Chapter 449 - They weaved a trap so he could fall into it

News of General Yun's arrest spread like a wild fire. It was even worse that according to rumors, he was arrested for many crimes, including murder. 

When Yun Jifeng heard of it, he gritted his teeth. Those Lus! So all this while, they were tricking him? They weaved a trap so he could fall into it? 

He was so mad at himself that he could spew blood out of his ears. 

Angry, he booked the earliest flight to Country F.  He would think about the Lus later. Of course, he would also deal with that little traitor with the name Yun Xuan. 

There was absolutely no way Lu Aotian would get hold of that thing without Yun Xuan's help.

The file contained all the dirt on Yun Jifeng's men, the very thing he used to coerce them into loyalty. She used the information to make them collaborate with her and the Lus and only pretend to have kidnapped Wan Jia. Later, she returned it sans Yun Jifeng's knowledge. 

The man was still seething in rage and wondering what to do to make her pay for betraying the Yun family and siding with the enemy.

Whatever, he would deal with her later. 

Right now, he had to pay a visit to Amy Blanc. 

That was right. He was going to visit her in jail.

Initially, it was not going to be possible to do so due to the nature of her crime. But he made sure that he was able to see her and was given ten minutes to speak to her. 

"Arnold?" Amy was pleasantly surprised when she saw him. She had not expected him to make an effort to visit her. 

"I'm sorry my love, it was very hard to get here so I came only now."

"Arnold, I knew you would come. If you didn't, I would think you have found another woman and dumped me." Her eyes were almost tearing up.

Yun Jifeng hid the guilt blazing in his heart. "You silly thing, how would I ever bear to lose you?" 

Amy's heart filled with hope. At least there was someone who cared about her. 

"Amy, I'll get you out of here." He said. 

Amy Blanc should have been happy to hear that, but she wasn't. "It's not going to be that easy, after all I'm guilty. Besides, my brother wants me to pay for my mistake. He will not let me get away. Even if I pleaded not guilty, my brother might have sufficient evidence against me." 

"Your brother would produce evidence to get you into prison?" 

Amy sighed. "That's Henry for you." Her eyes teared up slightly. "Actually, I deserve it. I broke my promise and...sigh, forget it." She had only done it for him. If anyone were to ask her, she only regretted hurting all those children, but she did not regret breaking her promise for love. 

Obviously, she could only think of this because she did not know the amount of scorn that was in Yun Jifeng's heart for her. 

Were all women so naïve? Not only was Wan Jia that way in the past, Amy Blanc was so stupid too? Just how were their brains wired?

Amy Blanc's heart was moved by his concern for her daughter. "Katy is fine. My brother and parents are taking care of her temporarily." 

Yun Jifeng looked regretful. "It would have been better if we got along sooner. I would love to meet her." 

Amy Blanc knew this too. But Henry Blanc wouldn't let any man meet Katy. His precondition was that they had to be actually married first. But she couldn't tell him this, especially since Henry Blanc had expressed his dislike towards Arnold Wen. 

"Sir, your time is over." Yun Jifeng was reminded. 

He looked at Amy Blanc one last time. "Honey, wait for me. I'll come back tomorrow and get you out of this place." 

Amy Blanc nodded. 

As Yun Jifeng left, his mouth twitched. How lonely. You just had to show her a little love and she was head over heels for you. Didn't she notice that she was inside there because of him?
