Chapter 3233 Parasite



Three days have passed since I am living in Reyana's house. It is saving me money and time, which is being invested into important things.

Like potion research.

I am crafting the potions faster than I had been in the first few days. As I had refined the method of creating these four potions, cut the unnecessary steps without looking at the efficiency.

Now, instead of taking forty minutes to make each batch. I am doing it from twenty-nine to thirty-one minutes.

I have reduced the nine minutes in the process, which is huge. Considering, now compared to others, I only need less than half time to create the potions. Even earlier, I had used less than others.

If I could use the song of Sar, I could reduce the time, but of course, I am not going to bring it out.

I was in the process when suddenly I sensed something from Reyana, who was busy crafting a potion.

Her aura, which had been stable for a few days, had dropped at an alarmingly fast speed.

I stopped what I was doing and moved toward Reyana, who seemed to be falling on the ground.

"Are you okay?" I asked her as I picked her up before she could fall. Only to see, she had fallen unconscious and getting pale rapidly.

"Mom!" shouted Vana, and ran toward her mother. "Do you know what happened to your mother?" I asked her.

"She is s..suffering from an illness before I was even born. It gives her a bout of weaknesses a few times a month." Replied the young girl, stammering.

"Has she fallen unconscious and suffered these symptoms?" I asked. "N...no, I have never seen her fall unconscious like this or pale," she replied while shaking visibly.

She is scared and who wouldn't be, seeing their parents in such a state?

"Don't worry, your mother will be fine," I said to the scared girl and immediately, a med bed appeared beside us at the girl's surprise. I levitated Reyana to the med bed.

As I put her on the bed, I waved my hand, and formations came out; they moved toward potions.

Those potions could explode. The formations will deal with them.

"Are you a healer?" asked a young girl. "Yes," I replied, while hundreds of strings came out of my hand and begin to pierce through the body of the Reyana.

"Please save my mommy," she said after a second of silence. "I will try," I replied, before focusing all on Reyana.

Hundreds of my strings pierced inside her, and a meta-scan begin to appear slowly. The more I look at the scan, the worse my expressions would become; her condition is far too worse than I imagined.

The treatment she uses had made it even worse, and I need to find out how.

Seconds passed, and my strings gathered around her core and the thing I saw made my expressions worse. She is in real danger of dying in a few minutes if I did not do anything to her.

There is a paradise around her core; it had swallowed her core and heart, and now sitting in the center of her energy network.

It is not all; it had infected her veins, spreading its tentacles to every part of her body.

I thought she had something nasty, but I was wrong. It is beyond nasty and now it is a preparation for the final stroke.

The paradise had been inside her body for years, spreading its tentacles all over and now. It had gone over control over it, and it want to harvest it, not just energies and vitality, but also the soul.

I said as my clone, finally found the parasite in the book and it is more dangerous than I had expected, but I as I read it. I found out some interesting things about it and one of them is that people breed it.

It produces an amazing resource, as I look clearly. I could see it.

I moved my gaze away from it and begin to read the methods to remove it. Thankfully, there are methods, but they are dangerous and most of them are beyond me.

They require specific resources, which would be hard to find even in a city. Even if I found the resources and the procedures, they are so complicated that only a minority of healers would be able to use them successfully.

I read through them all and finally found a method; I was searching. The method to stop it temporarily.

As for removing it, I couldn't do it without prior preparation.

Seeing she has barely a few minutes to live, I begin immediately.

Immediately, a couple of formations lit inside me and sent their energies into my strings. The value of the resources I am using to heal is more than what she had paid me.

I decided not to think about it considering the procedure is quite complicated and the parasite will resist with everything it had got.

My strings moved toward it, and it discovered them. I would have hidden them, but did not do that; it needs to discover them, to require things to open.

It sent the repelling waves of power, with withering energy, wanting to turn my strings into ashes. My strings are not so weak, to bear such attacks; they did and moved toward it slowly.

The attacks from the parasite got stronger and stronger; they even begin to harm Reyana, but despite this, I kept my string moving.

Finally, what I was waiting for happened. It moved a little, opening the connections. Seeing that, my strings moved and their speed is hundreds of times faster.

It immediately entered those open connections without giving the parasite a chance to close them and soon, they begin to meld into the runes and started to create the formation.

The paradise struggled to stop it, but it could do nothing.

Though it could have done many things, including bursting with the power that could kill me. That would require borrowing the power from the crystal, but it isn't willing to touch that crystal, which it had spent years creating.

The people who bred these parasites bred them for those crystals. They are immensely useful. People pay large money for them; it is also a truth that they are forbidden.

Those who use these parasites to create them suffer heavy punishments.

The world may seem lawless with those in power could do anything and they could, but even they have to follow the rules.

Though there are always some like those who break them in the lust for power. Like those who captured me to sacrifice to the forbidden entity.

Finally, I finished with the formation, and I activated it immediately.

'Reeeeee...'

The parasite let out a powerful magical attack.

Thankfully, I had been prepared and able to resist it, with some headache. It is also a good thing I employed defensive shields around Reyana, some of the attacks came out.

The young girl, who is still Primary-I, wouldn't have been able to survive the attack.

The attack finished and with it; the parasite begins to withdraw its power. It had stopped the harnessing, but only temporarily. Next time, it will come in full force, and even I won't be able to stop it, without sufficient preparation.
