‘The consolidation begins,’ I said as the yellow froth stopped coming out of the ground and started to recede back, but not on the ground.
It had begun to take shape, as for what shape it would take is a mystery as every time it is different, but it did not affect the end result.
In the place where masters are, teleportation formations appeared, and people started appearing one after another. These are the replacement for the Masters that the council had chosen; the chosen could not return on time from ruins, so now their replacement would take their place.
Currently, only the replacements of Masters are appearing as they will be the first to enter this place, but soon it will be replacements of Grandmasters and even High-Grandmaster, as the time comes.
I was watching the consolidation of the frost when the teleportation appeared beside twins, and another person appeared, and this time is not masked and clocked like others, and she instantly attracted the attention of all the Grimms.
“You have taken quite a lot of time to come,” I said to Jill, who was wearing a black battlesuit; seeing it, I couldn’t help but be surprised, the artifact is extremly powerful, but that is not a surprising thing. What is surprising is that she is wearing an ancestral artifact of the Hawthorn Sea, which was once upon a time worn by Ramona Hawthorn.
She is the second person to wear it after Ramona Hawthorn herself.
“I have just appeared from the ruin a minutes ago and sent directly here,” she replied and looked around.
She had grown really powerful that the threat I was feeling from her was no weaker than what I was feeling from Ellen. This is not surprising, seeing how much hard work she had put in, and she is the host of the most powerful inheritance this world has ever seen.
The yellow froth came close to taking shape, and expressions on everyone’s became cautious; I readied myself and felt the air around me getting charged with power.
Many times, the Grimms had attacked when the froth had taken shape; it is unclear whether they will attack or not, but one thing is clear I have to be ready.
Another minute and a half passed when finally the yellow froth consolidated into an oval shape disk, which had spread over nearly five hundred meters and was floating about a hundred meters above the air.
“Hehe, It would be bad if we started without an old age tradition,” said the old snake with a laugh, and immediately hundreds of thousands of grey snakes appeared. They are made of energy and come in all shapes and sizes. The smallest snake being small as a finger, while the biggest one is hundreds of meters long.
The attack of the old snake is vast that it covered the whole sky; each snake it produced was strong. Even a tiny one was enough to make me shudder with fear.
The Grand Lords’ power is no joke, this is just a casual attack of it, but it is enough to wipe out nearly everyone in this place. Without the protection of Grand Lords, we will be like a chicken on a cutting board; it will be able to kill us in any way it wants.
“Careful; this is the old snake’s attack,” cautioned Grand Commander while looking at a sky full of snakes made of Grand Lord’s energy.
Sharr Sharr Sharr
The snakes stayed in their spots for a few seconds, roaring in their scary voice; the attack was a psychological tactic; the bastard wanted to lower our morale before we entered that thing, but the attack could turn into something else if we could not defend the attack.
It had happened more than one time that our Grand Lord was not able to properly defend against the attack, and it led to the battle.
The Grand Lords did not move to see the attack, and only when the attack reached halfway did the lady angela raise her bony hand and wave down.
Just as she did, the giant blue glittering net appeared in the sky and moved down toward the snakes. The snakes tried attacking it and moved away from its way, but nothing seemed to work as it stretched itself toward the snake, not wanting to let go of even a single snake.
Soon, the net had reached the snakes, and they attacked it with a full fury of curse fire, and what attack it was, it had completely mesmerized me.
The blue net shimmered, and in some places, it blacked out, but still able to hold on, it began to envelop the snakes, which tried their hard to run away, but not a single one was able to do it. Each and every snake caught in the net before it turned to bundle and disappeared.
“Have you finished with your little game, old snake, or do I need to entertain you further?” asked Lady Angela as the simple wooden staff appeared on her hand, which the old snake looked cautiously.
The old snake’s slitted eyes lighted up for a moment, hearing the challenge, but it shook its head. “We will fight soon, but first let our people enter,” It said.
“We will use the old formula,” It added, and Lady Angela simply nodded.
“Masters forward!” ordered Grand Commander, and the Masters immediately moved forward with the order they had assigned.
The old formula the Grimm had referred to was two and a half Grimm per human, which is not fair for humans, but we did not have a choice. As we once declined and a fight broke out, the Grand Lords fought; their fight lasted for more than three hours, the entrance closed, and the opportunity was missed.
The opportunity is too big to miss, even under such an unfair deal, but we are used to it, which is why gains are rarely lower than the Grimms; most of the time, they are equal and even higher.
The feet of the first eight humans and ten Grimms touched the oval froth, and immediately, they were consumed by it. The froth climbs up on their bodies, covering them fully; the moment that happens, the froth falls back down in its place, minus people.
Immediatly, the second group took their place a fraction of a second later they too disappeared before another group took their place.
Things are going smoothly, but they could go wrong at any time; the Grimms are notorious for breaking agreements. It is why all the humans are cautious, even Masters who are entering; each of them could burst into their full power within a moment and attack.
Soon, half of the Masters entered, and the replacements of Grandmasters began to appear; those who had not come were going to lose their lives.
“Grandmasters forward!” Grand Commander ordered, and eight people besides me moved forward; the only person remaining was a masked and cloaked man who seemed familiar but did not know who he was.
The gazes of the humans and Grimms became sharp as the first batch of the human and Grimm Grandmaster moved forward. This batch is the most powerful one, each and everyone capable of fighting against a powerful High-Grandmaster, some even against quasi-Grand Lords.
Thankfully nothing happened, and I let go of the breath I did not know I was holding.
