Lu Shaoting saw that she was uneasy and changed the topic. "What do you want to eat? I'll cook. I can teach you in the process."

"Sure, I'll eat your specialty. " Su Ling did not reject it. She couldn't hesitate to do such a romantic thing with him. Even though he was not hers, she still selfishly wanted to spend some time with him.

In the kitchen, Su Ling washed radishes and chopped them as Lu Shaoting cooked sweet and sour pork.

At one point, he unceremoniously stood behind her and held her from behind. He loved nothing more than being able to hold her like this…he especially like her sweet scent.

What followed was a long spell of silence that made him wonder if it meant she had agreed to be with him.

"Uncle, is Shaoting home? I can't get through to his phone."

"Little Xue, please stay for a meal. Shaoting will be home soon."

On the huge dining table, it was always just Lu Tongyan and his second son. Now it was only the two of them with a few servants at the side ready to serve them.

When she came back, Lu Tongyan was secretly giving her curious looks.
