Chapter 307 - She was disappointed

When Lu Aotian was done punishing anyone who had dared to bully his family using this incident and clearing out all backstabbers, he planned to take his wife and daughter out for fun on a weekend.

It had been a little long since they last went out for fun and Little Jia was pleased. She ran off to her room to find a cute outfit to wear. Compared to the first days after she was diagnosed with Leukemia, she was more cheerful. No one dared to talk about it anymore after Lu Aotian clarified the matter.

Wan Jia had continued training in the mornings and going about her work as usual. Aside from that, she would take tonics and supplements meant to make women more fertile.

Lin Lihua, that shameless elder sister, would drag her for shopping and when she wasn't looking, she would slip some embarrassing attires into her bought goods. Wan Jia really wanted to strangle her. With her and Lu Aotian's strong love and desire for each other, did they still need those types of attires?

Lu Aotian saw his read-faced wife as soon as he got downstairs. He didn't need to ask to know what kind of thing she must be thinking about.

She was just in good luck today because if Little Jia didn't appear at that moment, she would have been teased by him.

"Daddy," Little Jia hugged her father's leg. "If Aunty Lihua is free, can we bring her along? I miss her a lot. I miss Second Aunty too."

The second aunty she was talking about was of course Su Ling.

Lu Aotian wouldn't say no to her. "If your aunts are not busy, we can call them along."

Little Jia had another request. "Daddy, can second Uncle go too?"

"Of course."                                                                      

Wan Jia whispered in Lu Aotian's ear in a voice Little Jia couldn't hear. "Mr. Blanc hasn't gone back to Country F yet, right? If he isn't too busy…"

Lu Aotian understood his wife's intentions and pinched her cheek a little. "You should quit designing and become a matchmaker."

When he called Henry Blanc, the man had just booked a ticket back to Country F.

When Lu Aotian told him that they were going somewhere for fun, Henry Blanc almost laughed his butt off. "Since when does the mighty President Lu have time to go out with men? And for barbecue at that? Perhaps Designer Wan fed you something wrong for breakfast?"

"Lin Lihua is coming too."

"Huh? Where are you going? Of course I'm coming too!" at the mention of his idol, Henry Blanc's sarcasm was shoved down his stomach.

Lu Aotian used the opportunity to pin him down. "I won't tell you unless you apologize for what you said just now."

He had thought Henry Blanc would be reluctant but…"I was kidding just now, I'm sorry. President Lu, aren't we considered friends? Surely you won't take everything to heart, will you?"

Lu Aotian was speechless. Although fans could admire their idols to the point of obsession, was this really just admiration? He was acting like a little teenager falling in love for the first time!

Just like that, the trio outing turned into a group barbecue.

When Henry Blanc arrived, he parked his car where the others had parked theirs. He glanced at the gift boxes on his back seat. All those were shoes for Lin Lihua. He had painstakingly convinced his younger sister to design them for his idol. He even had to accompany her for a week of shopping before she agreed. Then he had to get her shoe size from Wan Jia.

Sighing, he got out with a bracelet. He would simply give it as a fan. If she rejected it, at least it wouldn't look too outstanding.

When Lin Lihua saw Henry Blanc, she was obviously stunned. Was this guy not just Lu Aotian's distant friend? What was he doing in what looked like a family outing?

She wasn't wrong. Aside from Henry Blanc, everyone else could be considered family.

The man didn't seem to have anyone else in his eyes. With his charming smile, he greeted Lin Lihua first.

"Movie Queen Lihua, fate made us meet again. Please accept my little gift; I'm your greatest fan."

As an actress, Lin Lihua couldn't reject gifts from her fans. She accepted it with a smile, but the man still held onto it. It was getting awkward.

Aside from Little Jia, everyone else knew what he was waiting for. He wanted to personally put the bracelet on his idol's wrist. Of course Lin Lihua knew that too; she was just acting dumb.

Henry Blanc was starting to feel embarrassed when Lu Aotian came to his rescue. "Do the rest of us not exist?"

He smiled, put the bracelet in Lin Lihua's palm and proceeded to greet everyone else.

Little Jia was looking at Henry Blanc curiously.  Hadn't she seen this man on her birthday? He came with a pretty  girl older than herself. She remembered her precisely because of her brown curly hair.

Henry Blanc smiled at her. "Katy misses you every day. Do you want to give her a video call later?"

Little Jia's expression turned warmer at the thought of talking to one of her new friends. "So you are really Katy's daddy!"

"I am."

At the side, something flashed in Lin Lihua's eyes. He was a father? Why then was he acting overly close to her? For some reason, she was disappointed.
