Chapter 573 - Endless love

She took a glance at the expressionless Henry Blanc and took her own car keys. Perhaps he didn't want to see her right now, let alone give her a ride to work. 

"Come here." Henry Blanc suddenly said. 

She looked around to make sure he was really speaking to her before she went ahead nervously. It was time for her punishment? 

In the next moment, Henry Blanc's hand approached. 

She closed her eyes tightly awaiting the slap or punch, or whatever was coming her way. 

She didn't expect that it would be... him patting her head? He even did it the exact same way he would do when she was just a little girl clinging onto him to get his attention.  He looked so loving. 

"Katy, even if I found fault in you, it wouldn't reverse what has already happened. And, if I denounced you just because someone took advantage of your foolishness to make the fault befall you, Amy would be unhappy in heaven.

Most importantly, our family has been broken for too long. It's time to piece it together. Souring our relationships with each other will only make it worse than it is." 

Katy heaved a sigh in relief. "You forgive me? I thought you would hate me and not want me anymore." 

"How can I hate my own little girl?" 

She flung herself into his arms. "Daddy..." 

"Good girl. Don't cry, you will ruin your make up." 

With the disbelieving Katy in his passenger seat, Henry Blanc drove to Le Blanc Group. 

However, he left her handle the matters at the company while he went to HL Entertainment. He had some matters to seek clarification about.

HL Entertainment. 

It had been quite long since he last set foot here. It felt quite unfamiliar. 

"CEO, Mr. Blanc is here." Her assistant reported. 

Lin Lihua wasn't expecting him so early. "Let him in." 

As soon as he was in, she didn't know what to say to him. She looked at him awkwardly. "Why are you here?" 

"I'm not welcome?" 

"I wasn't expecting you." 

"I know. I came to get the divorce papers." 

Lin Lihua was shocked. He came to get what? 

But she didn't want him to sign them anymore. Actually, she could bear to live with Katy under the same roof. She didn't mind it as much as she used to. As long as Katy didn't create any trouble, she wouldn't be mad either. 

Last night when he asked about the divorce papers, she had said that they were in her office.

She didn't expect him to really come and get them here. 

Besides, hadn't they talked about this already?

With a slightly trembling hand, she opened a drawer and took them out. 

As soon as Henry Blanc got what he had come for, he didn't leave but instead, went for the shredder. 

Before Lin Lihua could process what he was doing, all of them were in shreds. 

"You...?" 

Henry Blanc gave a satisfied grin. "I should have done this five months ago. If you get new ones from the court, I will shred them as well. I'm idle enough to do that. At most, your office will be filled with shredded paper." 

"I will not get new ones." She said after some time. "It would be such a waste of my time if you will only use them to overwork my shredder." 

For the first time in a long time, that charming smile reappeared on Henry Blanc's face. "That's the most ridiculous excuse I've heard in my life. Just admit you don't want to divorce me anymore." With his wife's pride, it was good enough that she bothered to speak to him.

Meanwhile in Lu Enterprises, Wan Jia watched the videos that Lin Lihua had uploaded. 

"Ruoxi will not be let off. By accusing my sister of such a thing, she has gone too far." 

Lu Aotian looked at her, wondering whether she thought her sister was a saint or she was just naïve. Of course Lin Lihua did it. However, he wouldn't say a word against her because he knew that she was not one to do such a huge thing without an appropriate reason. "Whatever will be done to that girl, she totally deserves it." 

"I just think it's a pity. If my sister had adopted a nicer child, she would have no regret in life but now..." perhaps it was too late for Lin Lihua to ever have a child. 

But logically she still had one, right? Katy Blanc was still her legal daughter. 

"Let's not mind other people's business. We have something to deal with ourselves." 

Wan Jia snapped back to her own world. "That's right. Does this new series of rings 'endless love' have to be launched in Spring?" 

"It's the best timing." 

Lu Enterprises was launching a series of engagement and wedding rings that had already gained fame even before the world saw the actual product. However, it was troublesome to find the perfect pair of models to endorse them. 

Lu Aotian didn't just want to publish pictures of them. He wanted to make it real. 

Wan Jia looked at the best pair with obvious astonishment in her eyes. How pretty. "Why not ask Little Li for this favor? She's an actress. This will be just like any other endorsement she chan do." 

"She is so beautiful that finding a male model who wouldn't be overshadowed by her is a hard task. But that's the least of our concerns.

Would she agree to do anything related to Lu Enterprises?" 

"I can convince her." She rubbed her chin. "Otherwise, is it not strange to spend so much time looking for suitable models when your own daughter is getting engaged soon? Why don't you use this opportunity?

Not only will you achieve the effect you want, it will also make her wedding gain more attention. Our Little Li has always wanted a grand wedding. That will help her a little, don't you think?"
