Leon's voice faltered as he spoke of Ayan, his tone filled with deep respect. "You know, little sister, Grandfather requested Ayan Celestial Eye for taking me as his disciple. And Master eventually agreed. The legendary sword you now carry is given by my master."
His voice trailed off into a sorrowful tone as he paused for a moment as if lost in thought, "But when I turned fourteen, Master had to leave me. He said he had some personal matters to attend to, and I was ready to live on my own," his voice lowering as he spoke.
Helia listened to her big brother's story about the legendary sword, her eyes flickered with surprise. She had never discovered where her brother had obtained this weapon, but its power had been a game-changer for her in many battles. The weapon was so formidable that only those recognized by the legendary sword were capable of wielding it.
Leon's voice trembled with emotion as he spoke to her, "I need to tell you something, little sister, and it's not going to be easy to hear. But you deserve to know the truth. My death was not caused by humans." He paused for a moment, his voice filled with sadness.
"It was a conspiracy, Helia. A well-planned evil plot by our own clan to keep their dark secrets hidden." His words hung heavy in the air, the weight of the truth bearing down on them both.
"No..., how can this be true?" Helia muttered under her breath, her expression shifting to one of disbelief and shock. She felt like her whole world had been turned upside down, and she was having a hard time coping with the truth of her brother's story.
Her shattered beliefs were heavy on her heart, and she couldn't help but clench her fists in anger and frustration. All the years of animosity towards humans felt pointless now, and she couldn't help but feel betrayed by her own clan.
Helia struggled to hold back her tears, as she tried to process the truth and the magnitude of its implications.
Leon took a deep breath and continued, his voice now heavy with concern seeing his sister in more tears, "As I went on various missions, I discovered the dark side of the world. The Cliffdane clan was working with some of the other great clans secretly, one of which was the Rainheart clan. When they realized I had found some evidence that could expose them, they planned to kill me and make it look like an accident. They wanted to claim the Shamor Empire for themselves."
Helia gritted her teeth and bit her lip in anger as she listened to her brother's story with a startled and vexed expression. She couldn't believe that the people she had trusted and respected had been responsible for so much pain and suffering, including the loss of her own brother.
At the same time, she realized that they had also caused her to hate someone who had shown genuine care for her, even when she had treated him poorly on their first meeting.
She felt a pang of guilt and regret as she remembered how she had misbehaved with Rio, she had been cold and dismissive towards him, all because of the false beliefs that had been ingrained in her. Now she realized that her hatred towards humans was misplaced, and it had caused her to push away someone who had a kind heart.
Leon's voice trembled as he continued, "Not only did they poison Mother, but they also poisoned Uncle. Luckily, he had a high level of cultivation, so the poison was less effective on him. They are waiting for the current Emperor to pass away so they can assassinate Lia and take over the Shamor Empire once again."
As the revelations continued to pour out, Helia's expression became more and more bewildered with an intense fury. Her mind was racing as she tried to process everything that she was hearing, and she could feel her heart pounding in her chest.
Despite her anger towards the great clans of the Shamor Empire and her own Rainheart clan, Helia also felt a deep sense of hatred towards herself for treating that crimson-haired boy so unfairly.
Leon's voice turned dark as he spoke, "The great clans were responsible for my death. Except for the Mistblade clan and Spirit Heart Sect, they all conspired to kill me. Their most skilled experts were sent after me when I went to retrieve the medicine for Mother.
I was on the brink of death when I prayed to Master for one last chance to see you. And then, a blue-haired lady appeared, fierce in battle and with a heart of gold. She fought with them all to buy me some time to open a glyph teleportation portal to come see you, my little sister."
As Leon finished recounting the truth of his death, Helia's mind was in a whirlwind of emotions. The weight of the revelations was too much for her to bear. She couldn't believe the people she had trusted and respected had been responsible for so much pain and suffering, including the loss of her own brother. And to add to that, Leon's death was not caused by humans but by a deliberate conspiracy by their own clan.
As the realization hit her, Helia's body started to shake uncontrollably, and she fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face. The pain of betrayal and loss was overwhelming, and she couldn't bring herself to speak.
Leon's heart sank as he watched his sister fall apart before him. He knew this was a lot for her to take in, but he had to tell her the truth.
