Chapter 105 - That's settled

After both of them finished eating their breakfast, the waitress from earlier took their plates and bowls away. For a restaurant which had really low customers, the food was very much satisfactory.

"What is it that you wanted to talk on?" Jinhee questioned once the waitress left.

A melancholic expression flashed in Jaehyun's eyes before he spoke out, "It's regarding Yejun."

Staring at him silently, Jinhee waited for him to continue further. She was curious on what was it about Yejun that made Jaehyun invite her here, and a part of her also wanted to know how the man she once loved was like.

"His death was mysterious. Actually, to this day, his body was not found, and the one who kidnapped him sent us a photo of his dead body," Jaehyun spoke out.

He, then, continued, "No traces of his kidnapper could be found, and the last time anyone had seen him was at the ball he attended."

"You want me to help you with everything I know?" Jinhee questioned, pointing to herself.

For the boy who was there for her when she was alone, she had no problem in aiding to find out his kidnapper.

Jaehyun nodded.

"Was there anything odd you noticed about him or something?" Jaehyun questioned.

Four years is enough to make one not clearly remember what happened, and her memories of meeting Yejun was turning vague as time passed by. Jinhee tried to recall every single detail regarding Yejun.

"I don't know if this helps or not, but when I met him for the last time, he said few words to me. I don't exactly remember what it was; It was along the line that implied it was his last time meeting me," Jinhee said after thinking for a few seconds.

"At that time, I thought it was because he did not want to be at the corner with me and break whatever we had between us."

"Was there anything more?" Jaehyun questioned expectantly.

"After that, I saw him being pulled by a man to somewhere, and he did not appear to be happy about it. I wanted to go after him, but before that, someone blocked my way," Jinhee voiced out.

"Can you recognise that man if I show you some pictures?" Jaehyun asked, sounding hopeful. It was as if in the midst of a dry desert someone had found a drop of water.

Although Jinhee wasn't not so sure, she, nonetheless, nodded. There was no harm in trying it out, and she might remember the face.

"That's settled then; I'll come over to your place tonight then!"

"Sure, but I wouldn't want to get your hopes up. I might even fail to recognise," Jinhee voiced out, looking down. She did not want to give him any type of false hope.

"Anything is better than nothing," Jaehyun replied.

"We should be heading out by now," Jinhee said, getting up from the chair.

"That's right. Do you have somewhere to go or will be heading out to the hotel?" Jaehyun asked.

"I'll roam around and see if there's anything interesting. Don't worry. I'm decent in Japanese and won't get lost," Jinhee said with a slight smile on her face.

"Alright then, just call me if you need anything."

After both of them parted their ways, Jinhee had decided to pay the Min family a visit. After thinking for a while last night, Jinhee decided on what to do.

Moreover, she also wanted to check up on that half-brother of hers, as she was concerned on whether or not he created any new trouble.

Clicking on the doorbell, Jinhee waited for them to come and open the door for her. Unlike the first time, she felt no nervousness this time around and quite decisive.

As the door in front of her opened, Jinhee spoke out, "Sorry for showing up suddenly. I think—"

"Welcome in, Noona 1  ." Older sister, used by males.
