Chapter 78 - Okinawa

The beach in Okinawa looked absolutely beautiful to one's sight. The weather today was pleasant, and warm breeze passed by, bringing comfort to Jinhee as she stared at the crew.

Fans stood there, yelling out their support towards Jaehyun whilst some held banners at their hands. The song was a collaboration with Akane Watanabe, a popular Japanese soloist.

Her voluptuous body was capable of attracting many males out there regardless of their ages, and her seductive charms succeeded in turning multiple crazy for her.

Nonetheless, in her last life, Akane and Jaehyun was caught being in the same hotel room. The reporters caught the sight of the hickeys on her neck, and this leads to rumours on how Jaehyun had underage sex with Akane.

Jaehyun's family did not have much influence in it since the rumour was created in Japan, and their power in Japan was large enough to stop the rumours from spreading completely.

Although the matters were clarified later on, the stain on Jaehyun's reputation could not be properly wiped off. Recalling what state Akane reached in her last life, Jinhee felt shivers down her back.

She didn't want to think about that incident.

If Jinhee could prevent the how close Akane was getting to Jaehyun today, then, rumours between them will not start up, and as for tomorrow, she had her own sets of plan.

As Jaehyun walked towards the calm sea, wearing a lonely expression, Jinhee could see how he was at acting. His eyes were enough to convey the emotions he wanted to show.

Watching Akane holding a bottle of water and towel, Jinhee immediately rushed closer to her. Today was not Akane's day for shooting, but she showed up to, in her words, observe how things were going.

If Akane wiped the water from Jaehyun body whilst being dressed in a swimsuit, the reporters will most definitely cook up an interesting story about it.

With a smile plastered on her face, Jinhee looked down and pretended to be shy. Forwarding the notebook and the pen in her hand towards Akane, in Japanese, she stuttered out, "Y-You're s-so b-beautiful, A-Akane. D-Do y-you m-mind s-signing t-this f-for m-me?"

In her last life, in order to know the meaning behind Jaehyun's Japanese songs, Jinhee learned some basic words in Japanese.

Although reporters did not dare post the contents or spoilers of the upcoming music video, they were enthusiastic to find other pieces of gossip. It would not look good on Akane if she were to reject Jinhee.

"Thank you for supporting me," Akane said with a forced smile, and taking the pen and notepad from Jinhee hurriedly, she signed it quickly.

'Chaewon, please reach Jaehyun before Akane does.'

Handing over the notepad to Jinhee back, Akane was about to go to Jaehyun when Chaewon made her way to Jaehyun first and handed him the towel to dry himself.

Jinhee sighed in relief.

"T-Thanks about the autograph, Akane," Jinhee said, moving away from her.

The second part of the shooting would happen when the sun would set, and therefore, a break of one and half hour was provided to everyone. Nonetheless, this ninety minutes were enough to create fierce gossips.

Seeing that Chaewon was busy discussing some matters with Myunghoon, Jinhee ran towards Jaehyun and saw that Akane was about to talk to him.

Before Akane could pronounce the words, Jinhee voiced out, "Jaehyun, are you free right now?"

Turning away from Akane to look at Jinhee, Jaehyun nodded. Under Akane's intense glare, nervousness brewed within Jinhee as she tried to pretend obliviousness towards it.

"I-I have heard of some good local restaurants around here. Want to accompany me?" Jinhee glanced to see what Akane's reaction was; It seemed that her glare was only getting fiercer.

"Okay," Jaehyun agreed, "Let me get dressed."

Jinhee did not have the courage to stare at Akane's expression.

'Trust me, Akane, you'd be grateful that I'm stopping the interactions between both of you.'

°°°

There were still fifteen more minutes for the shooting to begin. Jinhee and Jaehyun walked beside each other on the beach. The sound of waves reached their ears, and it seemed that Jaehyun's fans respected him enough to give him privacy.

"About Akane, you should try to be careful of her. She doesn't have good intentions towards you," Jinhee voiced out, breaking the silence between them.

Turning towards Jinhee, Jaehyun halted in his steps and asked, "Are you worried about it? Could it be that you get jealous?"

Before Jinhee could answer, she could hear the staffs calling for Jaehyun. Nonetheless, Jaehyun stayed rooted in his place whilst staring at Jinhee as if he was waiting for an answer for her.

"This has been postponed for too long. Tonight at eleven, this exact place— I promise, I'll give the answer to your questions then. You should go for now."

"Alright," Jaehyun stated before walking away as the staffs call for him grew louder.

Watching his back, Jinhee let out a sigh.

She didn't understand when or how Jaehyun fell for her. The incidents in this life of hers was completely messed up, and since she couldn't figure out anything about it, she gave up thinking.

One day, maybe she'd get answers to all of her questions, and she was in anticipation for that day to come. Sometimes, she wondered what if it was all a dream.

Situations were going extremely smooth in this life. What if she woke up one day and found herself in that pathetic state of her last life?

That thought scared her; She did not want this to be a dream.
