Chapter 165 - Lemonade

After an hour of torture, Lee Jinkyung was not able to talk any longer for it hurt her throat everytime she did, and her body was all bandaged up. Jinkyung noticed that Jinhee had become more fluent and smart with her words.

After Jinkyung was all fixed up, she had to walk to the couch by herself with her injured leg because Taehee went to prepare food for her and Jinhee herself had to walk with crutches. Never in life did Jinkyung face something so humiliating or painful.

Deep inside, Jinkyung vowed to let Jinkyung face something like this one day, and that day it will be Jinkyung who'll be the one in joy. Sitting down on the couch, Jinkyung let out a breath of relief.

Jinhee went to the kitchen in order to accompany Taehyun for she did not want to stay with Jinkyung in the same room. Pulling out a chair in the kitchen, Jinhee sat down on it and watched as Han Taehyun prepared the lemonade for Jinkyung.

Lee Jinhee noticed that a mischievous smile sat on Taehyun's face. Taehyun's eyes lit up with a glint, and although Jinhee was not against him doing anything to Jinkyung, she was curious to know about what he had in mind.

"Did you notice something yet?" Han Taehyun questioned whilst he poured down the lemonade into the glass.

Jinhee raised her eyebrows at that and waited for him to continue.

After Taehyun finished pouring the liquid into the glass, he wiped his hands against his jeans, and walking towards Jinhee, a smile sat on his face.

Leaning her face closer to Jinhee, Han Taehyun spoke out, "Back there, you talked to me."

Lee Jinhee eyes widened at that. After trying to think for a while about what happened back there, she realized that Taehyun was indeed right. She actually talked Taehyun back there in front of Jinkyung.

Jinhee wanted to slam her head against the wall for that. It hasn't even been twelve hours, and she lost to Han Taehyun. This was way too much embarrassing for Jinhee. After how much Jinhee was confident about this, she lost miserably.

"You remembered about it?" Taehyun asked.

Stepping back from Jinhee, Taehyun took a few strands of his long hair and twirled it around his finger. Raising her head at Taehyun, Jinhee held in her urge to glare to Taehyun.

Although it wasn't Taehyun's fault, Jinhee still felt angered and embarrassed about it; She had to take that out on someone. For her, that someone was Taehyun at this moment.

Whilst wearing an expression filled with joy, Taehyun voiced out, "Honestly, you were not that much of a challenge. I didn't attempt to talk you yet you chatted with me that easily."

Lee Jinhee continued to get irritated, and seeing that Jinhee said no word to him, Taehyun spoke out, "Don't tell me you're not going to talk to me now either? I thought you were just a loser, but it seems that you're actually a sore loser."

'No, Jinhee, control yourself. This is a test to see how much self-control you have. You can't lose in it.'

Putting her head down on the kitchen counter, Lee Jinhee closed her eyes and pretended to not look at Han Taehyun. No matter what Han Taehyun said, Jinhee would not get provoked.

"Well, if you're going to be this way, then sure. Continue it. I'll go and have my fun with Jinkyung before targeting you. Do you want to see Jinkyung?" Taehyun asked.

Lee Jinhee gave no reply and continued to keep her eyes closed.

'Out of sight, out of mind,' Lee Jinhee repeated inside of her mouth.

Looking at Lee Jinhee at this moment, a smile spread over Han Taehyun's lips, and extending his hand towards her, he patted Jinhee's head softly. After that, he turned his back on Jinhee, and picking up the glass of lemonade, Han Taehyun walked towards the door of the kitchen.

Raising her head and opening her eyes slightly, Jinhee noticed that Taehyun was walking out without bothering her further, and before she let out a sigh of relief, Taehyun turned his head back.

Jinhee immediately put her head down and closed her eyes tightly. Noticing that, Han Taehyun let out a laugh. Indeed, his little squirrel was extremely cute.

Opening the door to the room, Taehyun placed a friendly smile on his face and stepped inside the room. Jinkyung was seated on the couch, and noticing Taehyun, she even placed a smile on her face.

Setting the glass of lemonade down on the table in front of the couch, Taehyun took the seat opposite to Jinkyung. Jinkyung was about to pick the glass of lemonade and take a sip out of it for she was extremely thirsty when a voice inside of her head stopped her.

"Lee Jinkyung, be careful and don't trust that Taehyun. He is as sly as a fox."

'You're suspecting that Taehyun mixed something with the lemonade?'

"Yes, he is really close to Jinhee and probably likes her. So, you can't exactly trust him," The voice reminded.

'Even if he likes her, his power can't be compared to Taeho's. I'll make sure to be careful.'

When Taehyun noticed that Jinkyung was being hesitant regarding the glass of lemonade, a smile formed on his face. It seemed that she was being on her guard when it came to him, and Taehyun just shrugged his shoulders slightly.

Taehyun knew how thirsty Lee Jinkyung was at this moment and she desperately wanted a glass of water. Nonetheless, she was trying to be careful.

'It's her loss if she doesn't want to accept it. Unfortunately for her, nothing was mixed with it.'

"Jinkyung, you don't like lemonade?" Taehyun questioned politely.

"I-It's not that. I'm not in the mood to drink or eat something at this moment," Jinkyung replied.

"Where is Jinhee though? I needed to urgently talk to her," Jinkyung added.

"Jinhee? Oh! She went to the washroom and will be coming in a few minutes. I'll keep you company until she comes."
