Chapter 58 - A Poor First Impression

After finishing up the procedures for a new employee, Xie Jingyu took Yu Huiyin with him to the top floor, where his office was located.

Here, his private secretary was also located, and Assistant Song's desk was also placed here outside his own office.

But the moment he arrived, his voice boomed throughout the silent work atmosphere.

"Someone, bring a desk and a chair, a computer, as well as all the stationery items an assistant needs into my office."

He did not care at all that this made them all puzzled. The many office workers on the top floor turned to look at Xie Jingyu, only to see that an extremely attractive woman was walking closely by his side.

They quickly added two and two together, but while they were shocked, they were also very professional, not showing any emotions on their faces as they started moving one of the empty desks and setups into the CEO's office.

After ten minutes, everything had been prepared, and Xie Jingyu led Yu Huiyun into his office. By now, Yu Huiyin was feeling immensely nervous and slightly uncomfortable.

Although no one in the office had said anything to her, she could sense the keen interest they all had in her.

Yu Huiyin sat down behind the desk that had been moved into the office and wondered what she was about to do now.

Xie Jingyu could see her looking at everything on the table with curiosity, and his heart softened slightly. She was so motivated to work, how could he not fall for her?

Xie Jingyu sat down behind his desk as well. He thought for a moment before pressing the intercom, "Send in some files that need sorting, preferably the accounts for our newest investment."

The head secretary, who had accepted the task, was slightly surprised. These papers were usually not being dealt with by Xie Jingyu himself, so why would he want to see the doc.u.ments from the newest investment?

This was such a small and simple task; it was usually given to their interns to understand how work was done within the company. Could it be, he was doing this for that unknown woman?

The Head Secretary dared not make any assumptions, and she personally went to the department that had the doc.u.ments she needed, fetched them, and went to Xie Jingyu's office.

Here, she was about to place the papers on his desk, when he raised his head from the contract he had been reading, "Give it to Huiyin. She needs to familiarize herself with taking care of the accounting for a new company."

The new investment they had taken over was a company that had initially sent them a sales pitch. Xie Jingyu had given them a full twelve million yuan in investment, but he had also taken a full sixty-eight percent of the shares.

The original owners of the company had been unwilling at first, but knowing that they had no other way to make the company flourish, they eventually agreed. In the end, they still had thirty-two percent of the shares split between them, and that was enough to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

This company, that Xie Jingyu had told Yu Huiyin to look at, was a computer software developing company. It was now a daughter company to his Xie Corporation, and he was going to ensure that it brought back the investment and that it would increase in value throughout the years.

But because it was so new, the accounting was also rather easy to manage. Xie Jingyu had thus given the task to Yu Huiyin, in an attempt to help prepare her for when she had to do accounting for the Falling Stars Gaming Company.

Of course, they would have an accountant who would deal with their accounting, but it would be impossible to understand with no prior experience.

Yu Huiyin had not understood his underlying intentions, but she was very excited as she saw the Head Secretary hand the papers to her.

The Head Secretary, on the other hand, was somewhat baffled. It was clear that this woman had come to work at their company through the back door.

It was even more apparent that she had something to do with Xie Jingyu, that they had some sort of relationship with one another.

But if she was his lover, was there really a reason for her to actually work? She could just be a beautiful flower standing in the office, making Xie Jingyu feel pleased whenever he saw her. Did she have to actually take part in the work, when she had no previous experience and no educational background?

At the same time, the Head Secretary dared not make any guesses as to this woman's relationship with Xie Jingyu, nor did she dare to belittle her.

The Head Secretary was immensely professional. Although she was shocked, she quickly understood that Yu Huiyin was not someone she should cross. That she was, without a doubt, much more important than what she seemed.

It was not everyone in the company who was as sensible as the Head Secretary.

Each department in the Company Office had its own WeChat groups, where they could talk with one another, plan office events, and gossip about their work life.

Now, every single WeChat group was bustling with life, as they were discussing Yu Huiyin's sudden arrival.

Many were disgusted with her. She had taken the backdoor to enter the company, yet she still wasn't the least bit ashamed of it. Even the men were somewhat dissatisfied, and they did not usually participate in any of the dramas.

Many unsavory rumors began spreading all over the WeChat groups, and almost everyone seemed to have a very poor impression on Yu Huiyin.
