Chapter 133 - Eccentric

Two minutes— That is how long the silence remained before Taehee burst out into fits of laughter. Hearing Taehee's laugh made Jinhee speechless.

Once again, she was tricked by Han Taehee.

After directing an intense glare towards Taehee, Jinhee crossed her arms over her chest and turned towards the other way in order look outside of the window.

She was wrong to think that she could hold a civil conversation with someone like Han Taehee. That girl was full of jokes!

Looking at Lee Jinhee, a melancholic expression crossed at Taehee's eyes.

'It seems like you're still not ready for it, my little squirrel.'

°°°

The grand mansion of the Han family succeeded in astonishing Jinhee. Everything around the mansion was arranged neatly, and the servants bowed politely as they saw Taehee walking inside.

Everything was carried out in an orderly manner, and none of the servants showed any signs of slacking off or laziness.

An air of elegance surrounded the mansion, and this put an invisible pressure upon Lee Jinhee, making her feel out of place.

Although both Han Taehee and her were from an affluent family, the difference in status between them was very much noticeable.

Taehee held her shoulder as both of them walked, and none of the servants dared to stare at them longer than necessary although they were curious about Jinhee.

They have not seen the girl with Han Taehee before and was surprised to be see being bought at the mansion for Han Taehee rarely bought anyone along with her.

Jinhee's attention was captivated by the garden around the mansion. Fresh flowers of various colours and types were grown in them, and a pleasant scent wafted off them, making one feel contented.

"You like the garden? If so, then we can take a walk here later," Taehee spoke out.

Turning her head away from the eye-catching sight, Jinhee looked at Taehee. A radiant, carefree smile was on Taehee's face.

"I won't refuse then," Jinhee replied. She flashed a big, bright smile had Han Taehee.

As she felt happy today, Han Taehee was not that irritating to her, and Lee Jinhee did not want to avoid Taehee today.

One of the servants held open the  door to the mansion, and both of them walked into the mansion.

Looking around, Jinhee took in the appearance of her surroundings. The mansion was intricately and neatly decorated from the inside.

Golden chandelier hung from the ceiling, lighting the entire room, and other small lights was placed all over the ceiling in order to illuminate the room.

A grand staircase that led to the top floor was present inside the room, and at various part of the room were vases. Inside the vases was red coloured flowers.

The maids and butlers stood in front of them— in a line— and as Jinhee and Taehee walked past them, they bowed politely.

Jinhee wasn't used to such situation, and, feeling awkward, she stared at the golden tiled floor. Taehee, on the other hand, was not bothered by this for she was used to it.

A senior butler appeared in front of Taehee, and after bowing, he voiced out, "Young Lady Taehee, you're back home. Should I arrange a room for this guest?"

Jinhee noticed that the butler did not try to ask about her or give her any kind of offending stare. The butler indeed was very much professional.

"Yes, you can arrange the guest room for her— the one closest to mine," Taehee spoke out, "Is Mom home though?"

"Yes, Mistress is home," The butler answered.

Nodding, Taehee walked away whilst supporting Jinhee along with her. As Taehee led her to the room in the corner, Jinhee stared around at everything in awe.

Taehee stopped walking when both of them faced a brown door, and turning the knob, Taehee opened the door.

"Don't be scared," Taehee mumbled to her.

Nervousness filled Jinhee as she entered into the room along with Taehee. In her mind, Jinhee was expecting to meet an elegant and refined lady with a cold personality.

Looking around the room, Lee Jinhee found it looking very cozy, and it radiated warmth. On the red carpet, four couch was placed, and sitting on top of that couch was a female, who looked to be in late twenties.

'That was her mom? She was very young looking!'

The door closed behind them as both of them walked inside— the sound notifying the woman of their arrival.

Without turning back, the lady voiced out, "Yah! Han Taehee, didn't I say you to make less noise when you walk in? For you, I'd have to redo it again!"

Hearing her accent made Jinhee surprised. This was nowhere near the elegance she expected, and watching closely, Jinhee noticed that she was knitting something.

"Why are you trying the impossible, mom? You know, you can never do it," Taehee retorted whilst rolling her eyes. Taehee's words made Jinhee felt more shocked.

"Yah! What did you just say, Han Taehee?" The woman voiced out whilst placing the material in her hand on the glass table.

Turning back, the woman glared at Han Taehee, and instead of finding her to be a refined woman, Lee Jinhee found her to be childish.

Her face showed signs of youth, and her hair was tied into a ponytail. She wore a casual lavender t-shirt. Like Taehee, her mother was a very beautiful lady as well.

With her appearance, Jinhee would never think that she was the wife to the wealthiest man in South Korea. There was no air of coldness or arrogance around her.

Noticing Lee Jinhee, a surprised expression crossed over her eyes, and she immediately curved her lips into a bright smile.

"My mom can be eccentric. Don't be too frightened," Taehee whispered to her.

Getting down from the couch, the woman ran towards her— an action that surprised Lee Jinhee— and standing in front of her, the woman stared at her from head to toe.

"Such a cute girl!" The woman commented, and Jinhee blinked multiple times in surprise.

She did not expect the woman to approach her in such a friendly way, and awkward on how to respond, Jinhee showed her a smile.

Glancing towards Han Taehee, the woman showed disapproval and questioned, "Where did you meet such a cute girl, Han Taehee, and why did you not tell me about her?"

"That's because I don't her to break friendship with me due to you. She's already too distant with me," Taehee mumbled.

Raising her hand, the woman held Taehee's ear and twisted it with a glare directed at Han Taehee.

"What did you just say, Han Taehee?" The woman questioned.

Watching both of their interaction, Jinhee couldn't help but start laughing. It was too amusing to watch both of them.
