Su Ling also had the same thought. If she insisted, would he really…she shook her head.
To avoid having to deal with drunken chaos, Su Ling pulled him into the elevator and led him to her apartrment.
Her heart was uneasy, however. A drunk man and a woman who loves him…spending the night under the same roof. Would something happen?
As soon as he entered her house, he went into her room, and lay right on her bed.
Su Ling: "…"
This is not your house, okay? Can you not act so naturally?
"Ling, come here." He opened is arms wide as though waiting for her to hug him.
Su Ling pondered. Should she…go over?
Although her brain knew that she probably shouldn't, her body ignored her brain. She went over obediently.
In the end, she had been worried over nothing. Lu Shaoting only hugged her, kissed her forehead and fell asleep peacefully with her in his arms.
…
The next morning.
For the first time in many days, he felt like he was in a good mood when he woke up. That was the most peaceful sleep he had had in a while. But why did the bed feel unfamiliar today?
He was just about to get up when he felt something soft against his chest. He looked down to find his Su Ling! Did she come over when he was drunk last night?
Wait, something wasn't right. This room was much smaller and quite girlish… he was in her apartment! He couldn't have come over when he was drunk, right?
Well, he did remember doing such a thing.
"You're awake." Su Ling had woken up and left his arms while he was deep in thought.
His first reaction was to look at her with an apologetic expression. "Ling, I'm so sorry. I was drunk last night and…" he thought of something and jolted in alarm. He looked at himself and…where the heck was his shirt? "I didn't do something you didn't want, right?"
Su Ling felt embarrassed when she understood what he was asking. He was asking if he drunkenly forced himself on her. Well, he didn't need to. She could…
She shook her head to clear those dirty thoughts as well as answer his question. "Don't think too much. You took off your shirt and threw it away. Aside from that and forcefully sleeping in my bed, you didn't do anything."
As long as he didn't do anything against his morals, he was relieved even if he did some embarrassing things.
...
Since Su Ling was no good in the kitchen, he got up to cook breakfast.
Su Ling took a shower and when she looked for him, she saw him looking very serious in the kitchen…shirtless. She really wanted to hug his body.
Lu Shaoting saw from the corner of his eye that Su Ling was sneaking peeks at him like a fan girl in love. He did not expose her. Perhaps he had deliberately left the door open to display his firmly built back and chest to her.
The doorbell rang just as he was almost done cooking.
"I ordered some clothes. Help me pick the delivery." Lu Shaoting said without turning, which made Su Ling wonder how he knew that she was some distance behind him.
When she came back, she went straight into the kitchen and stood beside him. "Teach me how to cook."
Lu Shaoting saw the stars in her eyes and swallowed back down the "no" he was going to say.
In the past few weeks, he had learnt to cook and was now fairly good in the kitchen. It was all so that he could cook for her. Did she still need to learn?
However, it was the first thing she had ever asked of him as well as the first time in a long time that they had held a peaceful conversation. How could he let this chance go? "I will."
Su Ling was delighted. "As soon as I'm good enough, the first meal I cook will be for you. You don't know but eating out every day is so boring."
"Then how about I enroll you into a culinary class? I'm not a master myself."
"That would be too troublesome. If you are too busy then…"
"I'm not. I will teach you."
Aside from the fact that they were finally conversing peacefully, he seemed to remember something from the previous night.
She must have thought that he was asleep before she said, " Lu Shaoting, I don't hate you. I'm just scared that you would not want me anymore if you knew about my dirty past."
If he was not dreaming and she really said that, then it would explain why she was friendlier today- she had let out what bothered her the most, so she was feeling much better.
Meanwhile, he made a mental note about something.
…
That evening, Su Ling saw a beautiful middle aged woman in a chef attire standing outside her door when she arrived home.
She had to go back and check that she did not enter the wrong unit. She went back to the woman. "Excuse me ma'am, this is my apartment."
The woman shot Su Ling a snowy-toothed smile. "Are you Miss Su Ling?"
"Yes, do you need something?"
"Miss, please call me Mrs. Chai. I'm your new part time chef."
Su Ling was taken aback. Part time what?
"Ma'am, you must be in the wrong place. I didn't hire any chef."
"I was hired by Second Master Lu. Miss, what would you like to eat today?"
