Chapter 152 - Lame excuse

'What a lame excuse!'

Han Taehyun let out a chuckle and said, "You don't need to seem anxious and awkward about it. You can touch my hair whenever you want to. After all, I don't mind and actually like it."

Lee Jinhee sat down on the bed properly and expressed, "I don't need to do it again."

"So, what is your judgement regarding my hair?" Han Taehyun questioned whilst he arched his eyebrows.

Sitting down on the bed beside Lee Jinhee, Han Taehyun made sure to keep an appropriate distance between the both of them.

Facing Han Taehyun, Jinhee voiced out, "Your hair seems alright. However, the texture is rough, and it appears that you either don't own a comb or don't know how to brush your hair."

Raising his hand, Han Taehyun pushed his hair back, and as he removed his hand, strands of hair fell upon his forehead again. A mischievous smile sat upon his face.

Han Taehyun winked.

"Girls find me more charming this way though," Han Taehyun commented.

Lee Jinhee scoffed and questioned, "How would you know how the girls prefer you when you have dressed as a girl?"

Han Taehyun questioned, "You don't think that I dressed up as a girl for my entire life, right?"

Creases appeared between both of Jinhee's eyebrows as she spoke out, "You didn't? With the way you act like a girl perfectly, I thought you pretended to be a girl for almost your entire life."

Hint of teasing was visible in Lee Jinhee's eyes whilst she stared at Han Taehyun.

Arrogance filled Han Taehyun's eyes whilst he voiced out, "Some people are just born with talent. They don't need much effort in perfecting skills."

"And your talent is to be able to act like a girl perfectly?" Lee Jinhee raised one of her eyebrows whilst her eyes mirrored the amusement she felt.

She then added, "Don't you think that you were supposed to be a girl but then some type of genetic mutation just happened and due to that, you're born as a male?"

"I'm absolutely fine with my gender. It's just that I'm versatile in a wide range of things, and acting like a female is just a piece of cake for me," Han Taehyun voiced.

Crossing her left leg over her right one, Lee Jinhee shrugged her shoulders casually and spoke out, "Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night."

"These days, you've become a lot more fluent with your words," Han Taehyun commented, "Unlike how you were at the beginning. Back then, you're scared and wary of me."

Lee Jinhee scoffed.

She recalled those moments. When she was reborn in the beginning, she was afraid of Han Taehyun for his connection and influence was widespread. Getting on his bad side could have been detrimental for her.

However, as she became reassured that the male won't do anything to her, Lee Jinhee gained courage to voice out her true thoughts to him and act rudely towards the boy.

Lee Jinhee had noticed that she was getting closer with the boy gradually, and as time passed by, she started to feel less comfortable around the boy. Even though Lee Jinhee wanted to protect her heart, Han Taehyun's methods of entering into it wasn't something she is able to prevent— at least not until now.

"I wasn't scared of you. It's just that I had a feeling that you're a creep in our first meeting and, therefore, wanted to prevent you in order to not gain a bad reputation," Lee Jinhee retorted.

"Alright! Alright! Since you're sick because of me earlier, I won't tease you any longer. But do you want to eat something?" Han Taehyun voiced out.

"After that cake, I don't think I'll feel hungry before evening," Lee Jinhee spoke out, "And now don't say I'm not eating because I don't want to get far away from you because if you do say it, I'll get violent on you."

Han Taehyun let out a laugh and said, "I'm not going to say that. I know that my little squirrel can't eat now because she is not feeling well."

"Glad to see that you understand that," Lee Jinhee voiced out.

That's then, Lee Jinhee remembered something, and turning towards Han Taehyun, she questioned, "Oh right! You have called the Min family and informed them about my accident to them. Didn't you?"

"About that, hmm," Han Taehyun spoke out. It looked to Lee Jinhee as if he was thinking about something.

"Ah! Yes, during the time of karaoke, Min Hyunbin and you looked close. So, I thought it would be alright for me to inform him about it, and when I called him, it was his parents who picked up the call," Han Taehyun explained.

Nonetheless, Lee Jinhee had a nagging feeling that Han Taehyun was hiding something from her. Sharpening her point of view, Lee Jinhee tried to scan Han Taehyun's face for any signs to fuel her suspicion.

However, there wasn't anything. A soft smile sat upon his face, and his eyes showed nothing. It was either that Han Taehyun was saying the truth or Lee Jinhee wasn't unable to read his expression perfectly.

"Oh! Alright. I was just curious about it," Lee Jinhee said.

"So, what do you want to do for the rest of the day? I promise to not annoy you and abide by what you say," Han Taehyun said.

"Really?" Lee Jinhee raised her eyebrows.

Lee Jinhee was starting to get bored, and Han Taehyun's offer sounded good to her. If he did not annoy her and followed by what she said, then she wouldn't have much problems with him.

"Let's watch a movie then," Lee Jinhee stated with a smile on her face.

"However, you can't go against your words and annoy me," Lee Jinhee spoke out as she stared at Han Taehyun strictly.

"I promise to not annoy you, Your Majesty. What you say goes? Happy?" Han Taehyun flashed a charming smile.

Looking at Han Taehyun's smile, Lee Jinhee's face broke out into a wide smile, and she nodded.
