have really gone toward them. The Pyramid wants to project the human forces as one single unified force as it is and not the one that is made of different organizations and cliques.
As time passed, more people came, Masters, Grandmasters, and High-Grandmasters; these would be directly sent here the moment they appeared from the ruins.
Three hours after arriving, two people appeared; seeing them, a smile couldn’t help but appear on my face. I thought they might miss it, but they were not; Leonard and Ida had come at the right time; they are one of my proudest achievements.
They have made huge progress in the past few years; Leonard is a powerful High-Grandmaster, while Ida is at the peak of the Grandmaster class, having the ability to fight against the High-Grandmaster.
She is still the most talented fighter I have ever seen; I have personally trained her for months, pushing her boundaries with everything I could teach her, and she absorbed it like a sponge; her combat skills have improved so tremendously that she has now surpassed most of the old monster of her level.
Another hour passed, and yellow frost had spread even further; a teleportation formation materialized beside me, and two people wearing clocks and masks appeared; their cloaks and masks were a powerful artifact that one could not sense the slightest bit of their aura or see their appearance.
Ellen looked at them carefully and frowned as she was not able to ascertain their identity; the Grimm Grand Lords tried to move their soul sense toward them but were stopped immediately by the soul senses of our Grand Lords.
“I did not think you guys would come,” I said simply, “and miss this great opportunity; we are not idiots Micheal,” said the cloaked voice.
“I did not mean that; its just that I did not think your teacher would let you come here given how much he loved you too,” I explained.
Snort!
“That old man tried,” said the cloaked voice with a snort.
“Its nice to see you again, Micheal,” said the other cloaked person, “You too,” I replied, without taking their names. These are twins with their cosmic elemental cores; they do not need such places to improve fast; the cosmic energy is more than enough for them.
Still, it is a good thing they are coming because, with their core, they would be easily able to find the resources containing cosmic energy.
I need those resources.
A few more hours passed by, and yellow froth spread further; it had reached its end, and if the past data is in the right, then in an hour or two, it will begin to consolating.
A process of a few minutes, which will take us inside it.
This froth is not a gate but the thing itself that we are going to enter. This froth contains the world in itself, it is hard to believe, but it is a truth. The research we have done on it and the things we have found inside all point that it is the truth.
Hun!
A teleportation formation appeared, and another person with cloaked gear appeared; aside from twins, two more with cloaked had appeared, and this one was a third and also man and the one who is giving me quite a familiar feeling.
I think I know him and know him quite well but couldn’t tell who it is.
‘Didn’t he seem familiar to you?’ Ellen asked suddenly, and I couldn’t help but nod; the instinct of people of our power is quite good. If we feel we know him, then we certainly do.
Though we did not initiate the conversation with this familiarly unfamiliar person, our faces were visible. So, it is he who should initiate the conversion, but it seemed like he does not have an intention to do that, which is fine too. There are more than enough people to talk to.
Hun!
A few minutes passed, and another person appeared, not among us, but in the Grandmaster, and he was different. My seed is inside him, and like most people who came, my seeds inside immediately them immediately passed the data to me; this data is the one I hate to see the most.
‘An activated spy, Grand Commander,’ I informed her, ‘Name, level?’ she asked back. ‘Patric Niel, Grandmaster,’ I informed and could see the Grand Commander sighing.
Each Grandmaster is precious; it hurts when they activate as a spy; this Grandmaster is not the one I produce. If one of mine had activated as the spy, the seed inside would have killed them on the spot before they could deliver a single piece of information to Grimms.
This one is quite lucky; it had been three days since he had activated through the genetic timer and did not pass the info. If it had tried, it would have died and would still die within a week due to the mechanism I have fitted inside my seed to deal with such trouble.
‘Deal with it discreetly,’ she said, ‘Yes,’ I affirmed and set the timer through the seed.
Like the Grand Commander had asked, it would die discretely, or at least not in front of these people. The moment he passed through, the program inside the seed with activating, and its heart and brain would implode, killing him in an instant.
It is the second reason why the Grimms hate me so much; I have been able to find nearly all their spies, and for that, they hate me to the bone. As for the first reason for hating me is obviously me producing the powerhouses at factory speed; without these numbers, we would have already lost the war year ago.
