I saw the spear and my expressions couldn't help but turn serious.

A few minutes passed, and we kept fighting when suddenly, a change occurred. The grey dissolution energy, which was covering the spear like a flame, turned dense as liquid and spread across the spear.

At the same time, the speed of the spear more than quadrupled.

I harnessed more power to deal with the coming attack. It might not look much; it is an extremely powerful attack.

I defended against it, felt a shock running through my arms and massive desolation, energy moving toward me. 80% of which had been absorbed by my sword, while the 20% hit me.

The formations become a little bright to the energies inside, before breaking it and refining it.

While I am mostly focused on the defense, I would launch an attack of my own, now and then. I am letting it think that it is him controlling the battle and all I could do is defend.

It is a nice strategy, this lets me access the enemies, without letting them suspect anything.

Seconds passed and his attacks got stronger at a much faster rate than before. I harnessed the power further and used it to defend.

I had even started to take a step back and shake, to let him know that his attacks were working. If I don't give him something, he will be too alert.
