Chapter 46.2 - About The Days When Your Spouse Isn't Home 4 Part 2

Yang Mo let out a sigh and checked the date, confirming that only a week had passed.

He thought that he must not be working hard enough to still have time to spare to think about this and that. He put his phone down on the bedside table and prepared to go to bed.

At this time, his phone rang.

Yang Mo froze, hesitated for a moment before turning around to pick his phone up.

It was indeed the ‘stray dog from the management school’.

Yang Mo’s finger hovered on top of the screen for a long time until he turned on the lights in his room and answered the call.

As soon as the call got through, a dog’s head appeared on the other end.

It was a real dog’s head.

The little corgi Gu Gu was used like a tool. One hand held him in front of the camera as he sniffed at the screen of the tablet.

Instead of showing his face, Han Shi Yu reached out with his other hand and tapped on the other phone lying on the table.

Then, a machine male voice rang out, “The little ge ge over there, have you fallen asleep yet?”

Yang Mo: “.”

""

Gu Gu still did not understand the current situation and tilted his head towards Yang Mo on the tablet screen. His two black eyes were full of doubts while the background machine voice was it seemed like it was him speaking.

Gu Gu ‘said’, “I’ve been watching over Han Shi Yu for you. He has really been reflecting on it for the past week. I’ll say it three times, he’s really reflected on it, he’s really reflected on it.”

“I don’t know if you missed him, but he definitely missed you quite a bit.”

“If you looked up and couldn’t find any stars in the sky, it’s because his longing was too deep, to the point where it touched the stars so much that they all fell down.”

It was a cloudy day in the city where Yang Mo was.

“You can see how evident his sincerity is, even the heavens can testify…”

Gu Gu’s body squirmed a little. He looked up at Han Shi Yu in confusion before his master pushed his head back into place.

Gu Gu continued to ‘say’, “So he asked me to ask if you’re still angry at him.”

The machine voice sounded both funny but also stiff, so much that Yang Mo couldn’t help but turn the corners of his mouth upwards. But he forced it back down and said, “Han Shi Yu, you’re too childish.”

Han Shi Yu did not say anything. He continued to hold onto Gu Gu with one hand while he dragged the playback bar back a little as the voice repeated: “So he asked me to ask if you’re still angry at him.”

It wasn’t a big deal in the first place. Yang Mo wasn’t really angry at him at all either, but he simply couldn’t let go of his pride and wanted to sulk a bit.

Yang Mo had no choice but to said, “No.”

Han Shi Yu still did not show his face. He dragged the playback bar back a little again as the machine voice repeated: “I don’t know if you missed him, but he definitely missed you quite a bit.”

Yang Mo: “……”

He said, “No.”

Gu Gu perked up his ears and looked at Yang Mo with his head tilted.

The playback bar was dragged backwards again: ““I don’t know if you missed him…”

Yang Mo: “No.”

Han Shi Yu dragged the playback bar backwards again.

“Enough,” Yang Mo placed a hand on his forehead, ultimately couldn’t hold his laughter back as he said, “I did miss you.”

Yang Han finished her final exams and entered the first summer vacation of her high school life.

Han Shi Yu’s foot had almost healed completely, so he said goodbye to his mother and Gu Gu before returning to live with his family. Yang Han noticed that Han Shi Yu had resumed his routine of giving Yang Mo a call every day.

And so she popped her head into one of their video calls and asked, “Dad! You two made up.”

Han Shi Yu pushed her head out of the way and said, “Tsk, since when did we fought.”

Yang Han pointed at Han Shi Yu and complained to Yang Mo, “Dad, this person stayed up all night to play games and watched TV while being surrounded by snacks. He even made me…”

Han Shi Yu hurriedly covered her mouth.

Yang Han was really looking forward to this summer vacation. Although Yang Mo wasn’t around, but to her delight, she was going to have a pet dog of her own.

She asked Xu Jia and Liu Zuo Ye to join her. On the way to the rescue shelter, Yang Han appeared to be enveloped in sunshine as she hummed a song.

Han Shi Yu was very concerned over her interactions with Liu Zuo Ye and would glance at them through the rear-view mirror every now and then.

This stray animal rescue station was contacted by Lu You Qi. He had some rare free time today and accompanied them along. While he sat in the passenger seat, he listened to the chattering of the children at the back.

Lu You Qi asked, “How much longer till Yang Mo is back?”

Han Shi Yu put his hand on the steering wheel and said, “Another month to go.”

Lu You Qi leaned back and felt the light breeze from the outside through the car window. He smiled, “Sigh, sometimes I do envy you quite a bit.”

Han Shi Yu: “I also think I’m quite enviable.”

“…..” Lu You Qi said, “You sure aren’t courteous at all.”

“To have won over Yang Mo, it’s something I have to brag about for the rest of my life.” Han Shi Yu laughed, “I don’t want to keep a low profile.”

Lu You Qi raised his eyebrows and said, “You’ve made a name for yourselves now. Even though you two hid it so well during university, that I never found out.”

Han Shi Yu said, “We didn’t hide it. It’s your problem, ge.”

The three people in the back were chatting feverishly about something, so Han Shi Yu and Lu You Qi’s conversation was ignored.

There was a string of wooden bells hanging in the car that would sway along with the car. Lu You Qi caught sight of it and noticed the names of five members of Yang Han’s family carved crookedly on it.

It was the handwriting of a child.

Lu You Qi more or less guessed it, “Did Yang Han write this when she was a child?”

Han Shi Yu’s voice had a thick accent of happiness in it, “Yes.”

Lu You Qi took it down to look at it carefully. He remembered that they were currently on a trip to adopt a special ‘family member’, so he thought of Yang Han again and asked, “How did you two ended up adopting Yang Han in the first place?”

“We didn’t meet the requirements,” Han Shi Yu said, “So she was actually adopted under my mom’s name.”

Han Shi Yu said, “I went with Yang Mo to visit her.”
