Chapter 250 250: Recovering The Farm

Rezen is aware that the only reason why he reaches the peak of apprentice rank easily was because of the mysterious peaches and bananas

It enabled him to improve swiftly but now that he doesn't have access to them, his progress will slow down by a huge degree

Still, Rezen has no intention of giving up. What he lacks for talent, he would make up using other means!

As he finally reached the Junior Rank, Rezen was filled with glee. This is the real step to becoming a genuine mage. The mages at the Junior Rank are considered formal mages unlike the apprentices that have to rely on the help of Resonance Gems

After his advancement, Rezen raised his hand and as he willed it, a fire appeared on top of his palm. The fire's existence didn't last long and this time, Rezen condensed water before freezing it

He tried to use different elements and found that whether it be fire, water, ice, earth, nature, lightning, darkness, and other attributes, he could control them at will

Of course, just because he could control them doesn't mean that he is talented at them. The ones he has the highest affinity with are the thirteen types of magic that correspond to the Mystic Gems that his farm has

He really has some mystical connection with his farm!

It didn't take that long before the outside of Rezen's hut was flooded with his tribesmen. They sensed his advancement since the free mana in the atmosphere moved in a rather unusual manner

Not to mention, some of the tribesmen were present when the likes of the Chief, Stone Head, and the other Junior Mages of the tribe reached that rank

All of the tribesmen excluding Yvter congratulated Rezen sincerely. Even the Chief has become warmer to him because of the things he did for the tribe. And now, Rezen don't fear anyone in this tribe anymore even if they were to know more of his secrets

After all, now that he is already a Junior Mage, even if he cannot win against the Chief and Stone Head, he is not at their mercy anymore. At the very least, he should be able to flee

After Rezen dealt with the tribesman and their congratulatory words with some even giving him slabs of meat, he is finally alone at his hut again

After making sure that he was alone, Rezen retrieved a seemingly ordinary wooden bottle. This is one of the bottles that contain the Holy Sun Water, particularly the one with 6th cycle quality

"Ivy, absorb one drop of the Holy Sun Water to repair the farm" Rezen ordered

The Holy Sun Water is a precious and rare treasure of heaven and earth. The pure energy it contains could definitely repair the farm that is now 50% repaired

While his Mystic Gems triggered and absorbed the blessing of mana, the farm itself has not fully recovered yet and was still unusable

What is a better way to celebrate Rezen's advancement to the Junior Rank if not the recovery of his farm?

Rezen uncapped the bottle and a drop of yellow liquid floated before entering Rezen's elixir field

He closed his eyes and his consciousness entered his elixir field where his mana, soul, and the farm that shrunk are stored. The farm is currently the size of a coin but that is only on the outside as the space inside was way bigger as if some kind of space magic was used on it

The ground of Rezen's farm still has many cracks though not as many as when he just entered this realm. Still, the farm still looks dry as if some wretched creature wreaked havoc on it

However, that soon changes the moment that the drop of Holy Sun Water bursts into a fog that seeps into every corner of the farm

The power of the sun seemingly descended on the land and healed the farm. The cracks vanished and the soil was filled with vitality

The Sun Holy Water is really a great treasure of heaven and earth as the energy contained in that single drop was more than enough to heal the farm and the excess energy was absorbed by the Sun-type Mystic Gem

Once again, Rezen senses his affinity for the element of the Sun increasing. Currently, it was the sun element that he has the most affinity with

"Congratulations to Master for finally recovering the farm but because of the intact laws of the Savage Beast Realm, the farm wouldn't function like before anymore"

"Things such as the recovery pills, mysterious peaches, and mysterious bananas are not easily attainable anymore unless there were special circumstances"

The earth realm has broken laws and that gave the farm the ability to 'bypass' the laws and provide Rezen with broken cheats

Think of the earth realm as a city with broken walls. The city still has walls but some areas of the walls have holes that invaders could utilize. In this analogy, the farm is the invader

With the help of the holes in the walls, the farm could provide support to Rezen in miraculous ways

However, Rezen is now in a 'city' with sturdy walls. While the farm could still provide him with cheats by using the regular roads, 'contraband' and 'illegal' items couldn't be given to him easily anymore

Rezen used this time to familiarize himself with the new and nerfed version of the farm and he slowly learned what the current farm could do

Firstly, just like Ivy said earlier, the broken cheats in the form of recovery pills, mysterious bananas, and peaches can't be given to him as easily as before. However, there were still some ways to receive them or more like receive something similar

Secondly, Rezen's farm cannot create seeds out of thin air. In the past, he can buy seeds from the shop using mana stones and that is impossible now though the plants he grows on the farm this time have seeds and he could use those seeds to plant Spirit Plants. This is how things usually work in the real world

Thirdly, while the farm still has the ability to grow Spirit Plants at a fast speed, it was not as broken as before anymore. In the past, Rezen could plant anything he wishes whenever he wants no matter the quantity or quality but he now has to mind the energy consumption of the farm. If the farm doesn't have enough energy then it couldn't function normally

This made Rezen recall the law of energy conservation. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed

The farm needs energy to grow Spirit Plants, it could not create energy on its own. Rezen either has to provide the farm with energy sources or let it recover naturally

Just like how mages automatically absorb mana in their surroundings to recover their mana or consume mana potions that itself contain mana, Ivy is the same

"Well, now that I think of it, creating seeds out of nowhere and the other broken abilities of the farm before, those things seem to be at the level of a God. If the farm has god-like abilities when in a realm that it could bypass the laws with, in this realm, the farm was reduced to the level of a high-ranking mortal" Rezen mused, he himself doesn't know why he has such thoughts

While the nerfing of the farm is bad, it's not like Rezen doesn't have an edge compared to others

Firstly, if it was Spirit Plants at the 1st cycle then at the very least, if Rezen wants to make mana potions 24/7, he would have enough materials

Aside from that, as Rezen advanced in rank or he let the farm absorb more treasures of heaven and earth, the farm's ability will steadily grow. The farm would not stay in this state forever

"Then, should I start planting?" Rezen said with a smile and he retrieved the seeds he and the other tribesmen collected

For now, he plans on planting the ingredients necessary to create mana elixirs

If a mana recovery potion allows the consumer to recover their mana, mana elixirs on the other hand would increase the amount of mana a mage has upon consumption

Mana level could be increased through meditation and drawing the free mana on the atmosphere to the elixir field. However, that is a slow and painstaking process. A mage's growth would be stunted if they merely rely on meditation

That is why mana elixir is invented. It was faster to increase mana using the elixir but of course, one couldn't just consume them whenever they want to

There is the issue of accumulating impurities but it would also make the mage's mana unstable

At the end of the day, a mage still has to regularly meditate to slowly but steadily advance but with enough and the right resources, a week's worth of progress could be achieved in just a single day!

Just like the mana recovery potion, the mana elixir's main ingredient was still the vismian grass along with another Spirit Plant that is the leaf of the Hedil Plant

The secondary ingredients are still the same while the concoction difficulty rose significantly
