Chapter 475 Battle Against Tarmac!



Legolas was so incensed that he could not wait to see this Demon dead.

To him, fighting the conventional way would take too long and was why he brought out the Positron Rifle right away. His intention was to blast this Demon into smithereens, riding the Underworld of an existence this broken.

"Filthy Demon!" Legolas roared as he aimed with the Rifle.

"Army Commander, making a lot of noise will attract other Demons!" Daemon warned but he was just a fraction too late.

BOOM…!

The Positron Rifle boomed to life.

The Transcendent Punisher didn't shoot a concentrated blast of atomic energy, despite his rage, Legolas was aware of Warp Prime's presence. He did not want to blast his own contracted beast to smithereens in a fit of rage.

Despite his rage, he exhibited a great deal of self-control.

Instead of 1 large encompassing positron shot, the Transcendent Punisher divides the attack into multiple smaller positrons with a ridiculous shot rate.

The Transcendent Punisher could unleash up to 10 positron shots in a second. And in this state of extreme self-control, Legolas was able to control every individual shot to hit the Demon at just right where he wanted it.

At this rate, there was no hopes of the Demon dodging, or so he thought.

"Intruders!"

"HISS…!!!" The Demon hissed as he exploded, turning into an afterimage.

BOOM…!

The movement of this Demon induced a sonic boom!

Legolas was shocked but he improvised instantly. 'If you dodge the 1st second shots, there's no way you can keep it up for 5 seconds'.

The Transcendent Punisher blasts shots for 5 straight seconds.

Honing his concentration to a peak, Legolas followed his instincts as he pointed the Positron Rifle at the afterimages, turning this cave upside down.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The sounds of the positron shots hitting reverberated like thunder!

Despite the incredible damage that was dealt to this cave, not a single shot managed to scratch the Demon's skin, Legolas was flabbergasted.

Whoosh!

Feeling the wind blow, he felt goosebumps as his hair stood on end.

He was unable to dodge, in the end, it was his contracted beast who saved him. Predator's primal beast instincts that were already honed through numerous large-scale wars warned him on time as he jumped in to save his master.

"ROAR…!!!"

Predator's claws collided with that of the Upper Demon, Tarmac. The impact was like that of 2 planets colliding as the shockwave blasted out with force.

The shockwave brought Legolas back to reality.

'This is a Grade B Demon, damn, I underestimated him!'

His battle against the first Upper Demon skewed his evaluation of the Upper Demon's strength. For a moment, he forgot that he avoided clashing with the Upper Demon head-on in order to freeze it into an ice cube and tame it instead.

Deciding to clash with this one head-on without even researching was foolish on his part, he recognized his mistake instantly.

'Beast taming, that's my strength, not head-on battles!' Despite making the mistake already, it was not too late to adapt.

Legolas adapted on the spot as he threw the Positron Rifle up.

Getting the hint, Core Protector Daemon grabbed the weapon.

Holding this weapon, he seemed to feel the heavy history behind it. 'This is the weapon that the Army Commander used to blast Clown, my best friend, I better live up to expectations and use it well'.

He could still remember that day vividly like it was yesterday.

Instantly, he entered a heightened state of mind and concentration.

Legolas did not just give up the weapon, he improvised.

Again, after dying, Legolas improved in another aspect as a Summoner, his base control level with Predator increased by another 5%.

After the clash with Predator, force of inertia kicked in, the Demon may be fast but he could not simply beat the laws of physics to retreat instantly. This was all the time in the world that Legolas needed to counterattack.

Instantly after he fused with his beast, he charged again.

At point-blank range, the Demon could not stop it as he raised his lean arms and claws to block. His claws collided with Predator's tusks with a bam!

BOOM!

This time, it was not even close, the Demon was overpowered.

Coughing blood, this Demon flew back after being hit by this attack, leaving Legolas stunned. 'It's that weak?'

His eyes widened in understanding. 'Speed is its power then'.

'Damn, I didn't even do my homework, I should have asked my Demon'.

