Chapter 112: Chapter 112: RCT Lv5
The three Mother Boxes inside the pocket universe suddenly emitted a dazzling light, releasing solid, visible energy that spread along the runes of the barrier. This energy merged with that of the Eternal Flame and the Casket of Ancient Winters, forming a higher-level energy, which Alex absorbed.
With the continuous supply from the pocket universe, Unlimited Void expanded from Alex's center, rapidly spreading outward. In an instant, it enveloped Gotham, then all of the United States, and finally, most of the Earth!
The difference between the Level 4 Unlimited Void and the earlier Level 3 was a key new trait: as long as Alex had sufficient energy, the area of Unlimited Void could extend infinitely.
The only limitation on its range was the amount of energy in Alex's body and how much he could output!
At that moment, with the aid of the Unknown Wings: Platinum and the full-power operation of his Level 5 Energy Absorption, the area of Unlimited Void covered more than half the Earth!
This meant Alex's attacks could now bypass range limits—within the vast region he had covered, his strikes were guaranteed to hit their mark.
If Alex wanted, he could wipe out all life on Earth in a matter of seconds, or even destroy the planet entirely.
After blanketing most of the planet, Alex targeted the Parademons, pulling them into the Unlimited Void. He then lightly tapped the space in front of him, and instantly, all the Parademons were affected by his Vector Manipulation.
Their bodies became immobilized, as every vector within them began to malfunction and run chaotically.
Moments later, their flesh began to disintegrate, and as the broken pieces continued to crumble repeatedly, their bodies disappeared entirely, leaving nothing behind.
The entire world fell silent, stunned by what had just occurred. No one understood what had caused the Parademons to disintegrate into dust before vanishing.
Only those near Alex, and those watching the battlefield through live broadcasts, realized what had just happened: in a single moment, Traveler Batman had killed billions of Parademons!
Catwoman's mouth opened in awe, her face filled with astonishment. While she already knew how powerful Alex was, she hadn't expected this level of strength!
Unlike Catwoman, who could only see the immediate area, Superman's super vision allowed him to observe much more. He relayed to everyone what he had just witnessed:
"In an instant, Parademons across half the planet disintegrated into dust and blew away with the wind.
Traveler Batman just wiped out billions of Parademons, effectively halting their army's assault and pulling Earth back from the brink of destruction!"
Batman recalled what Traveler Batman had said earlier. Could those seemingly unbelievable stories be true?
Had Alex truly killed numerous Doomsday creatures, and used a powerful item known as the Infinity Stones to sacrifice half the universe and weaken himself just to defeat the Ultimate Doomsday?
Previously skeptical, Batman now found himself believing the story more and more. Alex had the power to destroy Earth if he wanted to. If he had once possessed even greater power and items like the Infinity Stones, it was entirely possible he had done what he claimed.
Because the Parademons had descended upon Gotham and spread out from there, Alex's attack had eliminated the vast majority of them. Only a few stragglers remained, and they were quickly destroyed by local government forces using various conventional weapons.
With the Parademons turning to dust, the internet exploded with new messages, and processors at major forums were working in overdrive.
"The Parademons around us just suddenly died for no reason!"
"Same thing happened here..."
"+1."
"You obviously didn't watch the live stream—Traveler Batman just wiped out almost all of the Parademons with some technique!"
"What? Is Traveler Batman really that strong?"
"Not only that, but those three Apokolips warriors who were crushing Superman, Batman, and the other superheroes? Traveler Batman killed them effortlessly when he arrived!"
"That's right! Compared to the other superheroes, Traveler Batman is on a whole different level. I wouldn't be surprised if he could single-handedly defeat every superhero on Earth!"
"No need to wonder—it's a fact!"
"I apologize for ever doubting Traveler Batman. As a hero who can travel the multiverse, his strength is beyond anything I could have imagined!"
"Same here. From now on, I'm Traveler Batman's number one fan. He's my hero!"
...
The online doubts about Traveler Batman vanished, replaced by legions of new fans, all of whom were saved by him.
Meanwhile, governments around the world began analyzing Traveler Batman's strength, only to come to the same conclusion: not even the other three demi gods could stand against him, let alone anyone else.
At that moment, everyone understood: while Batman, Catwoman, and Superman were considered "gods among humans," Traveler Batman had already transcended beyond that.
He was a true god.
...
On the battlefield, after hearing Superman's words, Steppenwolf scowled, glaring at Alex with venomous eyes. He was now certain that without using the Omega Beams or the Anti-Life Equation, even Darkseid couldn't stand a chance against Traveler Batman.
But then Steppenwolf smiled, regaining his confidence. No matter how strong Traveler Batman was, he wasn't invincible. Darkseid still had more powerful weapons, like the Omega Beams, at his disposal.
And with his regenerative powers, Steppenwolf had already healed most of his injuries. His smallest arm, which had suffered the least damage, had fully recovered. From his armor, he retrieved a small device, clenched it tightly, and hurled it at Alex.
The device activated, releasing a terrifying crimson energy—the Omega Beams, capable of erasing a being's existence at its very source!
Seeing that the Omega Beams had been unleashed and couldn't be stopped, Steppenwolf burst into wild laughter.
"Damn you! No matter how powerful you are, you'll die before the might of Lord Darkseid's Omega Beams.
