1.Break Up

“Now that it has come to this, please annul this marriage.”

Those were the words of her fiancé, Eden Orwenbridge, whom she met after a long time.

Kyrie quietly studied his face

He had a moderately beautiful face with flashy blond hair, confident green eyes, and beautifully drawn skin.

‘With those looks, anyone can tell he’s the crown prince.’

He was happy even without Kyrie because of his looks.

“Are you… going to refuse?”

Kyrie only touched the handle of the teacup and said nothing.The woman who sat next to Eden had tears hanging from her eyes.

Rubinia Cassner. The most beautiful socialite with lovely blonde hair and green eyes. She dug into Eden’s arms with exaggerated gestures

“I thought Miss Buchanan would do us a favor…Can’t you see how much we love each other? Is it so hard for you to back off? Do you want to keep us apart that much?”

Kyrie had not even said anything, though Rubinia acted as if she had.

It wasn’t just for today. She had been doing this for nearly a year.

Rubinia was the one who got in between the engaged couple and caused the situation to escalate to this point.

Kyrie sat quietly on the sofa and reflected on the past year. It was awful.

Rubinia Cassner was an awful woman, but Eden Orewinbridge was much more heinous than she was.

Without that, Kyrie could not be ignored.

Even though he already had a fiancée, Rubinia always accompanied him in public places.

‘If I was him, I wouldn’t want to be engaged to me, either.’

He must have been ashamed at first. He even pretended to be so innocent, saying that Rubinia was ‘just a friend’.

However, roughly six months later. He had shared a secret kiss with her at another aristocrat’s ball.

She didn’t love Eden, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t angry.

High society began to compare Rubinia and Kyrie.

The Spring Fairy has defeated the Snow Queen, however the Fairy must be spared regardless of how furious the King, the man who arranged this marriage, was. 

In the end, the King gave in to his son’s demands.

“If you get in the way of me and Rubinia, I will destroy the castle of Orwenbridge!”

Eden’s shocking words seemed like nonsense to the King.

You can’t lose the crown prince.

After a year of cheating on her, he finally offered to annul the marriage.

‘How did my life end up like this?’ Kyrie sighed.

“Do you truly feel sorry, Crown Prince?”

“Of course I feel sorry!”

Eden looked ‘really sorry’ at her cold words, seeing this her stomach twisted. It isn’t known why the victim should ask for an apology from the abuser. 

“Now that it’s happened, I want you to annul this marriage.”

Kyrie didn’t let go of the teacup in her hand. If she didn’t hold on to something, she was afraid she might lose control of her fists.

“Is that all you have to say?”

Eden nodded shamelessly at Kyrie’s cold words. 

“Yes. I’m sorry. But that doesn’t mean the Royal family wants to lose the support of the Buchanan family, so don’t take this the wrong way.”

Kyrie laughed.

He wants the influence of the Buchanan family even after insulting them for a year!

Although they only have the title of Count. The Buchanan family is the most nationally renowned family whose founder, together with Vallabriga, founded The Orewinbridge.

In particular, Count Buchanan, who was overwhelmingly supported by local nobles, couldn’t be treated like this even though it was the royal family.

‘He wants to break up, but also wants to avoid political confrontation. How petty.’

Kyrie sighed softly.

“Fine. I accept your request to annul this engagement.”

“Really? Thank you!”

“But I hope there will be sufficient compensation for the mental damage I have suffered.”

Even though Kyrie’s words were cold, they didn’t seem to phase Eden at all.

“Miss Kyrie, I’m so glad you understand our love! How much?”

He talked for a while about how lovely Rubinia was and left.
