"Are you sure you'll be fine?" Taehyun questioned as Jinhee fixed her hair.
Currently, she was getting ready for Youngmi's birthday party. Dressed in a knee-length blue dress, Jinhee tied her hair into a simple ponytail. Without an invitation, Soyeon wasn't permitted to enter in, and the security will be provided by the President to them.
Taking in a deep breath, Jinhee stared at Taehyun whilst wearing a wide smile upon her face and nodded her head. She then said, "Trust me, Taehyun. I will be perfectly alright. Moreover, Taeho would be there as well."
Han Taehyun wouldn't be able to attend despite of being invited due to an emergency, and it would be a lie if Jinhee said that she did not feel disappointed. Nonetheless, she was well aware that Taehyun had his own life.
"Right, Taeho will be there," Taehyun vocalised, "He better take care of well or else he will be hearing from him."
Letting out a chuckle, Jinhee placed her palm on Taehyun's shoulder and voiced out, "Don't worry, Taehyun-ah. He is not like you; He is not as irresponsible as you."
Jinhee's words caused for Han Taehyun to furrow his eyebrows, and he voiced out, "What do you mean by I am irresponsible? I have done nothing irresponsible so far, and I am pretty sure I did a fairly good job taking care of you."
Sticking out her tongue towards Taehyun, Jinhee vocalised, "Irresponsible or not, you have to admit that Taeho is more of a reliable man than you. At such a age, he has accomplished such a feat, yet here you're, uselessly running after girls."
"I have no interest in turning as boring as him or have that dull face on all the time. I am pretty sure he doesn't have as much as courage or tolerance as me; After all, I am chasing after you," Taehyun vocalised.
Recalling about what Han Taeho did in her last life, Jinhee mumbled, "If only you knew."
Jinhee scoffed and said, "It's useless to argue against you. If I don't want to be late, I would have to leave now, and try not to think too much about me."
Winking towards Jinhee, Taehyun vocalised, "Now that you have mentioned about it, how can I not think about you, Jinhee-ah? Remember to text me every five minutes to let me know that you're fine."
Scrunching up her nose towards Han Taehyun, Jinhee questioned, "What are you? My overprotective father?"
Shaking his head, Taehyun leaned his face closer to Jinhee, and after touching his lips on her forehead, he vocalised, "No, I am your overprotective boyfriend."
Raising her hand, she pushed away Taehyun's chest, and her eyes glared upon him. Him being this close to her made her heart rapidly beat within her chest and feel emotions she was reluctant about.
"I'll be going then," Jinhee vocalised, "And don't try to make a mess with the Lee Family."
°°°
As Jinhee walked down the stairs, she noticed that Jinkyung was standing there, dressed in fancy clothing. Jinhee had guessed the purpose of Jinkyung being like this for the same event happened in her last life as well.
Unlike this life of hers, Jinhee agreed to take Jinkyung along with her, and with Jinkyung being present there, she was simply more humiliated there. Jinhee wasn't a fool this time around to take her along.
Jinkyung's mother, Lee Jiyoung, stood beside Jinkyung, and seeing both of them, she held in her urge to roll her eyes. It seemed that two of them were really adamant on embarrassing themselves.
Then again, Jinhee could somewhat understand them. Being invited to the birthday party of the president's daughter was an honourable matter, and Jinkyung definitely would use every way possible to get into the birthday party.
Ignoring the two of them, Jinhee walked towards the direction of the door. Since any one of them didn't mention about this topic, she had no interest on starting about it.
"Jinhee, wait!" Jiyoung vocalised.
Hearing Lee Jinyoung's voice, Jinhee turned her head back, and raising one of her eyebrows, she questioned, "What do you need?"
"Take Jinkyung along with you; It wouldn't look good upon you if you go alone," Jiyoung said whilst staring sternly at Jinhee.
"Is this is the attitude of someone who is asking for a favour?" Jinhee asked whilst arching her eyebrows.
"Who is asking you for favour? It's your duty to take your sister along with me! Don't be this selfish, Jinhee. It won't have a good outcome," Jiyoung said.
Glancing over at the watch in her hand, she read the time, and a frown formed on her face, noticing that she was already late.
Jinhee's eyes stared upon Jiyoung with disapproval. She had thought for Jiyoung to be an elegant and composed woman. However, greediness is changing that.
"Being greedy isn't good either, Lee Jiyoung," Jinhee vocalised, "You and your daughter shouldn't go for something that doesn't belong to you. It won't have a good outcome."
Staring down at the ground, Jinkyung vocalised, "Jinhee-ah, I know that I haven't been the best sister to you, and maybe it's a really good decision for you to not take me with you.
However, Jinhee, I really want to go to the party and see how it looks at least once in my life. I won't get the chance to do anything like this second time."
Clapping both of her hands together, Jinhee smiled towards Jinkyung and said, "Jinkyung-ah, I want to bring you along as well. However, on the card, it says that no partner could be brought along. The only way you can get in now is by contacting Youngmi, and sadly, I don't have her number."
In her last life, she called Youngmi and personally pleaded to let Jinkyung in. However, Jinhee had no interest in doing such a thing in this life of hers.
Bowing towards the mother and daughter pair, Jinhee vocalised, "If everything went through that thick head of yours, I will be leaving then."
