CH 35

Name:Reborn as his Shadow Author:
The Ancient Tribe was about to start business, and Xiao Ying took Mo Jingxuan back to the company. He had to attend a shareholder meeting and planned to take the opportunity to try and persuade the primary decision-makers in the group to buy the land that had been noted down in Mo Jingxuan’s papers.

“That’s why you’re keeping us here for so long?” The meeting had only gone on for around half an hour, but Chen Biao was already looking at Xiao Ying with annoyance. “Such a large area, you really don’t know the size of your stomach.” As soon as you come into the company, you want to make such a big move, are you not worried of destroying the foundation that has been so conveniently laid down for you?

Xiao Ying had cold eyes as he pointed out the documents he had already given everyone earlier, “Why can’t I take this land? I have already analysed and listed out the advantages of obtaining it here. Mr. Chen, please read it carefully.”

Chen Biao threw the papers away, “I don’t care how well you dress up your swords, anyone with eyes can see the risks of taking that land. You may not have to worry about your future with your father’s money waiting for you at home, but please think about us old shareholders as well. Once you take this land, the capital chain will be broken and we will have no way to recover the costs for operations. Should we follow you silently to this fate? I will never agree to obtaining this land!”

Most of the shareholders nodded along with his words; they were not willing to take such a large risk, no matter the associated profit. Only one or two younger shareholders were willing to give it a try.

Xiao Ying had known that the possibility of passing his suggestion was minimal, but he hadn’t expected that under the leadership of Chen Biao, it would become such a one-sided situation. He pinched the bridge of his nose as he felt a headache coming on. There was nothing he could do to dispute the other man’s words, he had only just gained a firm foothold in the company recently, and with someone else doing their best to sway the opinion against him, the others will naturally go along with it. If he wanted to earn a steady income from this land….

It seems that his and Xuan’s careers must develop quickly.

“This meeting is over,” Xiao Ying waved his hand at them, too lazy to see them out properly.

Mo Jingxuan was standing at the door of the conference room, holding some documents tightly in his hands. He couldn’t stand to see his man being undermined by such antiques as these stubborn old men…

“Wait! I have one more topic to put forth,” Chen Biao stood up and stopped the shareholders who were leaving the room one after the other and looked at Xiao Ying as he said, “I have heard from some people below me that you often bring a young man in and out of the company to go have fun….” After a pause, Chen Biao glanced around at his audience and continued, “We have no right to interfere with the president’s affairs, but I personally am very worried about whether you, who has just come to the headquarters not long ago, can shoulder all of the company’s work alone. This is related to our job, so I have a proposal to transfer the youngest son of the Xiao family, Xiao Yixiu, back to the headquarters to assist you in your work. Brothers should be able to rely on each other, don’t you all agree?”

Everyone was stunned at his shameless words. There was not a single person present who did not understand the connotation of his words. If the two brothers could coexist peacefully, it would already be the best-case scenario. Xiao Ying and Xiao Yixiu were destined to never get along since long ago; if Xiao Yixiu came back, a choice would have to be made. Whether to support the eldest or the younger, the decision was not easy, and no one rushed to express their opinion.

Xiao Ying lowered his head to hide his smile. It seems that the shareholder Zhao Lingjun has been buying over is Chen Biao. His influence was not small, so it was a wise decision on her part; however, he acted too rashly this time and showed his tail.

Before anyone else could speak up, Xiao Ying raised his head with an angry expression on his face and got up to walk around the conference room. The fury in his voice was leaking out with each word he uttered, “Mr. Chen has a good idea. Since you doubt my ability, you want to find me a helper to soothe the anxiety in your heart. There is nothing for me to object to.” As his last word fell, the conference room was slammed shut behind him.

All the shareholders were startled by the slamming door, shaking their heads repeatedly at his action. Throwing a fit at the slightest disagreement, sure enough, he was still young and arrogant. Suppressing him was in their best interests.

Xiao Ying’s performance was outside of Chen Biao’s expectations, but he welcomed it nonetheless. He looked at the faces of the shareholders surrounding him with satisfaction and sighed, “He is still too young. If everyone here agrees, I will transfer Xiao Yixiu back to headquarters tomorrow.”

“Do what you want; let’s go.” Everyone agreed and walked out of the room, leaving Chen Biao to clean up the work he had made.

In the office, Mo Jingxuan was looking at Xiao Ying calmly as he asked, “On purpose?”

Pulling him into his lap, Xiao Ying ruffled his hair with a smile, “Of course, all I have to do in this situation is go with the flow. It doesn’t even require me to think. Liang Liang will be taking the information off his hands in a few days, so I can let him have his fun now.”

Cradling Xiao Ying’s cheeks in both hands, Mo Jingxuan kissed him firmly, “Old fox!”

“Old fox?” Xiao Ying raised his eyebrows, and his hand made its way downwards to squeeze Mo Jingxuan vigorously, “If I’m the old fox then you must be the little vixen who seduced me!”

Lifting his ass to rub against the man’s warm palm, Mo Jingxuan licked his earlobe as he murmured, “Come exercise with this little vixen, the little vixen want to grow up~ It wants to be a big vixen~.”

Xiao Ying pulled his tie impatiently, standing up with Mo Jingxuan still in his arms to lock the office door and lay him on the sofa.

Lying under the man, Mo Jingxuan panted and opened his eyes, gazing at the man who was pushing hard over him. The sweat on his lover’s body was dripping down onto his, rolling off in beads, and he frowned in dissatisfaction. He didn’t want to see his man preoccupied by even the slightest trouble; he deserved to be happy in this life!

The two of them messed around in the office, and by the time they finished, Mo Jingxuan had to be helped downstairs by Xiao Ying.

