Chapter 243 - Psychopath's den

Han Taehyun stared upon Lee Jinhee in front of as she received the call from Yejoon. He could clearly see the excitement upon her face, and having an idea on how she must have felt, he genuinely was happy for her.

Now that he was given another chance to start over with Lee Jinhee, he was willing to give her the happiness she deserved yet did not get in his previous life.

In his last life, he remained unsuccessful about it, and in the end, what was the result of all of it was her death. He wasn't going to let her die this time around that easily.

He will be holding on to her life tightly, and although he still hasn't managed to eradicate all the big dangers from her life, he was very close to doing so.

Kwon Youngmi would be destroyed very soon, and even though Taehyun could get rid of her in a day or two, he was well aware that his Jinhee would want to torture her.

Even though he doesn't get the reason behind Jinhee's hatred towards Youngmi, he suspected for her to be like him and Jaehyun. However, if she was like him, it wouldn't make sense for her to hate him and Jaehyun.

Could it be that some misunderstanding have had happened between them in his last life?

"Father, hello. How are you doing?" Jinhee vocalised— her voice clearly showing how happy she felt at this moment.

"I am fine, Dear. How did your exams go?" Yoojoon said.

It touched Jinhee's heart on Yoojoon mentioned about her exam first before Hyunbin's matter. It showed that he cared for her before that, and the smile on her face grew to become wider.

"It was alright, Father. I managed to answer them all, and I am positive I will be acing them," Jinhee answered.

"Aigoo! I know that my daughter will be making me proud unlike that incompetent son of mine! That bastard did not write sixty percent of the paper," Yoojoon voiced out.

Hearing his words, a chuckle left Jinhee's mouth, and she said, "Father, he is lying to you. Trust me, throughout the entire exam, he concentrated on the paper, and he really tried hard this time around."

"That Bastard would be failing even if he put his full concentration on to it, but I am lucky to have you as my daughter now," Yoojoon stated.

He continued, "Anyway, you have to start studying for the exam tomorrow, and I have to force that bastard to study as well now that he is allowed to give the exams. Good luck, Jinhee! About Hyunbin, I am really grateful to you. Thank you, Jinhee-ah."

"You don't need to thank me, Father; I am his older sister, so it is normal for me to do such a thing," Jinhee vocalised, "I'll be hanging up then, and, Father, he bullied me a lot today so please take revenge for me."

Laughter left Yoojoon's mouth at Jinhee's words. He felt joy spread all over him as his daughter was finally opening up to him.

"Yes, I will teach him an appropriate lesson for troubling my beautiful daughter!"

His words made Jinhee laugh, and she said, "Yes, do that! Then, father, bye. Take care."

"You take care of yourself as well. Bye," Yoojoon vocalised before cutting off the call.

As her eyes stared upon the screen in front of her, a small smile sat on Lee Jinhee's mouth, and a part of her wanted to stay with the Min Family.

If her mother had given her over to the Min Family, she wondered on about how her life would have been. Nonetheless, although she craved for those things, she liked things better this way.

Looking towards Han Taehyun, she felt her heart beating rapidly as he grinned at her widely. She wouldn't have made such memories with him if it wasn't for this situation.

"What are you thinking about, Jinhee?" Taehyun questioned.

Shaking her head, Jinhee said, "Just that I am lucky to be living like this. Although I thought myself as unlucky to have you in my life previously, you're changing that opinion of mine."

Warmth spread through Taehyun's heart at Jinhee's words, and he leaned his face closer to Jinhee's. As he stared at her straight in the eyes, a small smirk formed on his mouth.

"Can I take that you falling for me?" Taehyun questioned.

"You are the only person, Taehyun, that I am allowing to be this close to me, and someone I really trust the most. You already know that, and whether or not I love you, I don't want to be separated from you," Jinhee vocalised.

Although this was not first time she had said such words to Taehyun, she wanted to repeat it again. Feelings were not something she could control, and if her heart wanted to fall for Taehyun, there was not anything she could do about it.

"You sound like a psychopath at this moment, Jinhee, with that sentence of yours. Talking about that, do you really have psychopathic disorder?

You want to keep me all to yourself and bind me by your side at any cost. You aren't gentle or caring towards me yet you are not satisfied unless I only belong to you," Taehyun said whilst a teasing expression sat in his eyes.

His words made Lee Jinhee shrug her shoulders, and as she brought her face closer to Taehyun's, she tried to portray on a creepy expression.

"You are the one who walked into this psychopath's den, and now that you have figured out my secrets, I can't let you ever leave," Jinhee stated.

Whilst a glint appeared in Han Taehyun's eyes, he extended his hand towards Lee Jinhee, and holding her back, he brought her body near to his.

Raising her head, Jinhee stared at Taehyun's face as he leaned his face closer to hers. She could feel his breath upon her face, and her heart began to flutter at that.

Subconsciously, she found herself closing her eyes, waiting for that feeling from the other day to come to her.
