Lu Shaoting was surprised too. "You have a daughter? Here I was dreaming of marrying before you even get a girlfriend but not only are you married, you have a daughter too?"
Henry Blanc laughed at Lu Shaoting's antics. "You are not even thirty, yet you want to fight with your seniors over who marries first?"
Everyone laughed at Lu Shaoting.
The man held his Su Ling's waist and ignored them. So what if I'm not thirty? You are so cocky but just like my brother; you are only a little over thirty. I'm already twenty-eight, okay? The Joke is on you, Henry Blanc, your idol thinks you're married, haha!
True enough, Lin Lihua wasn't in a good mood anymore. She only played with Little Jia and ignored Henry Blanc who was trying so hard to strike a conversation with her. He looked like an obsessed fan girl trying to get close to the idol she was madly in love with. The scene was quite comical.
When Lin Lihua stepped aside to answer a phone call, Lu Shaoting pushed him in her direction. "What are you waiting for? Go talk to her!"
Wan Jia and Su Ling cheered him on too. As for Little Jia who was currently on her father's lap, she was wondering, why are they pushing Katy's Daddy towards Aunty Lihua? The adults sure were hard to understand. If only Tangtang was here to save her from these weird adults!
…
After being cheered on by his future sister-in-law and her in-laws, Henry Blanc was invigorated. He waited for Lin Lihua to finish her phone call and confidently walked up to her.
Queens like Lin Lihua would of cause gauge a man's aura and charisma. He wouldn't let his queen see how nervous he actually was.
"Mr. Blanc?"
Henry Blanc was slightly saddened by the formal form of address but he kept his smile. "Ma chérie, I forgot to ask for an autograph." He told her some nonsense he had just come up with.
Damn you Lu Shaoting! How could he just push him off so casually? He didn't know what to say to her! How embarrassing…
Lin Lihua raised an eyebrow. You came to find me in private just for this? And what in the world was "ma chérie ?" Knowing that he would probably lie to her, she didn't ask. It's not like she hadn't watched French movies before.
She looked at both his empty hands. "I'm supposed to sign it on air?"
"What?" he was busy looking at her and didn't understand what she was talking about.
"The autograph."
Only then did he have to rub his head. He had just come up with that an excuse. He hadn't prepared anything. Once again, he cursed Lu Shaoting in his heart.
Some distance away, Lu Shaoting was sneezing from the furious curses.
"A-cho!"
"Who in the world is cursing me? Just how much does that person hate me?"
Wan Jia jabbed him. "Forget about the curses. The main point here is whether or not I will become an aunt soon."
Su Ling patted her shoulder. "It won't take too long. As long as they start dating, you will already be Katy's aunt."
Wan Jia still didn't look too excited. "That's Mr. Blanc's niece. I want an actual niece, one from my sister and Mr. Blanc."
"The Katy they were talking about is not his daughter?" Su Ling was surprised.
"No, he has never been married before. Katy is Amy Blanc's (designer CX) daughter. Since they all live together, Katy calls Mr. Blanc her father. He has never corrected her, however. He is after all the only thing close to a father that Katy has."
"Oh…so that's how it is." She had seen that outstanding little girl on Little Jia's birthday. She was really curious to know her mother; the little girl was quite pretty.
Lu Aotian was left speechless at how well his wife knew Henry Blanc. He didn't find it strange. His wife was such a great fan of CX and her designs, especially since knowing that her brother was Lu Aotian's friend. It wouldn't be too surprising if she knew the name of Katy's biological father.
…
While the others gossiped about them, Lin Lihua and Henry Blanc stood facing each other. The man though hard. How would he explain coming for an autograph without anything to sign on?
He was really tempted to say; actually you can sign it on my body. It's all yours to sign wherever you want. Should I perhaps take my shirt off?
Lin Lihua stared at the man whose gaze almost made her blush. What was he thinking about? From his gaze, it had to be something corrupt. Men!
Henry Blanc snapped out of his daze and took out his wallet. Luckily he was a diehard fan who had a small photo of her in his wallet. He took the photo out carefully. Lin Lihua took it with shock on her face. Wasn't this photo taken on her thirtieth birthday?
She remembered it precisely because she was wearing the first dress Wan Jia ever made for her. Was this man really a fan? He acted more like a stalker.
She took out a pen from her purse and signed on the photo. No matter how weird her fans were, she had to tolerate them as long as they didn't go overboard.
However, the fan before her was not any ordinary fan. He was just about to go overboard.
