Chapter 138 - Shaved Ice

Watching the room before her, Lee Jinhee was stunned, and her mouth let out a soft gasp on how beautiful the room was.

"Impressive, isn't it?" Taehee voiced out as she leaned against the door.

Lee Jinhee just nodded.

On the top floor of the Han Mansion was the large swimming pool. Three white crystal chandelier hung above the aqua blue water.

A glass door was placed at one side of the room, and the night sky could be seen from it. It appeared that a balcony was connected with the glass door.

The floor beneath her was in a shade of light blue, and flower vases was placed at each corner of the room. Chairs were placed at one side of the room, and a glass table was placed in between of them.

Everything inside the room looked luxurious and expensive, and Jinhee had a hard time taking her attention from the scene. After all, like many, she enjoyed beautiful things.

"There's no fun in watching it. Let's take a swim," Taehee voiced out as she pulled at Lee Jinhee's hand.

As Taehee walked forward, Jinhee did not move, and noticing that, Taehee turned back and stared at Jinhee.

"What's the matter, Jinhee-ah?" Taehee questioned.

"Han Taehee, if you have forgotten, I'm still using the crutches," Lee Jinhee spoke out.

"Ah! That's right," Taehee spoke out, "It would look bad if I was the only one to swim as well."

"No, it's alright. I don't mind watching you—"

"I have got an idea! Let's do this then!" Taehee exclaimed suddenly.

°°°

The door to the room opened, and Han Taehee stepped into the room with two glasses of shaved ice in her hand.

The shaved ice was coloured in shades of orange and red, making it look attractive in one's eyes. Han Taehee's face had big smile on it whilst she held one of the glass towards Jinhee.

Somewhat surprised, Jinhee questioned, "How did you find shaved ice at this time of the day?"

"I had it planned," Taehee voiced out— adding a wink at the end.

The air in the room was warm, unlike the cold night breeze, and therefore, there were low chances of them getting a cold.

Walking towards the glass table, Taehee placed the two glasses of shaved ice on it. Then, she helped Jinhee to walk towards the swimming pool.

Taehee slowly supported Jinhee as she sat down on the dry platform around the swimming pool, and taking out her legs, Jinhee dipped them inside the lukewarm water.

Bringing the glasses shaved ice from the table, Taehee handed one over to Jinhee whilst she sat down beside her, holding her glass of shaved ice.

Jinhee placed her glass of shaved ice on her left side, and lowering her spoon, she scooped up some of the ice-based dessert.

The sweet yet slightly sour taste of the shaved ice tasted good inside her mouth, and looking down at the water  beneath her foot, Jinhee slowly moved her feet— occasionally wincing due to the pain.

"This feels nice, doesn't it? I usually do this when I have something bothering me," Taehee voiced out. A small smile sat upon her face.

Lee Jinhee nodded.

"Taeho said that you'll be staying with us for a month or two," Taehee voiced out, "Feel comfortable and treat this as your own home the entire time."

"Hmm," Jinhee replied.

There were many questions Jinhee wanted to ask Taehee, but she did not know whether or not they would be appropriate.

After all, she does not have any close relationship with Han Taehee, and inquiring about her is not something she has the right to.

"The current expression on face shows that you want to say something but you're holding yourself back," Taehee voiced out.

Shocked that Taehee was able to read, Jinhee turned her head to look at the smiling girl beside her with widened eyes.

"Come on, don't make that expression. Didn't anybody tell you that you're too easy to read?" Taehee raised her eyebrows.

"I'm afraid that you're wrong, Han Taehee-ssi. As a matter of fact, I am not thinking of anything at this moment and have nothing to ask you about," Lee Jinhee voiced out.

"Jinhee-ah, don't be too shy," Taehee spoke out, "Just ask away."

"As I have mentioned before, I have nothing to ask you about," Jinhee replied.

"Let me take a guess then," Taehee spoke out.

Pressing both of her lips tightly— causing for them to form a thin line— Taehee scanned Jinhee's expression intently. The entire time, Taehee stared at Jinhee with a bored expression.

"It's about me," Taehee voiced out, and catching something in Jinhee's expression at that moment, Taehee exclaimed, "It's regarding Taeho and me, right?!"

Watching the astonished expression that crossed over Jinhee's face, Taehee knew that she was correct, and a proud smile formed on her face.

Seeing the smile on Taehee's face, Jinhee crossed her arms over her chest and voiced out, "It's not that."

Jinhee can't let Taehee think that her thoughts were easy to figure out although she was curious to know many things regarding Taeho and Taehee.

"There's no use in acting stubborn, Jinhee-ah," Taehee said, "After all, this could be your only chance to ask about everything you want to know about if."
