Chapter 111 - It's Love or Not, Only Time Could Tell.

Yue Xiang asked her again to perceive what she just said.

Tugging at her hair, Yue Wan gave a darting glance at Yue Xiang and stated her fear.

"Father isn't there and you will remain here. What could I possibly do there all by myself? Sit alone in a cold place, wishing that I had someone beside me? I need to be here where my family is," The memory of her father's death and her loneliness took over her body and the feelings of her desolation in her previous life flashed before her eyes.

"Please, don't make me be alone,"  Yue Wan begged in a fragile voice.

Xiao Hua felt overwhelmed by the thought of being alone. The sadness, bitterness, and pain that he experienced before started to take the shape of Yue Wan as he thought about what happened to him after his parents died.

In order to redirect her thoughts, he placed a plate full of food before her with a little force.

'Tud. ...'

"Miss Wan, the food will turn cold soon, so eat it while it's still warm." A glimmer of warmth flashed in his eyes of Ye Xian (Xiao Hua).

She looked up at him with a smile that came from the depths of her heart: "Thank you, Mr. Ye."

In her heart, she thanked him for waking her up from the nightmare that had started to consume her again.

After their kissing incident, Yue Wan now had a clear view of her feelings, and she now knew that she liked him and felt attracted to him, but whether it's love or not, only time could tell.

Taking a bite of the breakfast, her eyes widen in surprise. "This!"

"Is it bad? This is my first time preparing breakfast after such a long time. I might have lost my touch." A flustered Ye Xian attempted to take the plate away from her in-case it tasted bad.

Yue Wan grasped his hand and brought the plate back in front of her. "It tastes amazing!! I just thought that this taste was very familiar."

The rest of the word echoed in her mind: 'It's so similar to his preparation.'

In that past, after her brother forcefully married her to him, she was tormented day and night under him physically and mentally. Since she was marked as Xiao Ran's killer at that time, there was never a tranquil day in the Xiao household. Be that as it may, all of a sudden, his personality suddenly transformed one day, preparing food daily by hand and feeding her.

At first, she made some fuse over it, but later she gave up fighting and ate whatever he had prepared for her. But she never found out the reason for his abrupt change in character until her death.. ...

However, that taste still remained on her tongue to this day. The flavour of burned, hard, and sour food. However, Yue Wan didn't suspect anything as Ye Xian said it was his first time making this.

Unfortunately, Yue Xiang tongue wasn't used to that taste, and in the wake of taking a bite, he spat it out.

"This is not a breakfast; this is poison!" He fumed.

Ye Xian scoffed off his remarks as he was concentrating most of the time on serving his Wild cub, "What juice you want? Orange or Apple."

The room turned icy cold.

Yue Wan, with a bead of sweat rolling down her face, attempted to pacify her cold brother. In a sweet voice, she said: "Since my hand is all healed, shall I prepare your favourite rice porridge? Dear Brother?..."

Her lips turned into a small pout and her large eyes shone with a hopeful expectation, "Please, Let me cook for you two, Big Brother."

How could Yue Xiang say no to his cute sister?...

He held his head down in defeat, "As you wish."

With a delightful smile on her face, she walked to the kitchen.

Ye Xian (Xiao Hua), with his palm on his chest, exclaimed happily: "My wife is so cute. I want to spoil her!"

Yue Xiang was extremely annoyed at his brainless buddy; he threw his plate, filled with the breakfast, right at Ye Xian's face.

Ye Xiang dogged it, yet his adoring eyes never left Yue Wan as she entered the kitchen. His legs automatically followed her as he thought to himself: 'I will go wherever you go, my Wild cub.'

------

Inside the kitchen...

Yue Wan gathered all the ingredients for the rice porridge.

In a large pot, she brought the vegetable stock and rice to boil.

"Miss. Wan, you are quite skilled in cooking," a low magnetic voice came from behind her.

Yue Wan looked at him as she covered the pot with a lid. She replied; "I love cooking, but dad won't allow me into the kitchen." She gave a gentle smile thinking about her overprotective father.

Ye Xian adjusted his glasses as a light flashed through them. His little mouth split into a grin, "If I have a daughter like you, then I would be like that too."

Yue Wan pursed her lips and lightly laughed. She inwardly thought that he was acting like a daddy.

Suddenly she thought about her baby, the corner of her mouth dropped for a moment before she went back to gently smiling.

"Mr.Ye, If. ... you had trouble cooking daily, you can join me...I mean us in the Yue Villa. Well if you don't mind."

Yue Wan turned her head back to cooking in order to hide her face, which rapidly becoming red.

"Are you inviting me?" Ye Xian stared at her. His eyes gradually deepened. He wanted to hug her and suck and nip at her lips so as to vent the emotions running in his heart. He stood close to her back with no space between them.

"Why? Why you invite a mere worker like me? Wan." He huskily said into her ears.

Yue Wan: "You saved us."

Yue Wan's face was so red that it looked like she was dripping blood and her lips involuntarily curved up into a small smile.

Seeing her red neck, Ye Xian bit her ear and very slowly and gently whispered: "Liar."

His hand almost went up from her waist to grasp her soft and sensitive bosom. He couldn't stop himself from possessing her right there in the kitchen.

Thankfully, someone interrupted them at the most inopportune moment.
