Chapter 79: The Village's Savior

Yue Yan placed the beast cores in front of the table, and said, "Hurry before I change my mind."

"Yes... Yes... A second." Chang Lou spread his hand and a big bag appeared on the table from his spatial storage ring.

He continued, "It has one thousand and one hundred gold coins. Please accept the additional one hundred gold coins as my apologies."

The shopkeeper wanted to save his business so the man decided to keep the trio happy by giving them bonus money for being generous as he was well educated in the subject of bootlicking.

"Okay," Yue Yan responded with a cold face, sweeping his hand on the table as the big bag vanished into his inventory.

He turned around and left the shop along with the Shangguan Sisters who were giving him perplexed look.

The shopkeeper sighed in relief as the two beauties and the demonic boy left his shop. He prayed to god they would never visit him again otherwise they might demand a similar price the next time they sell the beast cores to him.

Yue Yan, Ling'er, and Bing'er left the market, but the girls were confused all the way as they wanted to ask him why he did it.

After they were away from the bustling streets, Yue Yan stopped and turned around to face them.

"Why did you let go of that cheater? We could have complained about him to the academy." Ling'er asked with questioning eyes.

"If you didn't know that he is swindling us, you may have sold the beast cores for forty gold coins happily but now that you know he was being dishonest, you are mad at him?

He paid us five times more than the price of the beast cores and this money would help you to buy enough food for the villagers. And we can not forget that he was only doing his business, it's normal to negotiate however he wants. It's up to him how much he wants to buy or sell the goods we offer.

Moreover, we took his help to aid the villagers so he also contributed to a good deed, so you should forgive him.

In the end, you get to learn your lessons and that's what is important." Yue Yan said in a stiff voice and convinced the two beauties that the merchant acted normally.

Ling'er didn't say anything as she heard hear his fair logic, she understood it was also her fault that she was able to get fooled by him, not knowing the price.

"Where do you guys wanna go next?" Yue Yan asked as he saw it was already late in the night and they were in the city.

"Let's buy ration from the merchant and ask them to send it to the village," Ling'er said.

"Okay, let's go." Yue Yan responded.

They went to a big shop and paid the merchant one thousand gold coins for different foods and instructed them to send them to the silver moon village before tomorrow night.

The merchant happily agreed, receiving the money and knowing they were from the Tianhai academy.

After Ling'er and company were done, they left the city and continued their journey toward the silver moon village.

Unlike before, they avoided the wild beast and galloped straight for their destination riding the golden lion.

Yue Yan, Ling'er, and Bing'er returned to the Silver Moon village at midnight.

"It's me." Dong Jusaid, guessed the reason.

A young man, in his mid-twenties, came out of the carriage and said, "Please check these goods before we can unload them."

This person was the staff in charge of delivering these rations to the silver moon village.

Dong Ju became delighted as he stepped forward to check the things inside.

He stood in front of the first carriage, took a deep breath, and approached the first box that was kept on it.

He opened it slowly, revealing bags of rice and flour inside. He checked the quality of the grains and found them to be fresh and of good quality.

Moving on to the next carriage, he found bottles of oil and packets of salt. He opened a few bottles of oil and smelled the contents, checking for any signs of spoilage.

He was satisfied with the quality of the oil and salt, and he nodded and his assistant continued unloading the rest of the boxes.

As the Village head's son worked, the villagers had gathered around the carriage, observing intently. They were eagerly watching the ration, taking a peek as they knew it was for them.

When Dong Ju reached the ninth carriage, he counted the boxes carefully, making sure that nothing he missed.

As he was done, the young man commanded to the coaches, "Unload these by one, hurry."

Nine coaches came out of the carriages and started placing the food containers in front of the warehouse carefully as they were asked by the staff.

Villagers were beaming with joy as they saw a lot of boxes filled with food for their families. This much ration was going to help them not worry about food for a half year.

Dong Ju turned to the young man and decided to show his gratitude for their effort.

"Thank you for bringing these rations to us. They will be a great help to the people of this village. Can I ask who sent these here?" He politely said to the young man who was in charge of delivering the goods to them and asked his query that was bothering him.

Tianhai Academy was not supposed to send it before the mission ended so he decided to ask.

The staff said, "We have been sent here to deliver Shangguan Ling'er's bought goods to the Warehouse in charge of Dong Ju."

"Shangguan Ling'er?" Dong Ju spoke in a Flabbergasted voice, turning around to look at the Crimson-haired beauty who was standing not far from them on their left side.

Wang Min and their team, along with all the villagers started looking at the trio, giving them different looks.

The trio could feel the villagers' gazes which were filled with respect and gratitude and Wang Min and his teams were staring at Yue Yan and his team as if they were some type of criminal.