Once you're dead, Apokolips will send an even more powerful army to conquer Earth. In the end, Earth will belong to the great Lord Darkseid!"
The other superheroes, drained from their earlier battles, hadn't noticed Steppenwolf's actions. Even Superman, having relaxed, failed to detect the Omega Beams until it was too late. By the time they realized what had happened, the Omega Beams were already hurtling toward Alex.
"No!"
Despite their faith in Alex's strength, Steppenwolf's confident taunts left Catwoman and the others anxious. Could it be true? Could Alex be killed by the Omega Beams?
Everyone threw their weapons in an attempt to intercept the Omega Beams, but they were too fast. Before anyone could react, the beams had already reached Alex.
All eyes were on him...
Unlike the others, Alex had already noticed Steppenwolf's sneaky actions through his Six Eyes, and had detected the powerful energy contained in the box within Steppenwolf's armor.
The energy was extremely high-level, only slightly weaker than the fully combined energy of the three Mother Boxes, comparable to that of the Infinity Stones!
Alex quickly recognized the power of the Omega Beams, an attack even stronger than Superman's heat vision.
The pattern quickly became clear to everyone: all those who had cursed Traveler Batman were now dead.
He had killed them.
Some who had been thinking of voicing similar complaints quickly clammed up. It was now obvious that Traveler Batman was not like other superheroes. He wasn't bound by any rules. His healing and restoration were gifts, not entitlements, and he wouldn't tolerate being insulted or disrespected.
Understanding this, the entire world fell silent.
Superman, aware of what had just happened, hesitated before saying to Alex:
"Traveler Batman, they..."
"They insulted me."
"But... death is too extreme a punishment..."
"They insulted me."
"We could have handled it differently..."
"They insulted me."
Superman opened his mouth to protest further, but Alex had already grown tired of the conversation.
"I helped them, and they spat in my face. That's betrayal, and unlike you, I'm no saint. Betrayal means death. If you disagree with my methods, treat me as a villain and come after me. If you think you can."
Superman fell silent, as did the rest of the heroes. Alex was simply too powerful for them to oppose. And besides, they couldn't deny that his contributions outweighed his actions. He had saved the Earth, and those he killed were no more than a few ungrateful scoundrels.
Alex paid Superman no further attention. He respected him, but that didn't mean he wanted to live like him.
If anything, Alex was more like Homelander.
He approached Catwoman, who looked at him with a mix of awe and reverence, standing alongside Mera and the others. Alex spoke calmly:
"Return to Themyscira for now. I'm going to visit Apokolips."
Batman, sensing what Alex meant, asked, "Why are you going to Apokolips?"
"I don't like them, especially Darkseid. I'm going to kill him and destroy the entire planet."
The superheroes stared in shock.
We just barely defeated the elite soldiers, and now you're going straight to the final boss? And you plan to destroy the whole level?
Batman tried to reason with Alex:
"It's too dangerous for you to go alone. According to Steppenwolf, Darkseid has powers even greater than the Omega Beams. We should come up with a more detailed plan."
But Alex simply looked at Batman with disdain.
"Batman, you're an embarrassment to the Batman Army. In the multiverse, every Batman—whether they stand for justice or evil—are beings of incredible power. Darkseid? He's nothing."
Batman fell silent. It was getting redundant.
Alex waved his hand, opening a portal before him. On the other side was a planet steeped in despair and fear: Apokolips.
A lone figure stood in the heart of the planet's capital, gazing at the portal that had just appeared, locking eyes with Alex.
With a final smirk, Alex stepped through the portal, leaving behind one last message:
"Wait for me. I'll be back soon."
Batman, Superman, and the others watched him go, left with nothing but the hope that Alex would emerge victorious.
...
Alex stepped out of the portal, hovering in the air over Apokolips. The planet's inhabitants immediately noticed his presence.
These slaves were beings kidnapped from other worlds, forced into hard labor. Most of them were known as "Lowlies," the lowest caste in Apokolips' brutal hierarchy. Their lives were filled with suffering, and their only release was death.
But despite their misery, they had been brainwashed to the point where they were utterly loyal to Darkseid.
As soon as Alex appeared, alarms sounded across the planet, signaling the arrival of an intruder.
The Lowlies spotted him and rushed forward without hesitation, hurling rocks and crude tools at him.
Their feeble weapons stopped in mid-air, unable to get within range of Alex.
Despite knowing they stood no chance, the Lowlies continued to attack with all their might—for their master, Lord Darkseid!
Alex looked down coldly at the Lowlies swarming beneath him. Most of them had been the weaklings of their home planets. The braver souls had been turned into Parademons, or slaughtered.
Watching them mindlessly attack him, Alex wondered whether they had fought this hard against Darkseid's forces when their worlds were invaded.
Or had they surrendered without a fight, only to be enslaved and brainwashed?
But Alex didn't care about their past. His only goal was to destroy Apokolips.
A powerful repulsive force radiated out from Alex, sweeping across the planet. The Lowlies were instantly vaporized, their bodies disintegrating into a fine mist.
After casually killing the Lowlies, Alex turned his attention to the endless swarm of parademons that had surrounded him and were constantly shooting at him with energy weapons.
Alex grinned, and the aura of his platinum wings shone even brighter. He made the preliminary seals and smiled:
[Unlimited Void]
