Chapter 153 - Married Couple

Tears continued to fall down her eyes whilst Lee Jinhee stared at the television before her. The movie she was currently watching was absolutely sad, and watching her favorite characters die one after another pitifully made it hard for her to hold in her tears.

'Bus to Daegu' was an extremely popular movie that came out this year, and the tragedies that took place in the movie was able to make most tear up. Although Lee Jinhee tried to hold in her tears, she remained unsuccessful in the end.

Lee Jinhee sobbed.

"That kid! He just passed away just like that. This is just too unfair."

More tears fell down her eyes as the scene in front of her unfolded, and Han Taehyun handed her another piece of tissue. A bored expression sat on Han Taehyun's face whilst he watched the screen in front of her.

He did not understand why people actually cried over something so fake. The people were not actually dying, and this was just some acting. If Lee Jinhee could remain unfazed about his acting, why was she so deeply affected by this?

Accepting the piece of tissue from Han Taehyun, Lee Jinhee wiped away the tears from the corner of her eyes. Even though it was embarrassing to cry in front of Han Taehyun— who remained utterly unaffected by the entire thing and loved to tease her— her tears at this moment wasn't something she could control.

Everything inside of the movie had gone silent at this moment, and Lee Jinhee's gaze sharpened as she watched the television in front of her, trying to notice every small detail.

A male dressed in black, who just woke up, was walking on the bus and was shocked to see blood all around the bus. That instant, all of a sudden, something sharp came towards him, and the man let out a scream. The entire screen became red.

Watching the violent scene in front of her, Lee Jinhee's eyes widened in horror, and she let out a scream. The monster's gruesome face was in front of the screen and unable to see it any longer, Lee Jinhee clutched tightly onto Han Taehyun's arm. Hiding her face into his shoulder, Lee Jinhee blocked her eyes from the sight in the television

The monster tore the man into pieces and started eating him up slowly. Viewing that scene entirely would make Lee Jinhee unable to eat food for days, and she would be unable to sleep during the night.

Her body trembled whilst she held into Han Taehyun's hand. The monster's face played into her mind, and no matter what Lee Jinhee did, she wasn't able to erase it from her mind.

She really regretted her decision to watch that movie. She should have stuck with some teen romance movie, but afraid that Han Taehyun will tease her about her choice, she went with 'Bus to Daegu'— the popular movie everyone talked about.

Han Taehyun softly patted her back. No matter how much Han Taehyun wanted to tease her, he recalled his words from earlier and, therefore, left her alone. Moreover, he didn't hate how close Jinhee was to him and wanted to enjoy this as long as it lasted.

"I-Is the scene over?" Lee Jinhee questioned in a meak tone.

That's when the monster growled again, and Lee Jinhee clung tightly to Han Taehyun. A scream left her mouth. Although Han Taehyun would probably call her a scaredy cat later on, that wasn't Lee Jinhee's priority at this moment.

The credits appeared on the screen, and softly, Han Taehyun said, "The movie is over, Jinhee-ah."

"Really?" Jinhee questioned whilst she raised her head gradually.

She was afraid that Han Taehyun is pranking her, and looking at Han Taehyun's eyes, Lee Jinhee searched for any signs of mischief. There was none.

Staring at Lee Jinhee at this moment made Han Taehyun's throat feel dry all of a sudden. Her lips appeared to be redder than usual, and her hands still held on to him. Fear and vulnerability was present in her eyes, and his eyes went towards her lips continuously although he tried to look away.

Han Taehyun coughed.

"Yes, the movie is really over," Han Taehyun spoke out.

Lee Jinhee glanced at the screen. It seemed that Han Taehyun was not pranking her, and relief spread over her face. The small smile that played on Lee Jinhee's face made his heart beat faster.

When Lee Jinhee stared at Han Taehyun again, Lee Jinhee noticed their current distance, and her eyes widened. Unknowingly, she had gotten too close to Han Taehyun.

Immediately, moving away from Han Taehyun, Lee Jinhee stared at the ground awkwardly, and a light red coloured her cheeks. How did she not realise how close they had become?

In order to ease the atmosphere between both of them, Han Taehyun pinched her cheeks and spoke out, "Let's watch something more light-hearted this time. Alright?"

Lee Jinhee just nodded. She can't handle another movie like this.

•••

By the time the third movie was over, all of Lee Jinhee's fears left her, and she was laughing with joy. Both her and Han Taehyun decided to stick with a comedy movie, and it seemed as if Han Taehyun enjoyed movies of this genre more.

It was the time for dinner now, and since Taehyun's parents had gone on a date, it will be only Taehyun and her dining. As Taehyun had dismissed all the servants for today, he freely dressed as a male.

Seeing Han Taehyun being dressed as a male suddenly made Lee Jinhee feel conscious around him, and a certain type of nervousness bloomed within her. Most probably because Han Taehyun was extremely handsome.

"I'll go and cook dinner now," Han Taehyun, wearing a smile, spoke out, "Don't worry. I'll be making your favorites and won't provoke you to eat more than what you can."

As Han Taehyun stood up from the couch, Lee Jinhee tugged at the sleeve of his shirt, and as he turned back to see what it was, Lee Jinhee questioned, "Can I come along and help?"

Lee Jinhee would not feel good if Han Taehyun cooked the entire dinner for both of them alone whilst she just sat around. Although Lee Jinhee was not good with cooking, she wasn't that bad either, and probably she could lend Han Taehyun a hand.

Han Taehyun patted Lee Jinhee's head and spoke out, "I'll be fine on my own, and I want to surprise you with what I'm cooking today."

"I promise to not trouble you," Lee Jinhee said whilst staring at Han Taehyun with her doe eyes.

A light blush covered Han Taehyun's cheeks, and he voiced out, "Let's do this then. You can help me with cooking when you're all healed. After all, you'll be staying here for a long time. You don't want to accidentally get injured again."

Lee Jinhee understandingly nodded.

Due to her current state, she might end up more of a burden to Han Taehyun than help.

Looking at Lee Jinhee's despondent expression, Han Taehyun said, "Seeing you in an apron sounds good. Of course, only in an apron sounds even—"

Before Han Taehyun could continue, Lee Jinhee glared at the man in front of her and kicked his knee with her strength. Here, she was offering her help and yet he dared to make fun of her. This Taehyun was too infuriating.

"Just go and cook now. I'm starving," Lee Jinhee ordered.

A smirk formed on Han Taehyun's face as he voiced out, "We feel like a married couple now."
