Chapter 410: Outsider is an Outsider.

Everyone gathered in the living room as Cheng Zixing prepared tea and some snacks for everyone. They would have moved to the dining room since it’s already getting late for dinner.

Seeing Han Liang getting all grumpy, Grandmother Han and Xu Nuan couldn’t help but laugh at his reaction. He sure gives some colorful reactions that makes them want to tease him even more.

While Xu Nuan and Han Liang were bickering nonstop, Cheng Zixing who just came back from the kitchen, after instructing the servants to keep the dinner table ready so that they don’t need to wait later for anything and can straight move to the dining room for dinner, joined everyone in the living room.

She sat on the single couch on the side and said, ” Luo Dan, why are you not eating anything? I prepared all of these snacks just for you. Have some.” Cheng Zixing said as she pushed the food tray in front of Xu Nuan to Luo Dan’s side.

Luo Dan glanced at Xu Nuan and smiled politely before taking a cookie from the snacks that were displayed in front of her.

Cheng Zixing made herself comfortable on the couch as she added, “I agree with Han Liang. Mother, how can you join hands with outsiders and make fun of your own grandson? How upset must he be because of this?” She supported him.

” Since you treat him like this, others also think that they can say anything to him. That’s not right.”

After her words, a long silence followed in the room. The joyous laughter and whining of Han Liang suddenly came to a halt and everyone stared at Cheng Zixing with uncomfortable, awkward expressions.

Han Liang, who was also whining a moment ago, pursed his lips and said, ” Aunty, It’s fine. I wasn’t upset about it. Also, we were all joking. I also tease Xu Nuan, so there is no need for anyone to get upset about it.” He laughed as he said this.

Han Liang glanced at Xu Nuan who was strangely quiet. Although he was sitting between everyone else, his eyes were wandering around, looking for Han Zihao who went outside to take a call. ‘Why did he have to go and take a call at a time like this? I am scared!!’ He screamed internally.

Grandmother Han who was silent all this while, finally spoke up, ” Is that so? Cheng Zixing, do you think you’re superior to me in this household?” She asked coldly, causing the temperature to fall in the room to the minus.

Cheng Zixing pursed her lips and shook her head awkwardly, ” Mother, what are you saying? How can I be higher than you? I cannot dare to think like that.”

” But I think you do. Otherwise, why would you say that you won’t let ‘anyone’ look down on Han Liang, when I am the one who does this all the time? Are you saying that you will go against me to support him? Huh?” Her expressions were cold and her deep voice was enough for Cheng Zixing to shut up.

Whenever Xu Nuan and Han Zihao come over for dinner or join a family gathering, she doesn’t leave a chance to ruin the happy moment.

She used to think of her as a well-cultured, nice woman who was supporting his son and has finally accepted her as her eldest daughter-in-law. However, her attitude towards Xu Nuan makes her think of her as otherwise.
