Chapter 45.2 - About The Days When Your Spouse Isn't Home 3 Part 2

“Hey there, President Han,” Xie Chen Min came over with a white plastic bag and said, “I heard you broke your foot so I rushed here to celebrate it a little.”

The corgi who caught whiff of the scent from the bag, disregarded his fear of strangers and went up to Xie Chen Min while wagging his tail.

Han Shi Yu only greeted him on WeChat, not expecting Xie Chen Min to reply immediately with ‘I’m almost at your doorstep’.

The corner of Han Shi Yu’s mouth twitched, “Don’t tell me you flew all the way here just to laugh at my misery…”

“You’re not that important,” Xie Chen Min placed the scented plastic bag on the table while the little corgi stared with a longing gaze. He said, “It’s your Brother Lin’s birthday tomorrow.”

Those words made Han Shi Yu’s movements stilled a little.

Then, he lowered his head and rubbed the tip of his nose before carefully choosing his words, “Ah…Oh.”

Xie Chen Min opened the white plastic bag as if nothing had happened as the rich, barbeque fragrance instantly spilled out. He said, “I bought it along the way. There’s some lamb legs as well.” He patted Han Shi Yu’s calf a few times and laughed, “Gotta eat the same parts to heal.”

Han Shi Yu stole a glance at Xie Chen Min’s expression. When he saw that there wasn’t any change in it, he felt reassured and laughed a few times too.

Xie Chen Min asked the same question as Zhou Yi, so the conversation was led in the same direction.

The two men who both had “daughters” fell into deep thought.

Xie Chen Min frowned, “You must have a fever.”

Han Shi Yu: “It’s a hunch. I think it’s possible.”

“Aren’t your intuition always like Schrödinger’s?” Xie Chen Min said without a care, “Xiao Ye is actually a really gentle, sentimental and rational girl. I’m not worried about her at all.”

Xie Chen Min firmly added, “How could she possibly start dating early.”

Han Shi Yu gestured around anxiously as he said, “It’s one thing if she doesn’t flirt with others, but aren’t you afraid that others will take the initiative to win her over?”

This was probably the biggest dilemma that every father with a daughter faced.

Xie Chen Min leaned back tactically and said, “Tsk…that’s a problem indeed.”

“So…if you were to encounter this kind of…how would you go about…understanding this situation?”

Xie Chen Min raised his head and met Han Shi Yu’s “inquisitive” and expectant gaze. Then, he slowly looked over to his injured foot.

Xie Chen Min said seriously, “Stalk her.”

Han Shi Yu: “.”

There was only one person left from the F4.

Liu Mu said from the other side of the phone, “Old Han, you’re calling me just for this? It’s not like I’m a childcare phone line. I have something else to do, so I’m hanging up…”

""

Han Shi Yu: “Qu Di’s self-produced movie participation offer.”

Liu Mu: “President Han, feel free to speak your mind.”

Han Shi Yu was obviously desperate for any help, “You’re often dressed in women’s clothes, so you should understand this better. How should I deal with my daughter’s early romance?”

“?” Liu Mu said, “What’s the logical relation between your first and second sentence?”

Liu Mu on the other side of the phone ‘hmm’ for a while, lit up a cigarette as the two of them ruminated over this for a long time.

“You can’t just conclude that she’s attracted to dating someone just from these little details…You should talk to her face to face. If it’s unsuitable or difficult, then ask auntie to help you out. As to what to say…” Liu Mu’s tone was really lazy and it didn’t match how cautious his analysis was. He said, “I think you should talk to someone with experience. Like Brother Min. His opinions would definitely be more informative than mine.”

“I did,” Han Shi Yu said, “He suggested that I stalk her.”

Liu Mu, “…Pretend I never said that.”

Yang Han, who was battling a war in the exams hall, could never have imagined that –

There would be a day where the president of Ji Xun Technology Company, Yue Xin Network Technology company’s president, well-known author and founder of a famous studio as well as the popular influencer and game streamer with millions of followers…A combination of people who had an insane amount of online hype and traffic….

Would be having a serious conversation over her adolescence.

And that they didn’t come close to any conclusion either.

Alan came to visit Yang Mo during break time. Yang Mo was already used to it and was able to continue typing away on his keyword without changing his expression in the midst of his enquiries.

This day, Alan finally couldn’t help but admit the purpose of his daily visits to Yang Mo, “Why is it that, for so many days I’ve visited you, I have not seen Mr. Han call you or send a single text message to you?”

Yang Mo’s fingers hung in mid-air.

Alan trailed off, “I really wanted to see how you act with your husband.” He continued, “It took me an evening to accept the fact that you’re in fact, a cold, little Stepford1 wife.”

Yang Mo: “…….”

The corners of his mouth twitched, “I’m not.”

Alan waved his hand and said, “Why else wouldn’t he be calling you then? If you were a little more passionate, he’d probably be dying to talk to you on the phone every day.”

Yang Mo remembered the big dog who had his head hung low when he sent him to the airport, who finally managed to work up the courage to say to Yang Mo before he left, “Mo, I’ll call you every day.”

However, that was all shattered by Yang Mo’s angry, sulky ‘no’.

Alan raised an eyebrow, seemingly thought of something and said, “It can’t be that he’s the little Stepford wife instead? The type that needs to be coaxed into obediently doing you? It can’t be, it can’t be. You’re into this type?”

Yang Mo: “Get lost.”
