Chapter 69 - Insolence

It was past midnight by the time Jinhee had returned to her mansion. Although such timing was considered very late for a teenager, it was better than dealing with the Lee family.

After all the times Jinhee had stopped Jinkyung in her attempts in this life, surely Jinkyung was planning some ways to retaliate against her.

Due to butterfly effect, it had become hard for her to predict the future events, and she was afraid of falling into something vicious laid out by her opponents. Extra vigilance had to be maintained.

Lee Dowon was returning home tomorrow, and the Lee family laid low with their plotting when he arrived at here. Therefore, she did not need to worry about tomorrow.

To her surprise, after the butler opened the door, the light to the main room was turned on, and all the members of the Lee family was present there. This assured Jinhee that something was going on.

As the door behind her closed, nonchalance replaced her current expression, and she ignored their presence. There was no need of her to play along the drama they have created.

"STOP THERE!" Lee Minjoon, her so-called father, yelled out as she was about to walk past the couch.

Nonetheless, turning a deaf ear to Minjoon's order, Jinhee proceeded forward when Jinkyung gripped Jinhee's left arm tightly— her nails digging into Jinhee's skin.

The mask of nonchalance did not come off as Jinhee slapped Jinkyung's hand away with her right hand, making sure that it was harshly done.

After a day filled with studying, she was exhausted, and now, she had to deal with these petty dramas. If she had known this, she wouldn't have returned home.

"Don't touch me," Jinhee voiced out warningly to Jinkyung, and then, turning her attention towards Minjoon, she questioned, "And what do you need?"

Walking closer to Jinhee, Minjoon rebuked, "Is that an attitude you show your father!?"

Jinhee internally scoffed.

'Father? By what process?'

Rolling her eyes, Jinhee voiced out, "Is that all? Look, father, I am sleepy at this moment, and if you're all energetic, then you can jump around or do whatever you want."

Jinhee was not aware how, all of a sudden, she had the courage to use this attitude. Nonetheless, what she can confirm is that this felt way more refreshing than cowering away.

"How disobedient you have grown recently! Proper punishment should be given to you! Having a sugar daddy, and now, resorting to such an attitude? It seems that you need much more disciplining." His tone showed the disgust he felt.

He did not care about the fact that Jinhee had a sugar daddy or not; It was merely his reputation that he was concerned on. Even if one was pretending to be a father, the one should know better acting skills.

Surely, Jinkyung had fed her father lies and probably added some fabricated evidence along with it. If it was in her previous life, Jinhee might have been hurt, but now, she found it annoying.

What does Jinkyung think she can achieve by doing this?

"Yeah, so what if I had a sugar daddy or two? How does that concern you?" Jinhee sneered at Lee Minjoon.

"Such insolence!" Lee Minjoon raised his hand.