Helping him fasten his seatbelt, Xiao Ying leaned over and kissed the tired Mo Jingxuan lightly, “Xuan, I love you.” He knew that he only acted like this today because he was worried about him.

Mo Jingxuan hooked his neck and kissed back, “I love you too.”

The two entwined in the underground parking lot, but just as the fire was about to rouse in both of them, the sound of Xiao Ying’s phone dutifully doused their lust.

Reluctantly letting go of Mo Jingxuan, Xiao Ying answered the phone, “Hello?” His voice was hoarse and low, carrying with it the strong smell of sex.

Xiong Wu, on the other side of the phone, rubbed his nose in embarrassment as he reported, “I took a photo of Zhao Lingjun, she just entered a hotel with an old man. I’m sending it to you now.”

Xiao Ying hung up the phone when it rang again, this time from the notification of a message; opening it, Xiao Ying smiled in satisfaction, “Hehehe….”

Mo Jingxuan craned his head to look at it, “Chen Biao is really impatient. He couldn’t even wait to ask Zhao Lingjun to pay him back until tomorrow. Zhao Lingjun is truly working hard for the Xiao family business, I have to say I admire her a bit. I don’t think I could sacrifice myself to such a greasy man for the company. It’s fortunate that dad kicked her out early.”

Xiao Ying’s face darkened as he listened to Mo Jingxuan speak without a filter, but he quickly calmed himself and touched his head, responding simply, “This is where she is capable.”

They sent a message back to Xiong Wu asking him to continue following her and drove back home.

Two days later, Xiao Yixiu was back at headquarters. Before he could even take a seat, the company’s shareholders had already called for an impromptu meeting to meet him, with even Xiao Yao showing up.

Sitting at the bottom of the table, Xiao Yixiu looked at the shareholders glaring at him inexplicably and subconsciously turned to his father, who was also frowning in his direction, “Dad, why are you here?”

Looking at his unfilial son’s face that seemed to have no idea how he was wrong, Xiao Yao couldn’t hold back his emotions, his voice breaking as he threw down the documents in his hand towards Xiao Yixiu, “If I hadn’t come, would you have rather I come after you’d destroyed my company?!”

Xiao Yixiu picked up the papers that fell in front of him, and seeing the content, his hands shook as he argued, “Dad, I’m still your son! I would never hurt our company!”

A shareholder near him tossed a flash drive over for him to look at with a trace of annoyance in his voice, “Listen clearly, we already have all the proof and have invited specialists to insure you were not framed. There was not a single trace of forgery in any of this.”

Taking the flash drive, Xiao Yixiu had a pale face as he held it. Refusing to insert it into the computer, he turned to Xiao Ying, “Brother, I’ve never seen any of this. I haven’t done anything, I swear! I know you don’t like me, but you can’t try to pin something so serious on me just because I came back to headquarters.”

Xiao Ying didn’t even deign to look in his direction.

Another shareholder sneered, “Then putting this aside for now, we can talk about your misappropriation of public funds instead. This matter can be cleared up as long as the accounts are checked, you can’t possibly have problems with this as well?”

Xiao Yixiu trembled as he made up his mind and turned back to Xiao Yao, “Dad, I was wrong! I was just confused; I won’t do it again! Forgive me!”

Xiao Yao’s eyes were full of disappointment, “Pack up your things and come home with me immediately. From now on, you will be keeping me company and won’t have to come and work in the future.” He looked at the shareholders who were silently spectating this scene of father and son relations, “It is the Xiao family that has shown you all a joke today, I apologise.”

All the shareholders but one went to comfort him, pushing the memory under the rug, “Young people will inevitably make mistakes; this is not your fault.” They said so, but all tactfully neglected to mention anything about Xiao Yixiu staying in the company.

Chen Biao got up to persuade otherwise, though, “Young Master Yixiu is still young; it’s understandable that he got confused. Surely we can give him another chance, it was only one mistake, after all.”

“Dad—” Xiao Yixiu begged with eyes wet from tears, and Chen Biao continued to persuade.

“Ding dong,” the computer in front of Xiao Yao rang, and a second later, a photo popped up. Shown on the screen, Chen Biao was walking out of a hotel with Zhao Lingjun beside him in a friendly manner…

Xiao Yao frowned as he saw the two people in the picture, his face cold. This woman is really restless…

Mo Jingxuan and Xiao Ying had decided not to make the photo public, worried that Xiao Yao may still have some affection for her, and chose to send the picture to him privately. This way, he would not be kept in the dark or have to suffer the green field above his head being known to others.

“Shareholder Chen.” Xiao Yao moved to turn the computer around and show him exactly what he thought of his words.

“Dad.” Sitting by his side, Xiao Ying pressed the computer and shook his head silently. Rather than harming oneself eight hundred times for a mere thousand to the other, it was better to find a more suiting punishment for someone so unworthy. Men are, after all, more or less concerned about face.

Xiao Yao patted his hand, “It’s okay.” He continued to move his computer, and the photo was blown up for everyone present to see in full clarity.

Looking at Chen Biao in astonishment, it was clear to all why he was trying so hard to bring Xiao Yixiu back. It turned out he was having an affair with his mother!

Xiao Yixiu’s face flushed deeply before turning pale; he was so embarrassed to see his mother in that picture that he wanted to crawl beneath the table on the spot.

“Chen’s board of directors also participated in the corruption of the company?” A young man asked to another standing next to him as he struggled to follow the chain of events.

An old, straightforward member felt there was no point in holding back in cleaning up now and said loudly, “I have reason to suspect that Mr. Chen Biao has also been involved in this incident. We cannot tolerate anyone who has endangered the company to continue holding such a large amount of shares, and I request the president and all members of the board to cast a vote of removal to bring both shareholder Chen and Xiao Yixiu out of the company for good.”

I hope you all enjoy the early update~
