Sitting at a bakery, Jinhee took a sip out of the smoothie whilst she stared at the paper before her. Twirling the pencil in her hand, Jinhee looked for areas in the drawing she could make improvements in.
Kim Jaehyun wanted to meet up with her for dinner, and as Taehyun wouldn't be back before dinner, Jinhee had no interest in going to the Lee Mansion.
This was her third glass of smoothie, and staring at paper in front of her, she was clueless so far. Biting her lower lip, she decided to make few changes with skirt.
Her design wasn't completely original. It was a piece of Hyunki, which went trending in her last life, and she purely made some changes to it in order to make it seem like something that belonged to an amateur.
Jinhee had to fix her drawing lines at few points and decided to work on them. Being afraid that Taehyun would be suspicious from her design, she decided to do it when Taehyun isn't around her— a time like this.
The chair in front of her was pulled open, and raising her line of sight, Jinhee noticed that Jaehyun had sat down in front of her. After drawing a last line, she closed down her notebook and placed the pencil down.
Smiling at him, she said, "Oh! You're here already."
Kim Jaehyun nodded. Jinhee noticed that his hair was dyed black now, and on his face was a mask. A beanie sat upon his hair, and a smiling expression was on his face.
"I had free time in my schedule and decided to show up early," Jaehyun voiced out.
Then, staring at the book in her hand, Jaehyun added, "You look busy though. Did I disturb you?"
Shaking her head, Jinhee vocalised, "No, it's nothing like that. I was just sketching few designs, and I need inspirations."
Staring at the girl in front of him, Jaehyun's heart had began to rapidly beat within his chest. Although she had firmly rejected him, he can not help but want her. However, before that, he wants to see her happy. For that happiness alone, he is ready to be her side as her friend forever.
"Should we take a walk around the park then until I am recognized by my fans as it is too early for dinner?" Jaehyun questioned after he had glanced towards his watch
"That sounds good," Jinhee, using a cheerful tone, answered, "There is a lot I need to tell you. After all, these days have been eventful."
"I have lots of stories for you as well," Jaehyun vocalised.
°°°
As both of them walked into the park, Jinhee's hand held on to an ice-cream, and as she licked the ice-cream, a laugh escaped her mouth. The park barely had people around the place they were at, and greenery surrounded them.
"Really? What actually happened?" Jinhee questioned whilst disbelief showed upon her face.
Turning towards Kim Jaehyun, Jinhee's eyes stared upon him whilst there was a sparkle in them. A small smile was upon Jaehyun's face as he nodded.
Then facing towards the front, Jinhee voiced out, "No way that had happened. How—"
Before Jinhee could continue further, she heard a voice exclaim Jaehyun's name, and worry began to form within her on whether or not they have encountered one of Jaehyun's fans.
"Jaehyun Oppa!"
Jinhee's experience with Jaehyun's fans was not anything pleasant, and coming across them was something she wanted to avoid. She did not want one of them to go violent on her.
Whipping her head, she turned to see who the person was, and her eyes narrowed when she saw a familiar girl walking towards them. Kwon Youngmi's lips were stretched into a wide smile as she made her way to them.
By seeing both of them together, there was no signs of anger on her face, and for sixteen year old, Youngmi was doing a great job in Jinhee's opinion.
Jaehyun stared at Kwon Youngmi, and his eyes were void of any emotions. Staring at Jaehyun, Jinhee found him being too distant to Youngmi. Didn't he treat her almost like his younger sister in her last life?
Standing in front of Jaehyun, Youngmi voiced out, "It is a surprise seeing you here, Oppa. Is it alright for you to be here?"
Jaehyun nodded.
As if noticing Jinhee now, Youngmi turned towards her and made a polite bow. She, in a docile tone, then said, "Jinhee-ssi, you are here as well. Do you need me to do anything for you?"
Jinhee nodded and said, "You read my mind perfectly, Youngmi-ssi. At this moment, I want you to leave us alone."
Hearing Jinhee's words, a despondent expression sat on Youngmi's face as she stared at the ground. She then let out a sigh and bowed.
"I am really sorry for interrupting your alone time together, Jinhee-ssi. I hope you wouldn't be angry with me for this and can forgive me," Youngmi voiced out.
From Youngmi's tone, one would think that Jinhee was treating with unfairness, and Jinhee understood that Youngmi was trying to make a bad impression of her in front of Jaehyun. However, she wasn't much affected by it.
Regardless of what the reason was, Jaehyun did not favour Youngmi like he did in her last life, and noticing his indifference, she did not worry much about him being angry towards her.
Then raising her head, Youngmi stared towards Jaehyun and said, "Jaehyun Oppa, I will be leaving then. Since Jinhee-ssi doesn't like my presence, it's better for me to leave."
Kim Jaehyun simply nodded.
Jinhee noticed how Youngmi clenched her hands into a tight fist before turning her back on them, and as she walked away from them, Jinhee let out a sigh of relief.
Then, Youngmi halted in her steps, making Jinhee squint her eyes and looked towards her. What could Youngmi want this time around?
"Jinhee-ah, you're coming for my birthday party, right?"
Forcing out a smile at her, Jinhee nodded.
Turning towards Jaehyun, she flashed him a smile and asked, "Did I frighten you by that side of me?"
Jaehyun shook his head and vocalised, "No, it was refreshing. That ice-cream is starting to melt."
Noticing the ice-cream in her hand had begun to drip, Jinhee's eyes widened, and she immediately brought it to her mouth.
