"Good, I promise you that you will not regret it. And while you are there, I will do what I can to find a way to put you on par or close to her power." The old man patted Creige's shoulder and looked at the door in front of them. "She is making you good things. It will benefit you greatly in the future."
Creige's eyes widened. He knew Kana was working on something for them, but he never expected that even the old man would praise it like this. He was very curious now! He had always been a forge fanatic, and he knew his wife had been working on her forging skills over the years, so he truly wished to know what she was making. But even he did not dare go near the room that was so hot that the door handle was glowing red.
Inside the room, Kana's brow dripped with sweat as she created a gem made of chaos and life and death elements. She was using these elements to protect, attack the attacker and heal her family. The process was very long and mentally exhausting. And she had to do this many times.
Days continued to pass, and Kana had not left the forge room once. She used water magic to clean herself every time she felt too sticky and froze a section of the room to eat some food without it turning to ash as soon as she took it out.
Back outside the room, Creige stood strong as he waited for Kana to come out. He knew she was fine, as they had a connection to one another, but he still couldn't stop himself from worrying. If it was not for his daughters bringing him meals and spending time with him, he would probably not eat or sleep. The girls would take turns keeping watch every night to allow their Handsome Papa to sleep. They had never seen him like this, but it seemed he was too worried to care about anything else.
Upstairs, Rain was doing some paperwork in the office. Next to her were two figures with ghostly images. "Aunty Ceilie, you really are sneaking in like this."
"Hehe…. We finally finished training new people for your sister so we can come here. We have no idea how strong we will be now that so many years have passed, but we will do what we can to help." Ceilie replied as she took a file Rain had set to the side and put it in its correct spot. She had been doing clerical work for so many hundreds of years she was quite used to finding things easily.
"Mama will be very happy. And do not worry about how powerful you are. Mama will not care. After all, there is probably no one who can match Mama." Rain smiled as she said this. Only around her Mama can she still be a small child. If her mother's personality had ever changed, she would never be able to act in such a way. So she cherishes every moment she can be a small child and make up for the time she missed with her mama even though she had long made that time up by now. But that does not stop her from wanting to be spoiled.
"I am sure she is. She has always grown so fast…." Ceilie sighed as she turned around and looked at the cat girl behind her, just as transparent as her floating around aimlessly. "Nergal, what are you doing?"
"I am trying to find the meaning of life," Nergal said as she floated to a bookshelf as if she was truly looking for something.
"Can you make a better excuse if you wish to slack off!?" Ceilie let out a long sigh. "Just go relax. I am just helping Rain because I don't mind if you want to take a much needed break, then go ahead."
"Yay!" Nergal stopped looking at the books and floated over to the couch and flopped down onto it, and began kicking her legs up and down. "Break time!"
"Angelica worked you two to the bones…. If you had any, that is." Rain chuckled at her own little joke causing Ceilie to smile.
"No, we offered since she let us have such free reign over the castle. It was the least we could do. Plus, she needed to grow stronger as well." Ceilie explained as she picked up another file and filed it in its correct spot.
"I hope Mama comes out soon. She has been in the forge room for over six months now…." Rain sighed. "Although I think when she comes out and sees you two, she might forget what was doing and break down crying right then and there."
"Now that I think about it, this is a huge possibility." Ceilie and Rain laughed. The two continued chatting while the catgirl did her own thing on the couch.
Back downstairs, the door to the forge suddenly burst open, and a naked Kana was revealed, dripping in sweat. "I am done!"
"You are naked!" Creige yelled back and quickly put his shirt on Kana. Kana blushed and stuck her tongue out as she wore his shirt. She forgot she had no clothes on!
Creige cut the shirt so it would fit her wings and fall down like a dress. Once she was fully dressed, he wiped the sweat from her brow and asked: "So what did you spend all this time on?"
"Hehe, come see!" Kana grinned from ear to ear and grabbed Creige's hand and wanted to pull him into the room, but Creige quickly stopped her. "Kana, are you trying to kill your husband!?"
"Hmmm?" Kana's mind went blank for a second before a thought came to mind. "Oh yeah! I forgot it's like the temperature of the sun in there. Sorry! Sorry! Hold on a second. I will be right back."
Kana walked back into the room. Creige's shirt instantly turned to ash, causing Creige to hold his forehead. He then took out another shirt from his space ring and cut the back on it, so that when Kana came back out, he could slap it onto her body.
When Kana came back out with her arms full of weapons and what looked to be errings with a bright smile Creige used some tricks and slipped the shirt onto her so no one could see her in such an indecent state. Creige was wondering if Misaki, the pervert robot, was rubbing off on his wife.
