Year 4014 - XX Island-
A certain man with black hair and emerald green eyes, played with the rose in his hands. Soon his subordinates would arrive with Lyn. He couldn't wait to see her again when was the last time he saw her? Three years? Two years? Either way, quite some time has passed since he last saw her again. The last time he saw her, she was crying so much because he was covered in blood.
'Brother...this is hard to treat.. Let me use..'
She almost used her healing powers on him. Such a naive child. If she did that, then Andrew would have found out. Using healing powers on another member of nobility is not a bad thing. However, at that time, Andrew would notice. How did he stop her again?
.....
Year 40XX
"Ssh, Lyn, quit crying so much." However, none of his words were getting to her at all. In fact, it looked like she was crying even more than before. Geez, what a hopeless person.
"Don't cry anymore," before Zepher knew it; he lightly brushed his lips against hers.
..
Year 4014 Present Day
Zepher frantically shook his head, quit it. Even if she isn't his sister, he needs to stop having those weird thoughts. Besides, even if she does know the truth, now she won't ever look at him as a man. When he first found out that his feelings for her were a bit strange. Zepher tried to distance himself from her. But when he did that, she personally came to find him. 'Brother, do you hate me?' It pained him to see her that way; why would he hate her? It was because of Lyn that he even stuck around in that stupid castle. Otherwise, he would have left a long time ago.
The reason why he wants to bring her to his side. 'Havok will eventually fall on the Mist Kingdom.' He wants to move her away quickly. At first, Zepher intends just to leave her there, even if they treated her existence as a curse. At least she had a roof over her head. For a long time, he didn't have a stable home. He often played around with women just so he could have somewhere to stay. The moment anybody recognized him, he would move away. He would not stay in one place for too long — a constant life on the run.
Zepher couldn't let Lyn live such a horrendous lifestyle. So, even though it meant separating from her for a long time. He did what he did. To chase after her and ask her to come to his side after so long is shameful. Lyn could have refused, but he received word from the others. 'The lady told our messenger in person.' So, does this mean over the years nothing has happened between Lyn and that fiance of hers? Zepher knew about the young man from the Wind Kingdom's feelings for Lyn.
He knew how much the man cared for Lyn. So for a long time, even before he found out his feelings for Lyn. Zepher thought Prince Allen would take Lyn away from him.
But it seems like even now that guy hasn't done a thing. If Lyn is willing to come with him, that means even now the girl does not have anyone special, correct?
Now that his situation had stabled, he can guarantee her safety and a good lifestyle.
His thoughts broke off when the doors opened. One of his subordinates came in with a frantic expression.
"Boss, we have a problem. The girl, they are attacking her."
Even with that vague explanation, Zepher knew who the messenger spoke about.
His gaze darkened, "What?!!" Zepher immediately bolted up his chair. "What's happening? How did they find out?"
"We don't know, sir, but they started attacking her. Right now, she is fighting."
"Did she come alone?"
"No, she came with a young man."
A young man? Zepher frowned slightly but shook his head. Don't think about it; it's a good thing she isn't alone now. "What happened to the others I sent?"
"They were attacked along the way, boss."
"Damn," Zepher cursed. "Send another team."
Zepher slipped his cloak on, his gaze dark. That Kourin, she - really doesn't hesitate. How dare she break their agreement? Then again, he did offer the jewel he stole for her sake to get Lyn. Still, he only stole that jewel knowing it's value. Those people don't care about Lyn.
They only sent one person to come with her too.
___
Oh no, this is bad. Her consciousness. She didn't think there would be this many people. But then again, she of all people should understand. A battlefield or not, whenever a fight breaks out, the unexpected happens. Lyn's gaze fell on her wounded shoulder and gritted her teeth. She made a quick made shift bandage by tearing her sleeves slightly. Right at that moment, the enemy charged towards her again.
However, before Lyn could defend herself, somebody else deflected the attack.
"Rhys!" Lyn exclaimed.
Rhys wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his arms as he directed his scrolls towards the enemy.
"Thank goodness I made it on time."
"Um, why did you come here?"
"I noticed something strange; a group of people were sneaking around the house. When I questioned them, they told me they just wanted to get a look at the woman that both dangerous gangs are after."
Ah... "Me?"
"Right, when they told me there was another one. I figured they'd use this chance to try to get you. So, I came here..." Rhys looked over at Kazuya. "Oi, Kazuya. Quit fooling around, end it already."
"Shut it."
But just as Rhys said that the people surrounding Kazuya dropped down onto the floor. Lyn blinked, what did he do there? Kazuya didn't budge an inch, but for some reason, everybody collapsed. Kazuya jumped over the bodies and walked over to her. He caressed her cheeks, "You got hurt, my Lyn."
"Ah, just a scratch."
"Be careful."
"Ah-huh," Lyn peeked over at him. Kazuya didn't get hurt at all, even though he fought so many people. Even though so many men surrounded him. He's not out of breath like her too. 'Amazing...'
"What are we going to do...Brother.."
"Your brother's people were probably attacked too. But we can't back down on the deal now. He will most likely send other people or even come here himself. Let's find a place to hide," Rhys suggested.
....
The place they found to hide was a nearby cave. It was not the best place for her to rest, but Lyn was grateful to sit down anymore. The wound on her arm was causing her a lot of problems. Breathless, Lyn sat down on the ground.
"Wait, I'll fix that up for you."
Lyn nodded.
She didn't think a simple arm wound would inflict so much damage. Then again, judging from the bleeding, it was bound to be painful.
Her thoughts broke off when Kazuya bent down to kiss her.
Her cheeks turned a rosy red color when she realized what he was doing. She lightly pushed him away, "What are you doing?"
"I thought I'd distract you."
'This idiot..' "Don't copy Rhys ways, Kazuya. He's a pervert, your not."
Kazuya blinked but nodded. "So Rhys, does this when your hurt?"
Rhys, who was busy taking out medical supplies from his bag, looked over. "I do it to stop her rambling too."
"Aahhhgh. Be quiet."
Lately, what is with this guy? He usually would hide such things from Kazuya. But now he's become so open about it. To her surprise, Kazuya nodded and mumbled something about getting it. Before Lyn could ask what he meant, she felt his lips on hers again. This time the kiss was more passionate. Her head already felt dizzy due to the pain of her wounds and loss of blood. But now? Now Kazuya was making it worse.
She quickly moved away from him and pouted. "Both of you get away from me."
"Uhh..." Kazuya mumbled. "Sorry, but I thought you'd be happy."
Yes, she would normally. But this isn't the time; what's more, they are in public! Even with her back turned to him, Lyn knew that Kazuya was making a regretful expression. He really is a hopeless person at times, even though he is supposed to be a genius. But well, this is one of the things she likes the most about him.
