Chapter 242 - Half dead

After they were done with the exams and classes for today, Jinhee felt herself being exhausted and was desperate to go home. Nonetheless, a small smile sat on her face.

Everything in the exam paper felt really easy to Jinhee, and she had a feeling that she has done better in this life of hers compared to her last life.

As Jinhee and Taehyun walked in the hallway,— ready to go home— she could feel Min Hyunbin's glare upon her, and she held in her desire to let out a chuckle.

She could see that he was not at all happy with the outcome. However, as his older sister, she need to be the mature one.

Turning back, Jinhee smiled towards him and vocalised, "After all that hard work, I have put into that, I am expecting a treat Min Hyunbin."

As his eyes glowered upon Jinhee, he voiced out, "The only thing I will be treating you with you, Jinhee, is poison. All that effort I have put into avoiding the exam had gone into waste, and that happened all because of you."

Jinhee stuck her tongue out towards Min Hyunbin and said, "Sucks to be a loser. Since you don't have as much as brain as me, you'll forever be a loser."

Hearing those words from Lee Jinhee made annoyance within Min Hyunbin rise, and whilst clenching his hand into a tight fist, he asked, "What did you just say?"

Laughing, Jinhee said, "I said that you are a loser, Min Hyunbin! You lost to me, and now you are a loser."

Lee Jinhee had no idea on why she was trying to annoy Min Hyunbin. She found herself being a lighthearted mood, and she felt like wanting to tease him further.

Watching his annoyed face gave her a joy, and she found herself wanting to tease him further. She found herself being joyful today, and she wanted to keep on laughing this wholeheartedly more.

"Min Hyunbin is a loser! He lost to a little girl, who he called dumb before!" She repeated multiple times as she noticed that frown forming on his face.

Her voice attracted the attention of the passersby, and Jinhee did not care about that. Han Taehyun's eyes stared upon her, and he had a small smile on his face.

Kim Jaehyun, who had arrived to the school after the exams were over, discussed some matters with Chaewon at one corner. However, hearing the sounds of Jinhee's laugh, he turned his head to look towards her.

Realizing how much Jinhee was enjoying the current situation, both the boys— Han Taehyun and Kim Jaehyun— had their hearts beating rapidly at her and found her looking absolutely ethereal at this moment.

"Yah! Lee Jinhee," He vocalised.

Realizing how Hyunbin was staring at her and walking at her direction, her eyes widened, and turning back, she was ready to make a run for it.

As Jinhee ran, constant laughter left her mouth, and turning back, she stuck her tongue towards Min Hyunbin. Seeing that Hyunbin grew more agitated and increased his running speed.

As both of them sped in the hallway, the students and teachers stared at them. Nevertheless, Jinhee paid no attention to it. She wanted to keep on smiling until she couldn't anymore due to her jaws hurting.

°°°

A groan left Jinhee's mouth as she leaned against the car's seat. She found herself being extremely exhausted after that session with Min Hyunbin and closed her eyes.

Min Hyunbin had made her perfectly brushed hair— which was done by Taehyun earlier— into a mess, and knowing that she had to deal with the tangles when she got back home later on made her feel annoyed.

Her uniform had wrinkles all over it, and the collar to her shirt was not properly kept. Min Hyunbin had tickled her at least ten minutes, and remembering that, she could feel her body being sore even now.

"You look half dead," Taehyun vocalised.

"I feel more than half dead. Aish! Why do I provoke him in the first place? Could it be that I am an idiot?" Jinhee vocalised whilst cursing at herseld mentally.

If she hadn't annoyed Hyunbin by saying those words, then she wouldn't have to go through that torture.

"You're an idiot then, Jinhee— an idiot, who was extremely happy," Taehyun vocalised.

Even though Jinhee called herself an idiot, she did not fancy others calling her so, and therefore, she glared at Han Taehyun whilst turning at his direction.

Noticing how cute Jinhee seemed at this moment, especially with her hair, Taehyun let out a chuckle, and extending his hand towards her, he pinched her cheek softly.

"Aigoo! My cute little squirrel, let me fix your hair first. You definitely don't want the Lee family to laugh at your hair," Taehyun vocalised.

Hearing Han Taehyun's words, Jinhee nodded and turning her back towards him, she let him do his work with her hair.

As she had stepped into her room with Han Taehyun, Jinhee heard her phone ringing. Wondering who the call could be from, Jinhee placed her school bag on top of her study table.

Opening the zipper, she took out her phone from the bag, and reading 'Min Yoojoon' on top of the screen, a small smile formed on her face.

As Taehyun walked towards Lee Jinhee, his eyes fell on top of her screen, and he read the name written on it. Knowing that this was the call from Jinhee's father, he decided upon giving her some privacy.

"I'll be going outside then," Taehyun vocalised whilst he walked towards the direction of the door.

However, before he could leave, Jinhee extended her hand towards him and held his sleeve in order to stop him from leaving.

She had no idea on why she was doing so. Nevertheless, she did not feel as if Taehyun was invading her privacy and wanted for him to stay along with her.

"You can be here," Jinhee said before receiving the call.

Watching Lee Jinhee's grip on his shirt's sleeve, a small smile formed on Taehyun's face.