This new discovery didn't change much of his plan though. Like Predator, seeing his master suddenly charge in, Warp Prime was left in a daze.

This beast was taken on a ride through previously hidden memories.

Legolas did not have the time to let the Dark Warg fully recover his memories though, he could recover them later, now was the time to fight.

He charged towards Warp Prime while giving Daemon instructions.

"Speed is his power but he's weak, shoot rapid shots to harass it".

"Wait for my attack!"

Daemon didn't need his reminder, this Necromancer already ignored everything else in the world. As the Demon coughed blood, flying through the air, he hit the trigger with all seriousness, prompting this Rifle to life.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The sound of positron shots moving through the air reverberated like drum beats of war, the sounds were adrenaline-inducing.

During this time, Legolas charged close to Warp Prime then without slowing down, he directly charged straight into this beast.

The sound of the airspace being shredded apart reverberated.

With Daemon keeping the Upper Demon occupied, he barely reacted when the Darkness Demon appeared behind him. For the first time since his birth, this Demon felt his scales stand on end as he felt goosebumps but it was too late.

BOOM…!

The air was shredded apart including the Demon.

The Demon was shredded to pieces as molten fire flew everywhere.

For a moment, everything quietened down as Daemon looked. "Is it dead?"

"No! Block the entrance!"

Predator's incredible instincts detected the faint resonance of life first as Legolas commanded but it was too late, the Demon moved like the flash itself!

Whoosh!

This reaction showed one thing, Tarmac was a coward!

Feeling so close to death, this Demon dared not hesitate as using his incredible speed, he bolted towards the exit of this cave to escape and survive.

"Hihihih!" The Demon chuckled in an eerie but maniacal manner.

"You dare try to kill this Demon?"

"You will die!"

"All of you will die!"

"I will torture you in so many creative ways you'll be begging to your god!'

Without hesitation, Legolas bolted after it as Daemon followed but he was already worried. 'If he escapes, our cover will be blown'.

'Even if my tamed Upper Demon intercepts and kills it outside, our cover will still be blown. Damn, I bet our cover is blown already after so much sound!'

Legolas was desperate. 'What should I do?'

This was when the inexplicable happened.

"Hihihi!" As Tarmac giggled in an eerie manner, from the decorative walls of the tunnel that led to his cave, something suddenly squirmed to life.

It looked like a blob, an ethereal blue blob.

Legolas' eyes widened. 'An energy lifeform!'

Before Tarmac could react, this energy lifeform rapidly accelerated, slamming into his body as it merged with him. This Demon's eyes widened in horror the next moment but it was already too late.

The next moment, the demon's body started glowing in a blue color.

"Argggh…!!!" Tarmac screamed in pain as his body was taken over.

As soon as the energy lifeform took over, he became a demon to the Demon himself!

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Legolas felt his heart freeze as this Demon's lean body levitated in the air while being squeezed to death like a cloth after being watched by the drycleaner.

This energy being strangled Tarmac with his own body.

The sounds of bones cracking reverberated audibly, the sounds of flesh squelching, rubbing against bone, the disturbing sound of bone rubbing against bone reverberated as Tarmac was squeezed into a bloody puddle.

He died the most gruesome of deaths, his last screams were squeezed out of his throat. His eyeballs were the remnants to show that this Demon once lived.

Legolas looked at the energy lifeform who already came out of the blood puddle with vigilance. "Who are you?"

"I am Bam Bam, Tarmac's victim of 45 years".

"Demons are already entering this cave".

"They're alerted".

"You won't survive alone".

The next moment, the energy being entered the walls of the cave, concealing itself in as a tiny world was created inside. "Come in if you want to survive".

"…" Legolas stared silently.

"It's either you gamble and trust me or die to the Demons coming".

Legolas directed one glance at Daemon, then he cursed under his breath before jumping into the tiny world that opened in the wall, Daemon did the same.

The next moment, as Demons charged into the cave, they faded in the wall.

The screams and shrieks of Demons reverberated loudly in the cave.
