Chapter 603 - We are not bearing a basketball team!

The next day, Yun Xuan carried floor pillows and arranged them at a corner in the study room, where she could see easily. 

She also brought some of Yun Feng's favorite toys. 

When she was done arranging his little zone, she fed and bathed him before placing the boy on the carpeted floor and starting to do her work. 

The best thing about Yun Feng was that although he was rather unfriendly and naughty, he could be quite calm at times.

As long as he was well fed, had his toys and could see his mother in his vicinity, he wouldn't cause too much trouble. 

As though by reflex, he sat down, playing with a tiny robot as he let his mother work. 

She would check on him each time she took a short break and play with him for a few minutes.

He only cried after a long time.. 

Yun Xuan got up and scooped him in her arms. "Who knew you could be such a good boy, huh?" 

The little boy looked up at her pitifully, sucking his tiny thumb.

So he was crying because he was hungry.

Yun Xuan brought a milk bottle she had already prepared and placed it against his mouth. 

When he had drank to his fill, he yawned and fell asleep against his mother's chest. 

Yun Xuan stood up and went to the nursery, tucking him in into the cradle. 

"Being a single mother isn't that hard after all." She smiled. What had she been so scared of in the past? She had thought it would be impossible. But wasn't she doing it just right?

The following day, Yun Xuan had made up her mind to inform the Lin family that their son's health was much better and he would be awake soon. If they chose to ignore the news and take it as none of their business, her hands would be clean. 

While at it, she also wanted to drop by the Lin residence and check on Xia Rou. 

Lin Lihua had received a piece of news about her and rushed home. She hadn't said a word about it since then. 

After bathing her son and changing him into low-key clothes, she wore a simple dress herself and darpped a scarf on to cover her face slightly. 

Luckily, her son didn't take after his father. It wouldn't be fatal even if he bumped into that man. However for her, he would recognize her whether in her former or current appearance. It would be much safer to disguise herself. 

"Ma-!" 

The boy in her arms must have wondered just what it was that his mother was trying to do with that weird piece of clothing covering her face. But he wouldn't understand it even if she explained so he might as well just stare at it.

In the Lin residence. 

"Mom, don't you know to take care of your own health? You scared me." Lin Lihua admonished. 

The previous day, Xia Rou had suddenly fainted. It was one of the most frightening things that Lin Lihua could ever hear of. 

However, the woman was currently sipping on the herbal soup Lin Lihua had prepared as though nothing had happened. "If you worry so much about me, you should have kids sooner. My grandchildren will take good care of me and I won't have to take care of my own health anymore." 

Lin Lihua slapped her forehead. "Don't you have four grandchildren already? Little Wan and I are not trying to bear a basketball team, okay?" 

"But I want more. What should I do?"

"I will bring Katy and Ruoxi over to play with you. I will also ask Little Wan to bring over Little Jia and Xian Li. How about that?" 

"Little Wan is very busy. Don't bother her about such trivial matters." 

Lin Lihua raised her eyebrows, she had just discovered the cause of Xia Rou's sudden fainting. "Little Wan has to take care of Lin Ye's matters, and she is also still nursing so you have been overworking, right?" 

Xia Rou looked guilty. "Lihua, what are you saying? I know my limits." 

Lin Lihua was even sadder. "But you still went beyond them. You are forbidden from going to work for the next one month. Stay at home and focus on your health." 

"But what about MAX Brand? They still need me." 

"I will have a word with Little Wan. We will figure out a way to handle all this." Lin Lihua had a mashup of complicated feelings. 

Things had taken such a turn at the wrong time. 

Her sister was busy with her brand and her baby while she was busy with her new entertainment agency as well as helping her husband settle down. Le Blanc Group was such a huge company. It would obviously take a while for its headquarters to stabilize in another country. 

As for his family, they were better off forgotten.

At this moment, the servants announced Yun Xuan's arrival. 

"Eh? You brought my little sweetie along." Lin Lihua excitedly stood up to pinch the little boy's cheeks. 

However in the next moment, she retracted her hand as those blue eyes shot a glare at her like a pair of icy daggers.

"I forgot he doesn't like me." 

Of course, a baby's glare couldn't be that scary. It was just too fierce for a child his age. 

"Did I offend this little devil in my previous lifetime?" Lin Lihua held onto her broken heart.

Xia Rou had just finished drinking her soup. "Scram. How dare you call my little Feng a devil?" 

As soon as he heard Xia Rou's familiar voice, the boy's eyes lit up and he flashed a smile, revealing a mouth of empty gum with only two tiny white teeth in the vicinity. 

In the next moment, he tried to jump off his mother's embrace. 

Yun Xuan had expected such a move and held him tightly. He would be too excited whenever he saw Xia Rou.

She put him down carefully, making sure he didn't hurt Xia Rou who was probably still sick.
