Chapter 450 - I still love you

Amy Blanc was sure in the wrong, and she was outrightly a little fool who didn't ever use her brain.

But, she was still his only sister and he loved her endlessly. This had never changed. He would not let anyone take advantage of her. Especially not a wanted criminal of that bastard Yun Jifeng's variety.

And why in the world was Lu Aotian still keeping that idiot unarrested? Lu Shaoting had mentioned letting Yun Jifeng defend his father in court before he got arrested himself but he did not understand everything about it, so he pushed it at the back of his mind. 

With an unpleasant expression, he went ahead to see his sister. No one knew how he was allowed to see her so readily, but it was better to not ask. 

Not shockingly at all, Amy Blanc was not too happy about his presence. "Why are you here?" 

He wanted her to be jailed. How was he still willing to see her? 

"I thought a certain someone would miss her elder brother." Henry Blanc said plainly. 

"I..." Actually she did. But what was the use? Her brother no longer doted on her. 

"Why was Yun Jifeng here?" 

Amy Blanc was stunned. How did he find out?

"Let me guess. He promised to get you out pf jere?" 

"Who are you talking about?" She feigned ignorance. 

"Yun Jifeng." As soon as he finished saying the syllables, he saw the look of confusion in her eyes, one that seemed.to ask who in the world that was. "Oh, right. You think his name is Arnold Wen." 

He did not give her a chance to react before he continued, "I told you that he is a wanted criminal, didn't I? Since you don't think your elder brother is trustworthy anymore, why don't you test him yourself? As him about his real identity tomorrow. I'm telling you, he will insist that his only identity is Arnold Wen. 

By the way, he sought you because he has come to a dead end. His father has been arrested." 

"What's that got to do with me?" She rolled her eyes. 

Henry Blanc couldn't believe he was saying this about another man. "Isn't it obvious that he needs money? With money comes the ability to grease his way out." 

He meant to say, Amy Blanc might have thought that no one knew but he did. That man had been shamelessly exorting money out of her. He had long realized how extravagantly she had been spending money in the past months. When he learnt that she had been dating Yun Jifeng, it all made sense. It was no surprise that he had the ability to do things that he couldn't have done before. 

One more thing Yun Jifeng needed from Amy Blanc was a bomb. "Lu Aotian stole the other bomb from him. He wants to break you out so you can make another one for him." 

Amy Blanc looked aside. "I knew that man hates me so much. He stole it so it can be evidence against me, right?" 

Henry Blanc really wanted to knock her head so much that there would be a brain in it. "Are you stupid? Yun Jifeng(your fake Arnold Wen) kept it so he can use it against you when he wants to discard you. Lu Aotian took it so he wouldn't have that ability. He also took the other vital thing that could make you be mistaken as the orchestrator behind all his crimes." 

Amy Blanc took a whole minute to process that statement. "Lu Aotian wanted to help me?" The main point was, Arnold Wen wanted to make her a scapegoat? How could he...

Henry Blanc answered the question she had asked. "Actually, Lu Aotian might seem unfriendly or even scary, but he in fact possesses a kind heart. As long as you apologize to all those families and tell everything you know about that man, he will not make things difficult for you." Lu Aotian hated the fact that Amy Blanc did those things, but he did not wish for her to be punished for crimes that she did not commit. She would be shocked if she found out that he had in fact told Henry Blanc to temper with Amy Blanc's bank account so there wouldn't be records of her transfering those huge sums of money to Yun Jifeng. Of course, Amy Blanc didn't understand this for now.

Her lashes drooped in disappointment. Not making things difficult for her didn't mean he would let her off. However, this was already good enough. 

"Amy, I didn't have you arrested because I hate you. On the contrary, it's because I love you. I don't want you to spend the rest of your life with a guilty conscience and constantly on the run. Do you know, that kind of life could easily drive you to suicide and make me lose my only sister. ...I found you the best lawyer. You were basically used so your sentence may not exceed five years." 

Her tears could no longer be stopped when she heard that part. She had been stupid. So selfish that she didn't realize just how much her brother loved her. He sent her to jail, but it was only because he did not want her to spend all her life in guilt, and now he was finding her the best lawyer so her sentence could be shortened? 

"Brother, I'm sorry." 

"Silly girl..."

Was there such a thing as apology between siblings? Actually, from the moment she realized that she had made a mistake, she was already forgiven in his heart. Which brother wouldn't forgive his younger  sister? However, just so she wouldn't make the same mistakes again, she still had to be punished appropriately.
