'I hope everything goes smoothly as it is,' I thought as I looked at the distance we were crossing rapidly.
An hour passed, and we crossed an enormous distance. If we keep moving at such speed, then in three hours, we will reach the blood beam, which has become even darker.
Till now, we have not come across a Sovereign which these two cannot intimidate, but our luck will not last forever.
In the prison, alone, I have seen a couple of sovereigns who could deal with these two, and in the cavern, there were over a thousand Sovereigns. Multiplying that number makes our chances of reaching the center quite slim.
Still, there is no other option but to try.
Half an hour passed, and we came across a few more Sovereigns; one came at us, while the rest just watched.
As I watched the Sovereign, I had noticed that they were in a lot more control than the Primary. There are not as many fights as compared to Primary, even when I take the difference in their numbers into consideration.
Hun!
A few more minutes passed when I saw both of them turning and a few seconds later, I sensed a horned man coming toward us.
Soon, he appeared in front of us, and we had to stop. Kara and Clem pushed me back as turned to the blue-horned man.
"We don't want to fight," said Kara, to which the horned man grinned. "But I do," he replied, and nobody is surprised. If he didn't want to fight, he wouldn't have appeared in front of us.
"We have a way to get out of this place. You are welcome to join us," Clem invited, and a horned man got surprised before his expression turned serious.
For a moment, I thought he would accept the offer, but soon a grin appeared on his face, and I know I had been too much of optimistic.
"Why should I leave when I get to kill powerful people at my heart's content?" he said with a grin. "There will be only twelve survivors here," said Kara, trying despite knowing she will not be changing his mind.
"And I will be one of the twelve," he said and disappeared from his spot and appeared beside Kara and Clem a next moment, before attacking.
From his aura, he is clearly more powerful than them, but power is not everything. Especially when the difference in power is not overwhelming.
They reacted instantly, water and earth elemental power burst out of their bodies and they reacted.
CLANNNG!
Clem defended, taking two steps back before Kara attacked. The horned man expected that, as he quickly moved his fiery lance and defended against Kara's attack, before attacking her swiftly.
Clem defended, and Kara moved once again to attack; forcing the horned man to move back his spear to counter it.
The opportunity, which Clem quickly used to attack.
'They have fought before,' I thought, looking at the way they are fighting. Their teamwork is quite good from what my clones have studied and their elements complement each other quite well.
I stayed away, but not too much.
I could sense the few presences and hid while activating the stealth method to its full power.
My clones have been able to make some minor changes to make them more effective in this environment. There is also the aura of the battle, which is providing the biggest protection, but could also turn harmful if they get too close to me.
It feels quite frustrating that I couldn't do anything to help them.
I wish I could at least help them open their other abilities, which are being suppressed by this place, but the brand is too strong.
While I have been running across this place, many of my clones tinkering with the brand and they have been able to find shocking things. It is extremely dangerous and powerful enough that even Earth Sovereigns couldn't do anything else.
It scared me, but I had already expected it.
What I had not expected is the sheer amount of data I am getting from the brand. It is extremely valuable, and I will use it a lot to create my seeds.
Currently, I could only create the most basic seeds, but the reason for the Sovereign stage. I will get the power to create the advanced ones that I used to create my world.
It is not the raw power, I need to create them. If that's all I needed, I would have created them a long ago, but they also need many things. Some simple, some mysterious, that I will only get when I gain that power in my hand.
I pushed those thoughts and focused on the battles ahead.
Kara had got the injury. It is light, but it is in her heart. If that sphere had gone even a couple of inches deeper, or she hadn't dealt with those energies.
She would have been lying dead right now.
Still, it is quite shocking to see that despite being Early-Sovereign; she is fighting against the High-Sovereign, while there is Clem, who is a Mid-Sovereign helping her. It is still quite amazing considering her enemy is no normal high-Sovereign.
Soon, three minutes passed, and they suffered four injuries. Three by Kara, while one by Clem.
They are doing well, despite their enemy using his full power. He could do nothing more than lightly injure them.
They also steadily seemed to have gained ground in him. Many of their attacks were dodged by hairbreadth distance, and it was making their enemy angry.
Though he remained calm.
I hope they deal with it soon, but that is likely the case. Given how powerful the bastard is, it will take them a while before they part ways.
Killing him will be hard, unless, of course, they were hiding their power. They have to make him back down, and make him understand they did not worth the effort; it could take one minute or one hour for that to happen.
Or they could have continued fighting for hours before the result of the fighting comes out.
I was thinking that when a sudden change occurred on the battlefield. They have scored their first injury on the horned man.
A minute passed, and now, there are five injuries on his body.
It happened so suddenly.
Their power increased, and it is not just their power, but also the fluidity in their teamwork. I know immediately that they have known each other longer than I had thought earlier.
Such teamwork couldn't be produced through a week or two of fighting together.
Three more minutes and more injuries appeared on the horn man's body. These injuries are light, but it is making him angry, but like before, he is keeping that anger in control.
If the Grimms had been this angry; they would have lost control ages ago.
"Fuck it. I give up!" cursed the horned man and took a step back, while Kara and Clem also stopped and looked at him cautiously.
"I will not waste my time on you two," he said and flew away, disappearing from my view in a few seconds.
