Chapter 13 - The Eldest Miss has been taken away!

The next early morning, Ronglou and Huangyu wanted to go to the market to buy more fabric for the Wedding Dress.

Ronglou told her mother that she needed more, as she was not happy with the results of the dress. Since Ronglou was distressed, Madame Yu Menglou had given a sachet. It contained 10 gold coins. 1 gold coin was equal to 100 silver coins, while 1 silver coin is equal to 100 copper coins.

To the common folks, 10 gold coins might be enough to live luxurious for their whole lives. In the Imperial city, It wasn't. Everything was priced high, since most of the families that lives here are wealthy. Seeing the amount of money that she received, Ronglou smiled. She had hugged her mother, pretending that she was happy for helping her prepare her wedding dress. After all, It was her ultimate dream!

Today, Ronglou was dressed back to her favorite pink robes. So Madame Yu didn't find anything strange about her Eldest Daughter. Huangyu silently followed her Miss as they went out from the Yu Residence.

For some odd reason though, Yu Menglou felt a foreboding feeling in her heart. The first thing that she thought of was her sons, since they were thousands of Li away. She couldn't shake this bad feeling, so she started to get worried.

Ronglou and Huangyu continued walking straight. The market was not far, but they had to pass deserted bridge. Her father liked the thought of living not too close to the Palace and the Market, so he bought a large courtyard on the west side of the Imperial City. The Palace was in the North, while the Market was on the East.

As Ronglou and Huangyu got near the bridge, two man in black robes and masks blocked their way. Ronglou's eyes went wide, Huangyu instinctively hidden her Miss behind her.

"Who are you?! Why are you blocking the road?! Don't you know who my Miss is?" Huangyu yelled.

"We know, its exactly why we are here!" One man said and then he nodded to his partner. Seeing the signal, they instantly went towards both woman to knock them out. They wanted to act quickly. They were hired mercenaries to take in these two beauties. They only know that they needed to follow this orders or it'll be their heads on the table.

Ronglou and Huangyu didn't know any sort of martial arts nor qinggong, so they couldn't defend themselves. Just before Ronglou got knocked out by pressing her sleeping pressure point, She screamed.

"AHHHHH!!!!!"

The two panicked and instantly knocked them out. The two lifted them both, carrying one in hand. The one carrying Ronglou, didn't notice that one of her shoe fell out.

Someone heard the scream! One of the guards who was standing outside the Main Gates of the Yu Residence, heard the scream.

"Did you hear that?" The younger guard asked his comrade.

"No, did you hear something?" The older man asked, he knew that the younger guard beside him had an excellent hearing.

"It was that way." He pointed the way were the Eldest Miss was heading. She just came out one incense ago. Thinking about it, the scream sounded familiar too. The more he think about it, the wider his eyes went.

"Its the Eldest Miss!". The young guard instantly ran towards the bridge. Seeing the younger guard ran in panic, the older guard followed.

When they reached the bridge, there was nobody there. Though there was one shoe on the ground. The older guard instantly picked it up and turned it upside down. It might not be common to the other people, but the Yu Residence has a very small insignia under their shoes. Only those with trained eyes could one be able to tell or the ones from the Yu Residence. Being the guards, they both knew all about it.

Seeing the Yu Insignia on the shoe, both guards looked at each other. They could feel their back sweating and a cold chill penetrated their spines. Both of them instantly turned around and ran back towards the Yu Residence.
