Chapter 214 - Irrelevant

"What nonsense are you uttering at this time of the day, Jinkyung? I mean, why would I even want to hurt Hyunki? I apologise, but honestly, stop accusing me," Jinhee vocalised.

"Jinhee, are you really not admitting it? Why would I even try to create such a lie?" Jinkyung questioned.

"You created it, so you know the reason," Jinhee voiced out, "There could be a misunderstanding about it. There is no need to drag such an irrelevant thing."

"Jinhee, you really see this as irrelevant? It might not matter much to you, but to Hyunki, this means everything. Even if you order me or threaten me, I won't do it."

Letting out a dry chuckle, Jinhee said, "Do you know how nonsensical you sound at this moment, Jinkyung? Get some sleep; I assure you that you definitely need it!"

"Jinhee, you—"

Before Lee Jinkyung could continue, Jinhee hung up the call and let out a sigh. That was definitely a great start to her morning!

"Jinkyung, is this really why you called us all here?" Lee Yeeun, Daeho's wife, voiced out, "You even destroyed my much needed sleep because of it!"

Scoffing, Lee Yeeun turned her back on Jinkyung and walked towards the direction of the door. Before exiting the room, she looked back towards Jinkyung and vocalised, "If you have so much time to waste, go and do something useful instead of disturbing others!"

Shooting a glance towards Jinkyung, Hyunki shook his head to show his disappointment towards her before walking out of the room. Biting her lips down in anger, Jinkyung tightly gripped the phone in her hand and cursed Jinhee silently in her mind.

Lee Chungae, Hyunki's sister, placed her palm upon Jinkyung's shoulder and said, "Unnie, no matter what others say, I am on your side. I am sure that Bitch Jinhee was behind it."

That's when an idea flashed inside Jinkyung's mind, and facing Chungae, Jinkyung said, "Don't you want to take revenge for Unnie, Chungae?"

As Jinhee sat in front of the dining table, she expected Taeho to be present as he had returned to Seoul. However, Jinhee was somewhat surprised by not seeing him here.

'Could it be that he does not stay in this mansion?'

Deciding that this was too personal, Jinhee did not ask the Han Family about this and concentrated on having her food. Turning towards her right, Jinhee realized that Taehyun was staring at her the entire time while he ate.

Realizing that Taehyun's parents were beside them, Jinhee coughed and raised one of her eyebrows whilst staring at him questioningly. Due to being under Taehyun's gaze, a small blush formed upon Jinhee's cheeks.

As Jinhee placed food inside her mouth, Taehyun gave her a wide smile and said, "You look really beautiful in the morning, Jinhee-ah, that you took my breath away."

Hearing those words from Taehyun all of a sudden made Jinhee's eyes widened, and being caught off guard, she began to cough. How could Taehyun say such words to her in front of his parents when she was his brother's fiancée?

As Taehyun forwarded the glass of water towards Jinhee, she accepted it and drank the waterdown. Her coughing seized, and her eyes glared at Taehyun.

The image of that kiss from yesterday floated inside Jinhee's mind when she noticed Taehyun licking his lips, and a thought of wanting to kiss them again emerged within her mind.

Turning her head towards her food, Jinhee picked up the chopsticks and began to eat the food on the plate without glancing towards Taehyun. She did not need to be humiliated by him in front of his parents.

As Jinhee recalled something, she raised her head to look towards the Han Couple and voiced out, "Han Jihye-ssi, Han Jinyoung-ssi, thank you for allowing me to stay here for these days. I will be moving out today."

Showing slight surprise on her face, Jihye said, "Oh! Really? Why all of a sudden though, Dear?"

Glancing at Taehyun, Jihye added, "Did something happen?"

"Yah! Mom, why are you staring at me like that?" Taehyun asked angrily.

Jihye replied, "Because you're a devil."

Wearing a slight smile upon her face, Jinhee said, "No, Jihye-ssi, it's nothing like that. I have to return back home due to some family problems. That's all."

"And I am going along with her; I will be bringing her back as my girlfriend," Taehyun said.

Hearing Taehyun's words, Jinhee stepped on his foot with all of her energy and voiced out, "Stop joking around, Taehyun. I'll be going on my own."

"What are you talking about, Jinhee-ah? I thought we decided on it yesterday. How can you go back on your words?" Taehyun vocalised.

Shaking her head, Jinhee pointed out, "I never agreed, Han Taehyun. It's you who pushed your decision upon me."

Taehyun said, "That's because I stick with you wherever you go. I am your personal bodyguard, and I can't leave your side despite whatever you say."

"I can't afford to have you as my bodyguard," Jinhee said before she looked down at her meal.

"Take me as your boyfriend then. That's cheaper," Taehyun voiced out.

Not wanting to say anything rude to him in front of his parents, Jinhee simply ignored his statement and continued eating. There was no use in exchanging words with Taehyun.

Leaning against the chair, Jinhee waited for Taeho to appear whilst holding her notebook in her hand. Shin Soyeon, dressed in her professional clothing, stood at a distance from Jinhee.

Before Taeho arrived, Jinhee decided to go through her notebook for a while. Jinhee wasn't sure whether or not she could study much once she was at the Lee Mansion. Therefore, she had to treasure every minute she had now.

Hearing the door open, Jinhee immediately put her book down and turned her head towards the direction of the door. Seeing Han Taeho step inside, Jinhee placed her notebook inside her bag and stood up.

Closing the door behind him, Taeho questioned, "Am I late?"
