Chapter 189 - Handsome! 2

Hearing the familiar voice coming from the opposite side, Ariana and Chen Nan raised their heads. Their eyes widened as they saw Alexander standing in front of them with a smile on his face. Before the couple could reach out to ask him some questions, Qian Ling interrupted.

"We'll start with three glasses of lemon water. Bring us a small cup and a baby high chair. Thanks." She said as she took a look at the menu.

"Sure. Thank you for stopping by on our grand opening day. I appreciate it." Alexander walked away as if he hadn't seen the couple sitting by Qian Ling's side. On his way to the back of the restaurant, he informed his partner about Qian Ling's arrival and order.

"Auntie Qian Ling, that was Alexander! But why did he act like he didn't know us?" Ariana asked as her eyes concentrated at the back of the restaurant.

Qian Ling skimmed through the menu. "I'm only telling you my part of the story and nothing about what Alexander wouldn't want you guys to know about. After separating from you guys at the underground tunnel, we overheard about his family background. He defeated the boney man and Shi Kow Wan after a while of fighting. When I got out of the hiding spot, I wanted to bury his corpse."

"It was fortunate that I decided to go back in there for him because he was still breathing. With my strength, I could only get him back to the lab. That was when I realized saving him was possible. Anyways, during the year and a half that I was gone, I spent half of that time to help him recuperate."

"Maybe this was the best ending for him because he lost all memories from the past. Instead of bringing him to you guys, I'd rather him start his life anew. His life right now is much simpler with no recollection of his slaughtered family and unrequited love. I'm sure you guys understand what I'm saying, and it's no surprise to hear these words."

Qian Ling's last few words were hinted meaningfully. After going through many life and death situations, Ariana already figured out Alexander's feelings for her. She never addressed it as she didn't know how to face him. At the same time, she didn't want to destroy their friendship either.

Hearing Qian Ling's confrontation, the couple nodded.

"There was a room full of money in the underground tunnel, so I took them. I made an account and put all the money inside of it under Alexander's name. After he had woken up, I took care of him until he was fully recovered. In the past two years and a half, he has been living happily in peace."

Before she could continue talking, Alexander came out with the high chair she requested. When he placed the chair down, Alexia stretched out her arms and started speaking. "Handsome uncle! Hug, hug!"

Chuckling at the little girl's gesture for a hug, Alexander turned to Ariana and Chen Nan for their permission. "May I?"

"Of course." Ariana smiled.

Picking Alexia up in his arms, he lifted her up in the air and back down a few times; earning her joyful laughter. "Wahhhh, high. High! I'm a birdie! Handsome uncle, higher!!"

"Hahaha, little princess, what's your name?" Alexander held Alexia in his embrace as he played with her.

"Alexia! I'm three and a half years old!" She counted her small fingers before showing three fingers on one side and four fingers on the other. Since she was almost four years old, she was confused about lifting the number of fingers.

"Hahaha, how adorable. Uncle's name is Alexander. Your name takes half of uncle's name. Tell uncle what you like to eat and uncle will treat you." Alexander smiled tenderly at Alexia as if he was looking at his own child.

"Ice cream! Cake!" Since someone asked her for her opinion, she wasn't afraid to let the world know about her favorite desserts!

"Alexia, eat your proper meal first. Mommy will buy you dessert afterwards. Don't bother uncle." Ariana was a bit emotional when she saw how attached they were. 'Maybe this is the best for all of us.'

"She's no bother. She's very cute and energetic. Let me know when you guys are ready to order. I'll treat for dessert." Alexander helped Alexia sit in the high chair before recommending some popular dishes. He made sure to go over the ingredients in case they have any allergies to any of the dishes.

After jotting down their order, Alexander excused himself to the kitchen. Ariana shot a glance at her daughter, "Alexia, you can't learn to flirt at such an early age! Just because you see good-looking uncles doesn't mean you should wave your arms out for hugs. Who did you learn it from? Sheesh."

Alexia blinked at Ariana innocently as if she didn't understand a word she had just said. Sighing, Ariana let her off this time. "Forget it. Forget it. But no next time. Anyways, I'm glad he's healthy and living well."

Qian Ling smiled, "I'm glad you think this way. Let's enjoy this meal."

Around fifteen minutes later, Alexander came back to the table and served various dishes. He left a pair of scissors and table utensils for them to cut smaller pieces for Alexia. After setting the table for them, another lady walked over and circled her arms around Alexander's arm.

"Is she the doctor who saved you?" The young lady smiled as she nodded politely at them.

"Yes, let me introduce you. This is Qian Ling, the person who saved my life and took care of me until I recovered. This is Eliza, my fiancée."

"Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Don't forget to send me the invitation for your wedding!" Qian Ling smiled at the loving couple in front of her.

Eliza blushed and said, "Of course! I've always wanted to meet you. Thank you for saving Alexander. If not, we wouldn't have been able to meet and get to where we are now."

"Pretty sister! Pretty sister!" Alexia waved her hands in the air for the grown-ups attention.

"Hmm? Are you calling me?" Eliza smiled and walked towards her.

"Yes! Alexia gives flowers to you and handsome uncle!" Taking some flowers from her small bag, she handed it to Eliza. Although the flowers were a little crushed, Eliza smiled sweetly and accepted the gift.

"Thank you, Alexia. The flowers are lovely." Alexander placed his arm around Eliza and smiled at Alexia.

"Thank you Alexia. After you finish your food, uncle will bring you some dessert, okay? Ice cream and chocolate cake?"

When Alexia heard that she had desserts coming up, she quickly held out her hands. "Mommy, food!"

Seeing the little devil's behavior made everyone laugh.

After an hour later, Alexander and Eliza walked the four of them out. Before leaving, Alexia gave the couple small pecks on their faces, making them smile cheerfully.

"Come again next time. Uncle will treat you to other sweets." Alexander said as he waved at Alexia. The couple watched as the four of them settled in their car before separating from them. As Alexander held onto his fiancée's hands, Ariana also turned her head back to take a good look at him.

She wanted to call out to him, but stopped when she heard the couple's conversation.

Eliza: "You look like you like Alexia alot. Since you like daughters so much, how about we have one too?"

Alexander: "Oh? Just one? I want at least two little Eliza's running to wake me up in the morning. Maybe a son first to protect his younger sisters."

Eliza: "Hmm? Then you need to work harder at night."

Alexander laughed and pulled her closer by her waist, "Then we should start thinking about our wedding plans. I'm making you the most beautiful bride and happiest wife on earth first before thinking of children."

Smiling, Ariana shook her head and sat back in the car. "Let's go."
