The masked man looked at her fighting stance and chuckled aware that she was not an expert. The disregard in his eyes was obvious and even Rong Yue knew that her chances were slim.
In fact, if their database hadn't been compromised by her, she would have no chance at all.
Also, she still had to carry Qin Yichen.
There was only one way.
To take this man down!
And then try to escape before anyone noticed that anything was wrong with him.
With her mind made up, she pulled out a Taser from her dress pocket.
"Young lady, I'm afraid you have touched matters that have nothing to do with you," he said while raising his hands to check the watch that was strapped on his wrist.
"Perhaps, you don't know where you are, but he's not someone you can take away."
Her fists clenched as she heard his words, even more determined to deal with him.
"He is my person. As for who you are... it's not important!"
All that mattered was that he had touched someone that she cared about. To her, nothing else was more important than that.
Her words, however, made the man look at her cynically. Everyone that had done simple investigations on Qin Yichen would know that the man stayed away from women.
In fact, dealing with him would have been a lot easier if he showed interest in men as that was the weakness of most men.
But Qin Yichen wouldn't pay even the best of women any attention. Some people had even been daring in the past and tried to take care of him by giving him, beautiful men.
Neither those men nor the companies they owned still existed anymore.
So everyone had given up. Yet, there was a woman here claiming that Qin Yichen was her person.
"This is my last warning, after now, even the heavens wouldn't save you," the man warned, his hands moving to his back pocket.
Rong Yue's eyes followed his hand movement, knowing that he wanted to pull out a weapon.
Guns were banned in their own country but in a place like this, she was certain that a man like this would have one so without giving him the chance to do anything, she lunged at him.
"Get lost!" With one shove, he pushed the masked man out of the way and went outside the room with Rong Yue.
"Come, let's climb down from here. I'll get us out from the fifth floor," Rong Yue said and then glanced down at her watch worriedly.
They barely had five minutes and she wasn't sure that would be enough for them to make an escape.
She had not realized that she was the only one trying to find an escape route.
Patting her head dotingly he calmed her down, "I walked in here by myself. Even their bosses couldn't stop me if I want to leave,"
The confidence and arrogance in his tone made Rong Yue slightly startled and she nodded mindlessly.
Was his influence outside the country just as great?
"Don't worry, we would talk when we get back home," Qin Yichen said and then pulled her towards the sixth-floor elevator.
Just like he said, no one stopped them and Qin Yichen led the way until they were out of The Viridian.
Despite the millions of questions that she had for him, Rong Yue quietly led him to the cafe where she had left her computer.
Everything was still intact and she packed the bag back. "I booked a taxi earlier, we can use it to go back,"
Without any warning, Qin Yichen pulled her into his arms, resting his head on the crook of her neck. "Yue'er, thank you,"
Even though he hadn't been in any real danger, for her to come to a place like this, with her preparations, he could see that it wasn't because she didn't know how dangerous it was, but rather, because she knew.
Because she had thought he was in danger, the little girl that he wanted to keep away from all harm had braced all the dangers and came for him.
At this point, there were no words that Rong Yue could use to persuade him.
He knew that he was in her heart. Even if her heart wasn't ready yet.
But that was enough.
Feeling his breath on her neck, Rong Yue felt her body getting warmer and warmer until it became unbearable and she pushed him away.
"Why are you thanking me? Wasn't I worrying for nothing the whole time!"
"You could have left me a proper message that would have allowed me to know that you were making yourself a willing bait!"
