Chapter 15 - Aren't you afraid that I'll pounce on you?

"You really have done a good job." Ronglou sipped her tea, as she sat comfortably next to Gu Hongfe.

Hongfe chuckled. "They were extremely fast though, as you have predicted. Didn't thought that they would really keep an eye on you. I heard that the Fox Mercenary had a hard time dealing with those pursuers."

Hongfe was really astonished, he never thought that this girl had a different side to her. Aside from being beautiful and talented, she also have a shrewd mind. He can't help but wonder why she decided to not follow through the wedding. Everyone knew how much the Eldest Miss was looking forward to the Wedding, since she was just a child.

Ronglou only shrugged. She already changed into her red dress, while Huangyu was dressed as a man. They even altered her appearance, so she would look slightly ugly and ordinary. She didn't like it but what else could she do? She'd rather pretend to be a man rather than not being able to follow her Miss. Huangyu stood silently behind her Miss, as she poured her more tea.

Seeing that Ronglou didn't reply, Hongfe spoke again. "What do you plan now? You know that its going to be hard getting out from the Imperial City from today on."

"I'm not leaving just yet, I'm waiting for my Eldest Brother or Second Brother to come. I'm sure they would know of this incident in a couple days from now." Ronglou looked at Hongfe.

"Couple of days? Aren't you afraid of them finding you?"

"Not at all, they would never think of me staying here. As long as the Fox Mercenary followed your orders, they will be thrown off track. Why would they think that the prim and graceful Eldest Miss be staying inside the Hua Pavilion. I don't have any connections to you, nor have they seen us met or got acquainted." Ronglou explained.

"You really have thought this through well, didn't you? Even though I'm dress as a woman, you should know that I am still a man." Hongfe's smiled curved up.

"Aren't you afraid that I'll pounce on you while you stay inside my courtyard?".

Huangyu gasps. That's right! Hongfe was a man! A beautiful man, more beautiful that the ladies in the Imperial City! Well, just below her Miss of course.

Ronglou chuckled and put her cup down. "Not at all. Although I know that you are a man, You being dress like that doesn't make me feel intimidated at all."

Hongfe didn't like what he had heard. In a swift move, he pulled her hand and head so he could be only breaths apart from her. "Are you tempting me Miss?"

Ronglou smiled. This, this is one of the things that she had missed on her first life. Being able to feel that she too was a woman.

Though she only thinks of Hongfe as a friend, it still made her heart flutter. She remembered how manly and handsome Hongfe is, when he dressed up as a man. Even his second brother would be put to shame!

Ronglou looked at him in the eye, as she lifted her hand to his cheeks. She lowly caress it, as if wanting to know if it was real. His face was slowly getting red and it was soft to touch.

Hongfe was stunned. As if he couldn't move. He had never seen a woman who was this courageous! To even dare touch his face! He usually hated someone touching him, but for some reason he didn't right now.

"You're too beautiful to be a woman anyways, I bet it'll be to die for seeing your real countenance. I'd look forward to the day that you'll pounce on me, Young Master Gu." Ronglou gave him a seductive smile.

Gu Hongfe's face turned into a tomato. His face was extremely red. He stood up instantly and left the room. As fast as he could.

"Hahaha.. that was too funny!" Ronglou bellowed.

"Miss! You scared me! What if he really kissed you or pounce on you in the future?" Huangyu was distressed the whole time looking at the two of them. Yet she didn't move nor stop them, she knew very well that her Miss was perfectly capable. So she only covered her mouth and became a stone in the background.

"He won't. I still haven't told him about the people that he is wanting to save. It's fine as long as we don't step over the line. But if he does, it's not a but idea too. That man, though he looks like a woman. He is powerful, his wings is just hidden in the shat. Just wait till you see him dress like noble man. Even Second Brother would be embarrassed." Ronglou giggled.

Huangyu's brows furrowed but didn't said anything else. The Second Young Master of the Yu Residence was a very handsome man. She could not imagine seeing Gu Hongfe more handsome than Yu Zhefei. Hidden behind the shadows? Was he really powerful?
