Chapter 267 - She is pregnant

Lu Tongyan knew he couldn't be wrong. Aside from Yan Xue's pale complexion, she couldn't stand strong smells and as they ate, he realized that she avoided all the oily foods. When he passed her some just for a test, she politely rejected it and said that she was not feeling too well today. She was acting just as his late wife did when she was pregnant with Aotian and Shaoting.

As her future father-in-law, it would be too awkward to simply as her such a question. He could only step out and call Lu Shaoting.

The man arrived within the shortest time he could. "Father, why did you call me? Is there something very urgent?" He was eating with Su Ling and was just about to kiss her when his father called. Obviously, he was in a foul mood.

Lu Tongyan was too cheerful to mind his annoyance. "Shaoting, come here. Little Xue is here."

Lu Shaoting's expression instantly turned bloodcurdling. "What the hell is that woman doing here?"

Lu Tongyan glared sharply at him. "Lu Shaoting, Don't be rude!"

Lu Shaoting was even more annoyed. His father had called him so urgently just for this? It had just been a few days. What had that woman done to win his father's favour?

Yan Xue saw that Lu Shaoting looked like he wanted to leave. She rushed up to him smiling like a pure innocent angel. "Shaoting! You're home. You should join us for dinner." She was completely acting like the host. It was as though she was the mistress of the house.

"Why are you here? Leave right now!" He was not sure what this woman had said to his Su Ling but knew that she was responsible for the latter's previous cold attitude towards him. He and Su Ling had just started getting closer. He couldn't allow this woman to ruin it.

Yan Xue did not leave and clung onto his arm instead. Lu Shaoting felt as though he had been touched by something extremely disgusting. He shoved her away violently.

Lu Tongyan felt his blood run ice cold. He held Yan Xue just before her body hit the table. "Shaoting! Don't be too violent! She could be pregnant!" before his brain could process it, he blurted out in fear.

Yan Xue smiled evilly. It was initially getting difficult to break the news but Lu Tongyan had just done it for her. As expected, men from the Lu family were very attentive. He had found this out quite fast.

Despite hearing the big news, she saw that Lu Shaoting did not have any change in expression. Grabbing the opportunity, she smiled at him. "Shaoting, I don't know how Uncle Lu found out but it's true. We are going to be parents soon. Anyway, that's not what I wanted to talk to you about." While she spoke, she rubbed her belly with an innocent smile. Lu Shaoting found her nauseating.

He was not about to bother with her; he had more important things to do. She probably wasn't pregnant. Even if she was, it had nothing to do with him. He turned on his heel.

"Shaoting, I only wanted to tell you that you should stay away from that woman"

Yan Xue's main priority was to sow discord between the Lu Family and Su Ling. Even if she and Lu Shaoting got together, neither Lu Tongyan nor Lu Aotian would allow her into the family.

"Shut up!" Lu Shaoting saw through her intentions and glared at her.

Yan Xue switched tactics to act wronged. "Shaoting, how can you be so fierce with me? It's just…I'm scared of that type of scheming woman. What if she seduces you away from me? How will I take care of our baby then?"

Her new tactic was commendable. Not only did she let Lu Tongyan think they were in a good relationship and that there was a third party trying to come between them, she also reminded him of her pregnancy. Old man, say something!

"Yan Xue, I'm saying it for the last time. Leave."

"Ridiculous!" Lu Tongyan didn't want to interfere with the young people's bickering but he couldn't stand it anymore. What was his son saying?

Hanging on her last straw, Yan Xue acted pitiful and wronged. "Uncle Lu, I don't know why Shaoting has been rude to me ever since finding out that I'm carrying his baby. He's been hanging out with that Su Ling. I don't hate her, she just…"

"What has your pregnancy got to do with me? Go look for your baby's father and stop bothering my family. Also, stay away from my woman."

"Shaoting!" the old man almost had a heart attack. What was wrong with his son today? He had got a woman pregnant and now he was denying it?

The cat was already out of the bag. He could only face it. "Father, I have said this before. No matter what happens, the only woman I will ever love is Su Ling. Even if she had a bad reputation, I wouldn't care. If you disowned me because of this, I would gladly accept it."

Lu Tongyan looked like he had seen a ghost. How could he bear to disown his son?

She opened it curiously and the content almost froze her to death. It was a pregnancy test report from North Hill Gynecological Hospital.

The patient's name was Yan Xue and she was two weeks pregnant!

It was huge news but it was none of her business. Why was it sent to her? Could it be…?
