When Ryan Whitemane's headaches ceased, a mental clarity reigned in his body. With a simple glance toward the duel, he could see different quick possibilities of futures that could happen. But it was clear to him that the Ettrian elf would win that confrontation.

Running towards the elf, the warrior threw several punches that took the elf out of his comfort zone. Having to run away with quick steps while using his staff to fire off quick Light attacks.

When Ettrian managed to maintain a distance of at least ten meters, with one very quick movement, he pulled out the book that was at his waist and channeled a simple attack. He concentrated all the remaining mana and energy he possessed and fired a single light punch towards Max's chin.

With a snap of his fingers, the sound of black iron armor echoed through the arena, he had fallen to the ground completely knocked out with the impact of the attack.

Amidst the crowd, Alice and Ryan were holding each other's hands. The blonde remained quite worried about her lover, but he seemed a bit more relaxed than before. 

'That duel was amazing' she said, as she watched from afar Max's body being loaded onto a stretcher.

'I think it would be a bit arrogant to say I wasn't surprised'

"Were you able to learn anything from that battle?" he questioned, as he let go of the girl's hand and began to pet her head.

Alice closed both eyes, as if she hadn't been expecting this, and then eased herself up and straightened her own posture. "A little, they both looked pretty tired. That battle was too explosive."

Ryan nodded, agreeing with her "It's okay to expend all your strength at once, but that's only ideal when there's a significant power difference." le turned to the battle and pointed at Ettrian, "As much as it may not appear so, this battle was pretty level. Neither of them had enough strength to completely overwhelm their opponent."

The blonde's eyes were shining with what she was hearing, even with her ordinary neutral face, Alice was visibly grateful and happy with the teaching. 

"You know quite a bit about battle theory, it's been a few months since I've been able to evolve."

'It must be tricky for her to be compared to a family of prodigies'

The girl shook her head in denial, "Today we received some books transferred by the guild, most of them look like simple documents. But they are all tales or stories from the second world."

"So they camouflaged the information with textbooks, this must be a war strategy" said Nyx, who appeared in front of everyone in her physical form.

Livia and Alice were startled by the sudden presence of the girl, who appeared walking from Ryan's back. 

With one hand on his chin and doubts in his head, he said "I'll meet you in a few minutes in the library. Nyx get my backpack ready, Alice let the rest of the girls know I'll be busy tonight."

The three nodded, and each went their separate ways. Livia hurried back to one of the moving platforms, while Alice returned to the arena to talk to Lyza and Ellen who were watching the duels. Nyx disappeared in seconds, flying at top speed toward the apartment.

Alone in the middle of the arena lobby plaza, Ryan opened his system to check the quest information.

Frozen in the middle of that crowd of people, Ryan remained static watching the message he had received. A white window with blue borders had appeared in front of his eyes, the text glowing in an intense golden color.

Before he could understand what was happening, another notification appeared again.

And then another notification.

'So you two are the ones I found'

Staring at the two windows, Ryan repeated what he had said earlier. 

'I accept both paths'

Closing his system, Ryan walked towards the library to meet Olivia. But before he could get too far away from the arena, a voice came up behind him shouting for his name.

"Ryan!" It was Laila's voice, running toward him.

Turning around, he was visibly uncomfortable. 

"You must be tired from the duel, but I saw how you accomplished what I had asked. Here is your reward" the girl held out her hand, and Ryan accepted the gift. It was a pocket watch, made of iron and with a white stone in the center. 

"What is it?" Ryan said, bringing the item close to his eyes. Laila gave a smile, and moved closer to him, placing her breasts close to his arm, she pointed to the stone in the center of that device.

"It is a magic watch, it has some pre-set functions. If you carry it around your neck, you can use it as a protective amulet." 

Ryan nodded and thanked her for the gift. "Thanks Laila, it will be quite useful for me"

The girl was a little embarrassed, and nodding, she ran back to the arena. "It's elven technology, so take good care of it!"

"Elven technology... Interesting" he thought, as he looked at the item.

<Are you sure you're going to ignore what those two goddesses are talking about?>

Nyx had appeared beside Ryan, in her spirit form. The succubus was floating upside down, her white hair falling downwards.

'I really don't care.' he thought, as he pulled the girl by her hair.
