Most of them had no idea if they would win.

They could only place their hopes on President Shanks and Army Commander Legolas. 'They've saved us before, surely they can do it again right?'

None of them knew the answer to their queries, they just hoped.

And now, 2 weeks earlier than Champion Onana predicted, the Cosmic Cataclysm was here!

It was like wisps of electricity of shock were flowing through the planet.

Despite the shock of the sudden announcement, the named Commanders of the different fast response troops that were organized over the course of the preparation for the Cataclysm responded fast, gearing into action.

They gave their orders with firm authority in rapid succession.

"Activate Code Red!"

"Flood all the mini war fortresses with their assigned warriors!"

"Warm up the planetary defense machines and wait for orders!"

"Open the shelters, and commence operation Civilian Safety!"

"I want every warrior assigned to operation Civilian Safety in the streets, now! Make sure every civilian is dragged to the shelters safely before the going gets tough, any civilian death is on your heads!"

"Move your f*cking asses! Now!"

Instantly, Planet Darvis geared into action.

But their reaction was not quite original enough, Afterall, they were not the ones that were directly being confronted by a locust army of Space Bugs.

In the Giant Nak Fortress, it was an entirely different scenario of tense.

There was no convenience and comfort in war, he understood this.

The next moment, a virtual projection of his enlarged face was broadcasted across the Giant Nak fortress as he addressed all the warriors in his charge.

"Warriors, fear not about the fact if you are infected or not".

"Even I have no idea if I am infected, but I have learned not to fear about an outcome that I cannot control, I can only face what is before me directly".

"The main goal of transferring us here is to be the 1st line of defense".

"We have been compromised but we can still fulfill our goal".

He grinned. "Let's do it!"

"Let's show this overconfident Bugs that we are no pushovers!"

"Engineers, do your best to bring our war fortress back online".

"As for the warriors, do what you do best and you've been preparing for since the past 5 months and weeks, let's show these damn Bugs hell!"

"Warriors, ATTACK!" This Commander's voice boomed with power.

The next moment, from predetermined ports all over the asteroid turned giant war fortress, warriors charged out as they faced the Space Bugs bravely.

Without hesitation, the ranged warriors opened fire at the space before them as the impact hit thousands of Space Bugs that led from the front.

The Space Bugs were not idle, they retaliated.

At the same time, millions of Common Space Bugs utilized their organs as they conjured up blood and merged it together for a massive ranged attack.

They unleashed the massive wave of blood at the gigantic asteroid.

The impact rocked the Giant Nak Fortress!

Thousands of warriors died from that one attack!

A gigantic hole was created through the asteroid after that attack but it survived, yet this impact alone made a bigger dent in the minds of the warriors.

The psychological battle was already tipping towards the side of the Space Bugs, and to add fuel to the fire, the Bug Conqueror finally made an appearance.

At the very back of his army of millions, his gigantic form hovered.

For the 2nd time in his life, Commander Timbowal laid his eyes on this Cosmic Monstrosity. He was there when Champion Onana saved their lives back in Planet Titania, this was his 2nd time laying eyes on it.

While he glared at the Cosmic Monstrosity even as his heart started wavering a bit, during this time, the Common Space Bugs already closed the distance.

In their swarming numbers, they descended on the asteroid, then they wreaked havoc, total destruction!

Commander Timbowal's hands gripped his command chair as this continued, he watched as his warriors died but his eyes showed an unwillingness to admit defeat, at least not this early.

He looked at the time. 'Don't disappoint me!'

'You can do it!' He clenched his fists.

Amid his anxiety, he finally heard the soothing voice of the head of the engineering department. "Commander, we're back online!"

Commander Timbowal instantly felt like he was soaked in calming clouds.

They cleared up his tensed-up brain, he regained his confidence.

This Commander instantly entered resistance state.

"Thank you, Engineer Bates".

"If we survive, I'll personally treat you to dinner".

Then his tone switched instantly. "Activate all shield generators!"

"Activate all Special Bug Repellants!"

"Activate the Radiation Suckers!"

"Activate all our offensive turrets, let's no longer lay like turtles".

His eyes gleamed. "Let's fight a siege battle!"

After his others, all it took was just 2 seconds later and blue shimmering shields appeared across the enormous form of this giant asteroid.

The shield blocked the entrance of the Space Bugs outside while trapping those that were already in, in. Then the next moment, a special green mist was burst into the air, a special mixture from George as it affected the Bugs.

All the Space Bugs trapped in here were weakened the next moment.

Then what followed was the Radiation Suckers. As soon as these powerful machines like vacuums were activated, they sucked all radiation from the body of the common Space Bugs that were trapped here, weakening them further.

Then this was when the offense started, the offensive turrets roared to life.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

All it took was 11 seconds, all the Space Bugs trapped in here were wiped out. The shield briefly disappeared, letting other Space Bugs in before closing up again, trapping another set of Space Bugs in.

The sequence repeated itself, another bunch of Space Bugs were obliterated.

This could not last long though, this was because in the next set of Space Bugs that were trapped, the Special Space Bugs finally made their entry.

The setup instantly became much more complicated and chaotic.

Commander Timbowal remained firm though. "Attack like your life depends on it because it does, let us make this worth it!"

They attacked and defended with gusto.

A minute after the announcement, while the civilians were still panicking as they were evacuated, they started seeing bright red flashes in the skies.

The war of the Cosmic Cataclysm already started in space.

In their meeting room, Champion Onana looked at the skies with a stern look on his face. "They are really here". He muttered.

"What's the plan?" President Shanks asked. "Legolas is not here".

Champion Onana looked at him. "You do your best to contact him".

"As for the rest of us, we mount our first line of defense".

"It is either us or them".

As he spoke, this Champion's blood was already burning hot.

"Berserker, let's show these damn bugs how different we are".
