Chapter 550 - Little Angel Li, I'm sorry

Wan Jia did not work in HL Entertainment. However, Lin Lihua was her elder sister. She could easily ask Lin Lihua to not let him see her daughter. Considering her mood four days ago when she went to his mansion, the possibility of that hapening was rather high. 

He sighed. Well, he wouldn't know if he didn't try.

At the entrance, no one denied him entry. His status as the founder and CEO of Xu Corporation was useful at last.

"CEO Lin, the CEO of Xu Corporation is here to see you." Lin Lihua's secretary reported.

Lin Lihua swung her chair and stood up. "I'll go to see him." I would like to see just how gutsy that man is to play with people's hearts and still want to look for them. What did he take Lu Meili for, a joke?

Xu Tang became nervous when he saw Lin Lihua. The only way for him to get into the building was through Lin Lihua. Now that she came, for some reason he felt as though his hope had already been shattered. Xixi was right. he shouldn't have treated Lu Meili that way. It was very difficult to even speak to her.

"You are here to see Meili, aren't you? Why do you want to see her?" Lin Lihua didn't bother greeting him. If her niece was going to end up more heartbroken, she may as well not see this man again. She had seen many young women give up their dreams, fall into depression or even worse, commit suicide, because of men. She couldn't let her niece suffer such a fate.

Xu Tang knew from her tone that she wouldn't let him in so easily. "Aunty, it's complicated. Can I have a word with her?"

Lin Lihua looked at the hopeful young man. "That's not difficult. However, you should think carefully. Both you and I know that if you rekindle your friendship with her, she might think that it's because you like her. . If you are not going to be responsible for a woman, you better not give her false hope. I suggest you keep your distance.

Xu Tang was aware of this. "Thanks for the suggestion but no, thank you. I only want to apologize to her. I shouldn't have done what I did."

Lin Lihua found it funny. Why were youngsters so naïve? When would this young man realize that he didn't just care about Lu Meili's feelings? He loved her so much that it was visible in his eyes as he admitted his faults. Was he so blind to his own heart?

On second thought, Lin Lihua knew that she didn't have the right to criticize anyone for being blind to their feelings. Her own marriage was falling apart under her watch. She was probably the only woman who loved her husband but still wanted to divorce him because of a child's recklessness.

"Whatever. Meili is in Dance Studio 2 on the tenth floor."

Xu Tang didn't understand Lin Lihua's sudden change of mind. All that mattered was that he was able to see Meili again.

Lin Lihua watched him leave. If such a loving relationship was broken because of a minor mistake, you could as well say that evil triumphed over good.

As for her own marriage, forget about it. That one was filled with too much darkness.

The second dance studio on the tenth floor.

Lu Meili glanced at her phone angrily.

"Why didn't he call again?"

"Right, I blocked him."

"But any normal man's first reaction should be to use another phone to call, right?"

"Hmph! Whatever. Why would I care? It's not like I still love him."

She resumed her dance.

"Why do you keep your blindfold on when dancing?" She heard a voice interrupt her.

She hurriedly ripped off the blindfold. "Xu Tang, what are you doing here?"

Most importantly, why did she not feel him come in? She must have been too engrossed into her dance. It was proof of her progress.

Xu Tang walked up to her. "You shouldn't just listen to the music. You should feel it with your heart. When you want to make a new move, imagine yourself doing it before you actually do it. That spin just now…"

Lu Meili glared at him. "Why are you telling me? Who asked you?"

Xu Tang changed the song. "I remember a certain someone asked me to teach her to dance. I'm only performing the role I was assigned."

He took her small hand. "Little angel Li, I'm sorry. I was too rude that day."

Lu Meili pulled her hand back and crossed her arms over her chest. "A certain someone said that my presence made it impossible to be with their girlfriend."

Xu Tang pulled his ears. "That someone learnt his lesson. No matter who I like, no one will be as important as the people closest to me. Meili, you are not just my childhood playmate. You are the person closest to me and I care about you the most."

Lu Meili watched him pull his ears in apology like they would do when they were kids.

"Little angel Li, will you forgive me?"

Pfft. Who are you calling 'Little angel'? You are obviously the little angel. If the employees of Xu Corporation saw how adorable their CEO looked right now, they would drop their mouths to the floor.

"Hey! Stop pulling your ears so hard. They will become as long as a rabbit's. I really want to whip out my phone and take photos of the great CEO Xu acting childish."

Hearing her joke around, he knew that she was probably not mad at him anymore.

"Little angel Li, do you forgive…"

Lu Meili shut him up with a finger over his mouth. "If you stop saying misleading things, I will forgive you."

Xu Tang let go of his ears. They hurt from being pulled so hard. "I promise. I will no longer say misleading things."
