Chapter 113 Skin
cock-a-doodle-doo The noise of a chicken's call for the morning echoed out loudly as the sleeping people of Han Li's household. Namely Yue Li and Li Yao, woke up.
Irritatedly clenching her pillows, Li Yao screamed: "That thing is so! So irritating!"
She had been attempting to fall asleep for a while, but it just won't stop its fucking SCREAMS! Thi/s chapter is updated by nov(e)(l)biin.co/m
JUST STOP!
Calming down, she rose from her bed and found she was alone. Rubbing her eyes, she looked around wryly. As usual, she was late.
...
Han Li and Liyue were in the backyard, and it was already fully clean of the blood and very well maintained again. They had buried the dead chicken and didn't eat it, sadly so. But Han Li was fine letting her keep her own moral codes.
Everybody was not him, and not everyone had to see chickens as merely food. They could see them as innocent creatures that they had killed for the first time.
But, of course, he was also a teacher. He taught Liyue the deep hypocrisy in the mere act.
To eat chickens that others had killed till today and not eat one when she was the one who killed it? Quite the human act.
Liyue was embarrassed and rather disconcerted but still nodded. Yes, she was someone who was welcome to growth and change.
As for the chicken that was making the noise?
Han Li looked at the one remaining chicken that he hadn't murdered.
It was jumping around the backyard and then clucking relentlessly. But it casually ate away all the worms around—that was good, at least. He had the urge to murder it already, though. Not because he was feeling murderous, but the occasional glance that Liyue looked at it with didn't seem right.
She seemed rather protective of the little shit. Having a benevolence in her gaze.
'I should get rid of it when I get the chance,' he thought. But then shook his head.
"Liyue, how do you feel?" he asked.
Liyue stretched and said with a sigh. "After digging that grave and bathing, I do feel refreshed. But kinda also feel like I don't want to work."
Han Li ruffled her hair and said, "Don't worry about it too much. It is just a chicken. They die all the time."
Liyue looked at him with a weird glance and nodded.
Han Li saw it and coughed lightly while Yue Li and Li Yao got out and began brushing.
"It is already shining skies. You guys really are early," Han Li said with a lot of sarcasm, patting Liyue's shoulder. "Look at her. She didn't even get to sleep yesterday."
Li Yao and Yue Li were stunned and looked up at them from their languid positions. Han Li smiled.
"You better let me suck it again today or I won't forgive you at all!"
Han Li shook his head. He had rarely ever let her do that after the previous time he lost to her, and every time his resistance to that increased; her skill in doing it did alongside.
This woman's talent in pleasing her son was no joke. No wonder he was obsessed with her.
It was the beginning time of the 11th Month. Autumn was in full swing. The bright light of the autumn sun streamed in through the windows and shone on Han Li's face, making it seem as if he was on fire.
"Mom, I am about to show you something amazing. Look with wide eyes and do not miss any detail, it is quite a profound event."
Yue Li was curious now and she looked at his face.
Han Li gently let her go and she was then told to stay a bit further away, which she did.
It was the beginning time of the 11th Month. Autumn was in full swing. The bright light of the autumn sun streamed in through the windows and shone on Han Li's face, making it seem as if he was on fire.
She looked at him with even more curiosity as Han Li closed his eyes.
It had been more than two months since the day the West Abundant Wind passed by. Today, finally, he had enough crystals to complete his Skin Transformation.
Inside his Empty Space, the shining red star-like crystals moved towards his god-like Dao Soul and melded into its skin. Outside, the faint hymn of a bell seemed to emanate from his body, and Yue Li focused her ears to listen, but it vanished as easily as it appeared.
Han Li's crimson gaze slowly opened themselves, and his body started to quake. The beds trembled slightly while he himself seemed to be trembling with immense power.
Slowly, all of Han Li's skin transformed into a pure bronze color—filled with a dangerous but vigorous aura. Yue Li was stunned as his gem-like clear gaze focused on her. In the middle of his forehead, a small, almost unclear red mole appeared, and his skin seemed to sizzle in electricity for a while.
The room grew hot.
Han Li released his breath.
"The skin of the Lust Demon, now it belongs to me," He said calmly as he looked around. His skin itself was breathing now, allowing more Energy of the world to enter his Empty Space more rapidly.
If he could have absorbed 5 Crystals passively every week till now, he could now gain at least 7 to 8 every week. But that was just minor stuff.
What was important was his skin. It was the perfect skin. The type of skin Transformation type cultivators had. The type that no normal attack could hurt.
His eyes grew calm, and he looked at his hands.
It was slightly vibrating.
It was the power of slight vibrations.
His skin could vibrate whenever he wished to. It was a very strong power, even if it didn't seem so at first. Even though it was far worse than the bodily changes that Transformation-type cultivators had, like the whole bone body stuff the Bone Boy had and the sharp feathers that Kevin Raven used to have, it was still useful when added with weapons or used well.
A trembling sword could cut deeper.
He forgot about that and turned on his [Life Vision].
This was not the limit of the skin's prowess, he knew.
