"C- Cedric." Katerina said in a shaky voice when she turned to look at the couple next to her.

Cedric could clearly see the distress in her eyes, it seemed that she wasn't prepared to run into people she knew in the hospital today.

"Kat, why are you here?" Adrianna asked in a calm tone as she glared at her husband. It was clear that if he questioned their friend she wouldn't speak up. "Are you here for a routine check?"

"Y- y- yes." Katerina, who was normally confident, said, clearly stumbling on her answers.

"Katerina, why don't you join us at the restaurant? I'm sure the doctor's assistant would be more than happy to call us when it's your turn." Adrianna suggested to her friend as she offered her hand.

"Miss Sebastian, I can get you a slot in thirty minutes, the couple that was supposed to come over for a check up canceled." The assistant said with a smile, clearly relieved that the Reyes couple managed to calm the intimidating Katerina.

"Alright." Katerina nodded as she slowly regained her confidence.

"Perfect!" Adrianna exclaimed as she pulled Katerina with them.

It wasn't in their plans to have a snack at the hospital, it was clearly unsafe and held many risks for the couple, but it's what their friend needed at the moment.

Cedric was sure that there was something more if Katerina was demanding to see the doctor in such a rush, he suspected that she might be pregnant.

He chose not to tell his wife or his friend about his suspicions, opting to remain silent and trust that Katerina would tell them on her own.

Cedric's bodyguards found an empty table at the far end of the cafeteria. At first they had insisted on clearing out all the tables around Cedric and his companions, but the businessman told them not to.

He knew that the people here were harmless, they were all visiting the hospital for their health or the health of someone they loved. He, however, allowed them to stand around their group and to shadow him as he ordered food and drinks from him and the girls.

When they were finally settled down Cedric began to chat with his wife about their plans for her delivery, he noticed that Katerina seemed to be lost in thought. He gestured to Adrianna that the woman with them might need to talk.

"Kat, are you alright?" Adrianna asked as she reached out and touched Katerina's hand.

The woman sighed and shook her head.

"I'm. . ." Unable to continue what she was saying, Katerina took a deep breath and closed her eyes as she gathered her courage and strength to speak up. "I'm late and I took a test and it said positive. I don't want to tell anyone until I'm sure, but I feel like I am."

Cedric smiled and went over to the shaking Katerina.

He pulled her into a hug and patted her back. All the younger sisters of their group were in essence their sisters too, he cared for Katerina deeply and he knew why she was so worried.

"Congratulations, does Eric know?" Cedric said in a low voice, making sure that others would not hear.

Katerina shook her head and frowned.

"I know we just got engaged and this is moving really fast, but I wanted to be sure before telling him." She told Cedric. "I didn't really have my hopes up that we would have kids, but I'm really happy that there is a possibility."

Cedric smiled and nodded as he glanced at his watch.

"We should go back to Dr. Santos' office." He told the women as he got up and rushed to offer his wife a hand up.

Katerina smiled at the sweet couple, despite everything they had gone through, they were still very much in love.

Adrianna and Cedric had suffered much in the early days of their relationship, so much so that Katerina, who was simply watching from a distance, thought they would break up. She had heard stories about Adrianna's family and concluded that Cedric deserved better.

And yet here they were with Adrianna's parents having a change of heart and the couple soon welcoming their second and third children.

As they made their way to the doctor's office, they were greeted by flashes of the camera.

Katerina was more popular than ever since her engagement to Eric. She had gathered not only fans, but haters as well. That's why when she first came to the hospital she did her best to hide her face.

Katerina felt Adrianna reach for her hand and give it a small squeeze. She looked at the other woman and gave her a smile.

"Relax, they will just think you're here to accompany us." Adrianna whispered as they approached the doctor's office.

"Dr. Santos is ready to see you now." The assistant said as soon as she noticed Katerina.

Cedric simply nodded and pushed the door open.

"Mr. and Mrs. Reyes, you're back!" The doctor said, surprised to see the couple in her office once more.

"We're here for a friend." Cedric said as he gestured towards Katerina who was smiling nervously.

"Miss Sebastian?" The doctor said, shocked that Katerina was there for an appointment.

The assistant soon came in, handing the doctor a file for Katerina.

When the assistant finally left, Katerina managed to explain her situation.

"I think I'm pregnant, I took some home tests and they came out positive but I want to be sure." Katerina told the doctor.

"Alright." Dr. Santos said as she took out some vials and needles. "We'll need to run some blood tests to confirm, but it's highly likely that you're pregnant if you were positive with multiple tests."

Katerina wordlessly nodded as she extended her arm for the doctor to take some blood.

As they waited, Cedric's phone began to ring and to his surprise it was Mae. She was supposed to be working with Katerina on the matter of the employees that were injured.

Cedric excused himself and stepped out to take the call.

"Mae?" Cedric asked.

"Sorry I had to call you sir, but Miss Sebastian isn't answering her phone." Mae said apologetically.

"It's fine, I'm with her. Why did you call?" Cedric asked his assistant, confused as to what could be so urgent that she needed to call him instead of waiting.

"Sir, one of the injured employees is missing. We can't find him or his family." Cedric turned pale at the news, he knew that this was not good.
